Would you support a surveillance state in America?

Of course not.

When politics is so corrupt as it is today, a surveillence state will be in the hands of devils.

Perhaps I'm too paranoid from all the violent content I get on my feed

Assaults are apparently hitting new lows

You're not too paranoid we already have and use CCTV everywhere to solve crimes and such. This would just solidify it.  We already rely on it heavily but it's not enforced so it has caused us to miss solving many crimes where camera systems weren't working in establishments or on streets.  So I think it would be a good idea.  As long as it was used for good.

If you wanna watch a good show on how CCTV has come to the rescue it's a show called See No Evil on the Discovery channel. One of my favorite.

Am I stupid or is Donald Trump using Kirk's murder as leverage to silence the left or anyone he seems peacefully resisting his authoritarianism? Basically eradicating the first amendment to his will and doing anything he can to take away people's ability to bat an eye or raise concern, using force to suppress dissent

He is of course using it to score points for the right but what do you mean by eradicating the first ammendment? How would he be stifling your freedom of speech?

Trump is stifling free speech by rebranding protest as terrorism. Peaceful resistance and protest are literally what the First Amendment protects. When he calls people "domestic terrorists" just for opposing him and sends federal troops to silence them, that’s a direct attack on freedom of speech. It’s not about safety, that's straight up about control.

People are scared to even speak up because he used this term "antifa" as a nebulous concept to blur the lines of free speech and actual terrorism. Basically he can now claim whoever he wants as a domestic terrorists and label them antifa to justify an authoritarian dictator motive and silence anyone who disagrees with his stupid devilishly ruthless ego child agenda. Antifa isn't even an organization or anything. So he's using the fact that it's an amorphous concept to use it against his political opponents

Well..the thing is its rarely used but..and this is from AI:

Yes, a U.S. President can authorize the National Guard to stop protests, but the legal authority to do so is complex and has been a subject of significant legal and political debate. Historically, the National Guard is controlled by state governors. However, the President has the power to "federalize" a state's National Guard unit, placing it under federal command, especially under the Insurrection Act of 1807.

So this is what he has been using to deploy the National Guard to states and overrule the governor there.

Antifa is a real thing he just throws it around whenever he wants

I am with you i think it's an abuse of power but it is within his power by law.  Trump is a snake that will slither into every possible corner.  I was against him deploying the National Guard to DC but I guess it ended up not being such a big deal.

He's basically an adult child. Always center of attention, using his wealth as a form of self worth and value, doesn't pause to think for a second and doesn't consider the cost of his actions on the American people he says he supports. It's a mix of cognitive thrombosis and out of control man child taking over the world.

I was analyzing his early childhood and how he behaved and it's literally the same shit he's doing now but with the privilege of being born into this corrupt distorted luxurious life.

@ExploringReality

I see a few good things coming from his Presidency though.  I think the increased tarrifs will eventually cause more factories to be built in the US and I think the immigration laws needed to be tightened up.  Open borders wasn't working.  Abortion laws also needed tweaking.  Outside of that..those are the only positives.  Internationally when it comes to wars he has not been the presence everyone thought he would be.  Russia is doing what it wants and so is Israel.  Inflation is still sky high but that's because of the tarrifs and they were high with Biden. But the stuff you mentioned is really negative.   We have to vote democrat coming up.  As long as they aren't going to completely reverse what I stated above.  I do not agree with deporting everyone point blank so I think they went too far with immigration? Maybe find a middle ground.  An illegal that's been here 20 years doing good things for the country shouldn't be kicked out.  I think a review needs to be done.

@Inliytened1

Young kids as young as toddlers have been separated from their families and even died in conditions of immigrant and ice facilities. They are treated like dogs or rats, no medical care, kids are sleeping on the floor with foil paper, it's over crowded, it's fucking despicable man!!!!

I hear you brother but what's the solution just keep everyone who is already here here and then close the borders or leave them wide open?

It's nuanced, this is the hot potato. This requires an intelligent answer

Trump himself, also Vance, and we can point to Stephen Miller as well, as part of his administration both terms, are using this event to go further in their authoritarianism against the left, which has nothing to do with what happened as far as we know. Tyler Robinson was raised in a rightwing family with early access to weapons and the gun culture, but their narrative is to blame the left. There's zero real evidence that he was involved in politics in any meaningful way.

The left, meaning I guess the Democratic Party, other organizations, and even influencers, have to undoubtedly condemn this act, where a right-winger was the victim. They have to also be critical of leftists that have celebrated this death, that's not fine. But it doesn't need to paint Kirk as better than he was, and it can't let the authoritarian right step on them, or let them blame them for something they are not responsible for.

Another very thoughtful analysis of the ballistics and the crime scene. Based on all the information and data he has been collecting, which could be even more if the FBI released it, he has drawn some conclusions. He is critical of the way the FBI and the authorities have conducted the investigation, or rather, the lack thereof.

He believes that what we saw in the neck is the entry wound, that there wasn't an exit wound, so the bullet would be inside the body, but that the shot wasn't taken from the position we've been told, nor the type of weapon or bullet. He also rejects the theory that he was wearing a protective vest.

Kash Patel is a piece on Trump's chessboard to protect the king from checkmate.

Look at Patel's early career! He was a public defender in Miami defending accused criminals and juggling a surmountable amount of cases, that says a lot.

This is what Netanyahu tweeted

"Charlie Kirk was murdered for speaking truth and defending freedom. A lion-hearted friend of Israel, he fought the lies and stood tall for Judeo-Christian civilization. I spoke to him only two weeks ago and invited him to Israel. Sadly, that visit will not take place. We lost an incredible human being. His boundless pride in America and his valiant belief in free speech will leave a lasting impact. Rest in peace, Charlie Kirk"

So obviously they were friends and would eat dinner together and talk about how they would steal more land and how any Palestinian who fights back is a terrorist and any Palestinian who refuses to leave the land should just starve to death

He isn't so innocent. It's like those 20 year old Israeli girls who got kidnapped. Your initial reaction is to feel really bad as if an injustice has been done. But really these young dancing women who just want to live their lives and have fun are actually ruthless IDF military baby killers with no regard for life or emotion

Anyone attached to Israel has deep rooted problems that you can't even believe and the implications are far reaching. They could be pedophiles, mass murderers, thieves, propagandists, or all of the above. You just don't know
