I am here for my enjoyment. I also use the forum as a test-bed for my own thoughts and I gain experience dealing with people here. Without the forum this work would be too isolating. I have learned a lot about dealing with people here. I also get feedback on my work which is important. I can't do this work just totally isolated, talking to no one about it, hearing nothing, knowing nothing. I need to understand how my work affects people and what issues people are facing, what questions they have, what progress they're making, etc.

If all I did was record videos, that would be way too limited. And I am not interested in running a commune.

Your view of this forum is too cynical, as if everything here is just useless noise.

People who are into this kind of work are extremely rare. To have dozens and hundreds of them here is no trivial thing. Don't brush that off so flippantly.

@Leo Gura This forum is a gold mine as well as the blog!

I find tremendous value in the forum, I rarely post, mostly when I have questions I ask them on the forum, but the most important tool I use on the forum is the search bar. For example last week I wanted to understand more about China, and I searched the word China in your posts, I found tremendous value reading all your posts about China, a few months ago I did the same for Russia and Ukraine! Your work here is unparalleled and grossly unappreciated! Thank you so much for everything you ever done for us! 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹

I think this one is the best if we talk general personal development. I personally am part of a paywalled discord server also, focused on politics/economy. I like the voice chat feature of discord but not much the text channels. This forum format is better for writing.

Beautifully said! Unparalleled indeed. The forum and Leo's posts are an amazing supplement to his videos and I love reading them in order to see how deeply unlimited consciousness can understand the world and provide real answers, on such a diverse range of topics. It is the biggest gold mine on the net. Some of the free advice people get here is beyond ridiculous. And still some moan, haha. Poor Leo.

Nah nah nah, philosophy is a gold mine. This community is like finding a gold mine, then seeing some opal, mining it, breaking the wall and finding an opal mine behind it which makes the golds value pale

This forum is my go to place on internet. There is nothing like this anywhere on internet. There used to be some forums from 2005-2010 that I used to visit and contribute. But currently this is the only place I feel like visiting and reading maybe posting something once in a while.
I don't participate as much but, I get a lot out of it by reading others.

It's like in the company of many high consciousness people who just by interacting with each other talk with me, without me saying a word. It's a gathering in the league of it's own.

What I like about this forum is that the posts and comments are almost always substantive. People have something to say as opposed to variations of "I agree" and two sentence comments for the entire thread.

The weaker aspect is that some users sometimes tend to be some kind of ideological and overly argumentative or just yap way too much.

There are good mediums for deep 'discussion', such as reading or writing books and articles, even just journaling. There's still such little deep thought that you may mostly be 'interacting' with thinkers of the past, and future!

I interact with fast format like this when I have no energy to think, or am anxiously avoiding something else, lol. It seems to me that most others on here must be the same way or depressed. I think this is a terrible place for any kind of socializing, or replacement for. Unless you're some worthless mystic, you must find good friends to socialize with, even if just occasionally, live.

A format like this could be useful for nuggets of wisdom, but that seems like it would need a lot less ego especially with the level of social skills of most people you read on here.

yes and I think we lose our social skills more quickly perhaps when we're discussing, in some cases with practically anonymous strangers (although some people on the forum will know each other) the nature of reality because in conventional life, our understanding of reality seems, either consciously or unconsciously, to inform our survival, which again, in conventional life, we hold most precious. And this work might seem to threaten that understanding again and again and again, ha :)

Well it seems that some people like this way of communication. It is the reason people are here that is important. If they are here to help others and learn stuff, great. If they are here because they don't have any better survival mechanisms and copings, that becomes a problem.

Leo's answer bought me, now I understand why he is here and he has good reasons.

You can also reach the limit of your inquiry within a domain - you naturally branch out and explore other domains. A broader perspective then facilities a deeper understanding of the original territory.

I think the forum acts like this for Leo

Deal with the issue now, on your terms, in your control. Or the issue will deal with you, in ways you won't appreciate, and cannot control.

Many internet forums are good and useful.

I have gotten much value out of other forums.

People these days don't utilize forums enough. Forums are way better than hollow social media like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Discord.

The reason I started this forum is because I got lots of value from other forums throughout my life and wanted one of my own, centered on my favorite topics, since good self-help forums are rare.

I am also a member of other self-help community too. And I say that it is highly valuable as genuine self-help is rare.

Was just making a playful joke by the way aha. I get what what you’re saying here though.

It is rare because truly developed people are rare. It is not like you go to your random bar and you find more developed people than on an Internet forum. I went to some of the most fancy hippie festivals and even there most people cannot step out of the post-modern trap. The other non-hippie festivals and events had even more underdeveloped people.

The most impressed I was by post-modern women, they have some kick. Conservative men can have some good points but they lack empathy, refinement and discipline. They don't walk the talk. And 90% of post-modern men are next to worthless. Sweden builds great women and shitty men. It is truly amazing how it works, create a safe feminine environment and women become better, men become worse.

People just follow trends like sheep. It is like installing a software on a brain. The most popular softwares in the West are modern consumerism and post-modern hippie idealism. This is a truly rare place, a place pioneering Tier 2. Beyond post modern nonsense

Social media by design burries the creators who evolved over society's center of gravity (modern). The algorithms are not designed for promoting high consciousness. You managed to come out in people's feed because of your great marketing skills/timing/ambition(/money?)

Social media offers what people want. And people want chimp stuff.
