It's normal and healthy to deport illegal migrants. There's nothing inherently racist about maintaining border integrity. It's a necessary function of government which you can't simplistically treat as racist. Obama has deported more people than Trump during his first term (3 million). There's no shot Kamala wouldn't have been deporting people either. She just wouldn't make a show of it.

Borderless societies are a fantasy. Your not going to change fundamental human nature and the need for national integrity.

The brains behind the current deportations is Stephen Miller, who is a well-known bigot and now senior advisor to Trump that has dedicated his life to hatred of Mexicans.  What is being done isn't based on pure motives.   In fact, it is very dark and is not going to end well.

Sad thing is he comes from a Jewish family with holocaust survivors in his family. Many white nationalists would deny the holocaust and blame the core of global issues on the Jews.

Just don’t protest against him, that’s leftist lunacy.

I think he didn’t mean that. He just meant not burning cars and waiving Mexican and Palestinian flags, it gives the right more power.

To which I’d say the level of chaos is severely overblown and the idea that all of Los Angeles is burning is literally a right-wing talking point. You can find videos of protestors telling looters to gtfo of shops because it makes them look bad.

The issue here isn’t whether a few cars have been burnt or not, it’s whether the Trump administration has the legal power to unilaterally deport people without due process and deploy the military (which it doesn’t BTW.) That’s the only important message here.

EDIT: What about all the white, black, Asian, etc protestors? Why do right-wingers act like everyone sticking up for justice has been shipped straight out of Juarez by some cartel or something? What about all the legal Hispanic citizens protesting the very real fear their communities are facing? Do they not exist?

This issue is not about protests at all. It's about the left's refusal to do anything about illegal immigration.

Republican immigration MO:

- Refuse to pass whatever migration reforms the Democrats propose

- Make it harder for migrants to get citizenship so ethnic enclaves develop

- Refuse to provide sane law enforcement bills to enforce deportations for the worst offenders (and never target white business owners while you’re at it)

- Do this for decades while the problems get worse

- Finally decide you’re just going to break the constitution to “fix” the problem you created, all the while blaming Democrats

- Destroy civil society in the process

- ????

- Profit!

Let’s not forget that all of this has been caused so Trump can declare martial law and deflect from the Epstein allegations too.

Again, why didn't Bush or Trump during his first term ram through an aggressive border security bill through Congress when they each had the government trifecta? In fact, why hasn't Trump worked with Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority leader John Thune to pass their own version of a border security bill when they have the government trifecta right now and would have no problem eliminating the filibuster for it?

It's very sad that Trump and the GOP killed that bipartisan border security bill that Democrats tried to pass last year.

Trump and the Republicans always like to talk a big game about being tough on illegal immigration, but at the end of the day, all they really care about is just owning the libs whenever it's convenient for them instead of enforcing and upgrading our border's security in a competent manner.

You are repeating right wing propaganda.   These people who are being arrested are hard working people. Last week ICE did a military style raid iin South Park to arrest two dishwashers.   Biden and Obama were also deporting criminals.  The criminals are maybe 1 percent of the immigrant population.  The Internet creates reality.

I used to eat at that restaurant. I left SD a couple years ago, cool that you know it. Best pizza!

Newsom is the most presidential looking Dem I've ever seen.

He's strong, I admire him for that. But his actions have been questionable lately. Didn't he meet with Bannon on a podcast? I don't know what the fuck that was about.

1) I'm not saying Trump has never caused significant harm during his presidency, I just struggle to find any solid examples.

2) ...along with the rise of political correctness and woke ideology has made it very easy for many to see Trump as a bad person. I was an anti-Trump "anarchist" until disagreements about gender identity with vegan activists who used to be my friends caused me to question the ideologies I had fallen for.

1) Rape, citing an insurrection, tax fraud, money laundering, cozying up to mobsters, collusion with Russia, friends with epstein

2) You took the bait. The anti-woke agenda was meant to distract you from the above. Distract and deflect, that's Trump's survival strategy.

He's gutting the constitution, privatizing institutions that help people, creating policies that will kill and impoverish millions of people, destroying jobs, etc.

That was strategic. They killed it because they knew he'd have nothing left to run on. That and woke-ness. @carterfelderstill would have taken the bait though.

Does everyone representing the right know how many bills the democrats have tried to pass on immigration?  A hell of a lot more than the republicans.

This is about perception and the need for labor.

  • The perception that the right is strong on immigration and the perception of fear
  • The right's worship of capitalism, which requires cheap labor.
  • A fascist's need for an opponent.
  • A minority of actual left-wing commentators who would advocate for lax border controls. The actual left is so small these days I don't know how anyone with a straight face can blame the actual left for anything practically. Except to try to engineer perception for their own viewpoints.

No no don’t you get it? A handful of tattooed protestors this past week have held far more systemic economic, cultural, financial and political power over the nation than the entire federal GOP apparatus has for the past 30+ years.

Won’t SOMEBODY spare those poor, fragile Republicans from doing their job?? :P

Remember when Palpatine manufactured a fake crisis to justify a massive military build up and emergency powers for himself?

But then the whole crisis wasn’t even real and when it “ended” he refused to step down?Anyway science fiction is crazyyyyy

They probably took that from Adolf

Gpt:

The Reichstag Fire is one of the most infamous political events in 20th-century history, often associated with Nazi manipulation and the consolidation of Adolf Hitler’s power in Germany.

🔥 What Was the Reichstag Fire?

Date: February 27, 1933

Location: Reichstag building (German parliament) in Berlin

What happened: The building was set ablaze late at night. The fire caused significant damage, particularly to the assembly chamber.

🧍‍♂️ Who Was Blamed?

Marinus van der Lubbe, a 24-year-old Dutch communist, was arrested at the scene.

He claimed he acted alone to protest against capitalism and the decline of workers’ rights.

❗ Nazi Response

Hitler, newly appointed Chancellor of Germany, seized on the event to stoke fear of a communist uprising.

He persuaded President Paul von Hindenburg to sign the Reichstag Fire Decree the next day.

🏛️ Reichstag Fire Decree (Feb 28, 1933)

This emergency decree:

Suspended civil liberties, including freedom of speech, press, assembly, and privacy.

Allowed for warrantless arrests and detention without trial.

Targeted Communists, Socialists, and other political opponents.

Paved the way for the Nazis to crush opposition and consolidate power before the March 1933 elections.

🕵️ Was It a False Flag?

Theory 1:

Lone Arsonist (Official Nazi Position)

Nazis claimed van der Lubbe acted on behalf of the Communist Party, using it as justification for a crackdown

Theory 2:

False Flag by the Nazis

Many historians believe the Nazis orchestrated or at least exploited the fire to engineer a crisis.

SA (Sturmabteilung) or SS (Schutzstaffel) operatives may have helped start the fire or knew in advance.

The Nazis had a strong motive: it allowed them to eliminate civil liberties, jail opponents, and expand their power under the guise of national emergency.

💡 Historical Consensus Today

Most historians today agree that van der Lubbe probably did start the fire, but:

He may not have acted alone.

The Nazis almost certainly used the event cynically to justify authoritarian rule.

Whether they set it themselves or opportunistically exploited it remains debated.

⚠️ Impact

The fire marked the beginning of the Nazi dictatorship.

Within weeks, the Enabling Act was passed (March 1933), giving Hitler full legislative power and effectively ending democracy in Germany.

The American left seems to be a particular brand of stupid. It's so very optics based. Like immigration control is problematic just because it looks racist, irrespective if it actually is in of itself.

In Denmark, you have to go far, far left all the the way to the fringes of the political aisle before anyone even starts thinking that controlled immigration is problematic. there isn't this noise of if its even slightly conservative its automatically bad.

Political polarization is Americas most toxic cultural export, as I see it kind of spread through the internet.

But i think that’s a newer thing. They had bad experiences with immigration. Places like Christiania got worse. They saw how horrible Sweden, Belgium etc. is doing with immigration so they became stricter.

West European left is also delusional with immigration imo.
