AMA: Consciousness Apprentice Program Graduate - Peter Ralston

33 posts in this topic

I did a 8 month long program called the Consciousness Apprentice Program (CAP) with Peter Ralston/ Brendan Lea and finished the program in 2022. My experience of life has improved and I have became more conscious as a result of the program.

I know many people in this forum are familiar with Peter Ralston's work and are probably curious about the work. Happy to help answer any questions to help others. I'm not here to gossip, tell stories, or do anything socially like that. I want to empower others and help them get more conscious.

Are you AWAKE?

Imagine for a moment, dear friends, that you are Conciousness, and that you have only this one awareness - that you are at peace, and that you are.

What did you take out of it, specifically? What principles did you get a handle on? What insights did you have?

What would you say contributed to your growth the most?

Also, how do you see communication and listening now?

What is God?

"Finding your reason can be so deceiving, a subliminal place.

I will not break, 'cause I've been riding the curves of these infinity words and so I'll be on my way. I will not stay.

And it goes On and On, On and On"

Ralston is a scam but he is a genius at it which makes him legit.

Leo too, the art of selling nothing is an art.

You really just need nothing anyway, go get some more nothing.

Another question I have is this:

I was thinking along these lines: What if you sent an entire NBA team to Peter Ralston for a week (or a month, even better), and they worked with him on consciousness and body-being related matters — Don't you think they would play so much better?

@AerisVahnEphelia what this man said above is partially true because Ralston is literally selling nothing, and for a price, for what that's worth. But what distinguishes him from a scam artist is that he does not claim or promise to sell something that he isn't. He never lies to his students that they will gain anything in particular.

On the flip side, his teachings can be super helpful and valuable in martial arts or creative art or really any discipline in the world.

If I was an NBA GM or coach, I would have my whole team study from Ralston, take a week in Hawaii for "team bonding" where they trip together naked and learn who they really are, and then introduce a new system of Basketball called "spontaneous play." We won't play with premade plays in mind, or systems or offman-bigman screen-right type of shit.

We will be utterly fluid on the floor, and, having no plan, the defense could never prepare for us.

Lol, just a sneak peak here at some of my fantasies.

Who thinks this would work?

I did not have an enlightenment on my true nature. I did become directly conscious of who I am.

How much of your self structure did you manage to dissolve would you say?

I got free of some of my patterns and my overall suffering is less. But I'm still pretty much the same person. A lot of the work I did was becoming more conscious of what was there already. Pretty much everyone has reoccurring patterns they act to fix some part of them selves that they think is broken. It's good to become conscious of what those patterns are in oneself.

There's so much. The work isn't limited to Peter, it's about becoming conscious of what's true, and so it's a lot.

In terms of principles, listening was a big one. It's about hearing another person's experience, what they experience, not what you think they mean. It's getting their experience, and recognizing the difference between their experience and my reaction to them.

One insight was that my experience is already complete. There's nothing broken or wrong with me. All I need to be happy is already there. My experience is whole and complete as it is. When something just "is", there's nothing wrong with it. It's just existing. Wrongness is something I apply with my mind.

What contributed the most to my growth is being honest about what's going on and communicating it to others. Not hiding and telling someone exactly what's going in your experience was scary and hard for me, but it made a difference and pushed me to confront uncomfortable truths about the person I am.

Communication is having someone get your experience and for you to get their experience. It's something I use a lot of in my intimate relationship as it build a sense of connection.

Yea everyone’s goal isn’t to dissolve their self. But yea when we get rid of old patterns it can include shedding a little of the ego (I’m not sure but I experienced it like that). But it sounds good what you’ve done! Very cool. There’s a lot of depth to ourselves so there’s a lot to become aware of and with greater awareness we can lessen our suffering through changing ourselves!
