I said it before, the most ideological people on this forum are progressive people. They can be so pigheaded it's embarrassing. I think they see themselves as superior so they think they don't have to check their epistemics, which is by the way a big reason why woke got so big among academics and elites. The managerial class get to feel morally superior while completely ignoring general systemic inequality (class). Also big reason why Twitter and Reddit psychos are so "liberal". They never miss a cheap gotcha.

From my observations of religious and cult followers, they confuse awakening with a hypnotic state.

They love that state because it's not ordinary; it's something that they can anchor themselves to. It's their proof that they are on the right path.

Hypnosis works!

However, they don't understand that in hypnotic states, the mind is very suggestible, which is the purpose of hypnosis. What makes those people hooked is the intense emotional experiences and clarity of who they are and their own purpose with those suggested ideas that hypnosis can provide. Hypnosis is an unconscious method because you don't use your metacognition and yet ideas are installed in your mind, which is not to say it's bad. But those people don't understand that.

It's an intelligent trickery.

People believing in BS doesn't say much.

@Basman  the longer a cognitive bias is present the more embedded it becomes. The bias is feeding a belief founded on feeling and emotion, repetition & reward. And like you raised, it becomes a cognitive shortcut that never gets challenged. Shame is usually a key driver, but these sorts of thinking patterns also serve a sense of competence, belonging and control.

The shame factor comes into it when the belief is tied to an identity that makes being wrong feel being being 'less'. Which is a threat. And threat management is probably the dominant driver once identity is involved like this....

The issue with that is women’s actual desires.

They are attracted to the confident smooth fun guy, not the boring rich guy. They also want to be treated kindly, but will often find the kind guys behavior simping and lame.

Its a bit like imagine as a guy you had tons of girls you thought were ugly but they were trying to buy your affection with money and kindness, but the only girls you were attracted to were seeing a bunch of other guys and were mean to you. 

They’re also passive so they’re often at the whim of others direction. 

Attractive women sometimes have some of the most frustrating dating lives despite all the options.

In general women with attachment issues are attracted to the fun charismatic guy, or men with dark triad traits. It isn't as clear cut as put above. Goes for both sexes.

Securly attached women (or people) will be attracted to the 'boring' dude. Other types of women don't have a healthy idea of what love is, so mistake other traits for it and self filter out the best, healthiest men. The same goes for men also. 

If I am not mistaken approx 30% of the population has secure attachment. 

A lot of red pill and pickup relies on attraction techniques that only attract women with these trends of issues with attachment. It effectively filters out healthy women - leading to confirmation bias this is 'what women are attacted to'. 

In reality, it's not as simple or clear cut.

I generally agree with you here, but I won't say the healthy women are attracted to the "boring" dudes. They are attracted to dudes who make them feel safe and are mentally stable and usually those dudes tend to be kind of boring. But nobody likes boring people. It just happens that the boring ones are more stable and ok and women rather take that downside than choosing a dumbass pickup robot or unstable player.

That is so true that women with trauma self sabotage themselves, seen it so many times. Tragic.

Yea, I mean as a conscious hot woman, life is not great. because your needs are of a higher realm. You won't be satisfied just because some dude pays for your living. I think is just like any other cultish group think monolith. It is based in ideology and ego. But we have to be nuanced in perception. On some fronts they are right, especially the chill mature center-left liberals. Regarding taxation and economy the right is just a bunch of brainwashed selfish devils. They might not push your children to identify as zebras and submarines but they will keep you poor, stressed and miserable.

I should have worded it better - unhealthy types perceive those dudes as 'boring'. But they aren't, it's just that women with attachment issues cannot recognise healthy love so they dismiss it. 

This is also a heavy function of maturity in general. Young women... These days. I simply don't understand them. They are being brainwashed by extreme feminism in the algorithm just as men are falling into red pill....
