Early to say, but I guess this one will be the movie of the year for me:

Watch Send Help!
Absolutely don't watch the trailers!
Don't even try to get a hint what the movie is about!
I was hooked from start to finish.
I absolutely didn't know what genre or the direction the movie was going to go!!

For some reason, I want to watch The Land Before Time again - or Littlefoot, whatever it's called. I think I watched it as a kid, and it left a strong impression on me, if I recall. Might have been the series.

Hamnet is finally available for streaming!

I've been really looking forward to this movie, and it did not disappoint.

It's been a long time since a movie made me cry.

You don't need to read/see Hamlet before watching Hamnet, but familiarity with the Bard's work will make you appreciate this movie a million times more.

28 years later: The bone temple

In my opinion much improvement over 28 years later released last year but still not amazing. It's good to keep you entertained for a few hours but won't be making it into my top 2026 movies list this year.

Interesting fact: 28 years later released last year was filmed on the iPhone 15 pro max. They used up to 20 rigged phones for certain scenes.

I can't believe I'd never heard of Frailty before.

It's a well-acted, intriguing movie with a twist that might or might not work for you, but I found it to be great.

It's a tightly executed film that's definitely worth checking out.

Disturbing Behavior is an oddly overlooked film. Perhaps the unreleased Director's Cut would have been met with a warmer reception.

Here are a few more movies I’ve been watching lately:

  • Urban Legend (1998)
  • Breakdown (1997)
  • The Ninth Gate (1999) — Quite slow, yet oddly captivating.
  • Stir of Echoes (1999)
  • Session 9 (2001)

The Entity is a solid horror film that seems to have flown under the radar for many. It's inspired by the real-life case of Doris Bither, who claimed to have been sexually assaulted by an invisible force.

I recently watched two more underrated horror movies:

  • The Ruins (2008)
  • Frozen (2010)

I finally got around to watching "As Above, So Below," and I must say, it's a fantastic film.

It's a shame that so many found-footage movies fall short, but this one is exceptionally well-crafted.

I especially enjoyed its loose inspiration from Dante's Inferno. You could say it's like "National Treasure" or "Lara Croft" but set in hell.

If you see the movie, definitely check out the trivia section on IMDb afterward; it's quite insightful.
