Maybe reincarcation is an intermidiatery hoax, are you open to that? The import of liberation or enlightenment is to realize the absolute. And from absolute, anything other than absolute is a myth or non existent. Do you ever wonder, how come the excellent sages of the past in all tradition perfectly expressed and mapped out the knowledge of the Absolute. THE ABSOLUTE. About this absolute, almost all of them say the same thing. But when it comes to cosmology, reincarnations, karma and all the intermidiatery stories; every tradition has it's own pet theory. Why is there such inconsistency? They've perfectly mapped out the absolute but totally impotent when it comes to relative cosmology according to each other. Why is it the case? Could it be that this whole relative cosmology is a hoax? Could it be that they are only for mere intellectual consumption, or maybe at best a working hypothesis for unenlightened folks to inquire further about Reality? Another interesting thing is all these creation theories, states of universe, soul, reincarnation etc. Its not the liberated who is bothered or doubtful about them. Only unenlightened are so bothered and caught up with them. So the bottomline is, dont try to prove Maya. It is the principle of impossibility. You'll never succeed proving and establishing the unreal. Rather, investigate Maya and discover it to be non-existent in the first place. You can the never prove the snake in the rope. Rather, investigate the delusion properly and discover that the snake was never there. In other words, first find out the soul(self inquiry). If you succeed, you wont have to be bothered by neither soul nor reincarnation. Note: its a general comment. Pls dont take the 'you's personally and come back to bite my ass ? -

Reincarnation / rebirth is a hot topic for me. It's interesting because I've had a number of awakenings but none of them seemed to settle an answer to reincarnation. In researching about it, I haven't yet come across any evidence that was totally convincing. Next I'm looking into people who claim they have memories of past lives and people who have had NDEs. -

I think the question you really want to ask is not if Reincarnation is real, because everyone will say that you are God and all that jazz and so you will manifest forever as god. But I see how much everyone in this forum is explaining this subject in a way that is most of times too simplistic and almost Naïve. Just open yourself a serious book about Occultism (the science, not the hocus pocus) and analize for yourself how complex it is. Just because the true nature is formless, doesn't mean that the rest It's fake and that your conceptual self is worthless... Your conceptual Self contributes for next life conditions. -

@How to be wise yes some of the deepest realizations will reveal to you that it can't be denied. For example the realization of Oneness. Full consciousness of non-duality. All forms are God or consciousness - or you - exploring yourself from different perspectives. Also that you are the formless. You are Being or pure potential. You as pure potential will play out as every possibility that could ever possibly be. You are yourself through yourself as there is no where else to go. I know this has been said multiple times here already but when you become conscious of all of this then reincarnation can no longer be denied. -

@How to be wise You should not verify that reincarnation is real. Instead, you should verify if reincarnation is real. Beware of subtle words that may introduce bias in your inquiry process. There's only one way. Become aware of what you are. What dies? What is born? How come does Reality come to be? This may take decades, depending on your thirst. -
Is there some way I can directly verify this? Is there an enlightenment experience where you become conscious of reincarnation? Otherwise, surely this is just another belief.

Alright, Day 2: As I said I will write weekly ideally daily, yet that won't happen. Since this is not something I strive for. This will be another outlet. Yet, once a week is a good number to go for. I noticed since I used an App to block sites such as Actualized.Org, Facebook and other social media sites. I use my phone a lot. Also, I pretty much only visit Actualized.org sometimes I ask myself if I've become to centric around personal development. Especially, the theory part and being distracted by theory. Actions I took today: I studied approx for 4h only, which surprises me without classes. I did 3 study session each 45min for a project in Java and two study session for another project. I had only one class today. Yet, I slept really long since I am having setbacks when going back and forth between going home on weekends occasionally waking up in the morning. The guys above me are lunatics in the dorm 10-6 people in a single appartment and the guy lives with his girlfriend apparently. Last time I called the cops and informed myself about my rights since I am not dealing with their horseshit/bullshit/shit. I also, saw this as an opportunity to exercise assertiveness. Since according to the law I have to first talk with the person about it or talk with the landlord which I did both. I am so happy that this hysterical asshole who comes by is gone because I called the cops at 3 am, I'll do it again gladly. It is not okay to deprive others of sleep, because of noises. This already shows me that I am still materialistic I want to live in a house again, an apartment is quite annoying, there is just more silence. Sure this is relative, yet living so close with "strangers" is odd, maybe that is the reason many Germans live in houses regardless where they are at. The class today was okay, we learned more stuff about PHP and Web-based programming. I dislike the topic a lot though, yet I am also interested since it would provide myself a platform where I could offer something. Yet, there are so many tools and programming ? languages ? which create templates such as typo 3 and such IIRC. I am also quite hyped to meet my favorite prof ideally next week and getting a key to his "research" laboratory which is just a room full with android based stuff and health and fitness related technologies. For instance, Nvidia shield and programming that stuff, I mean he is self-thought and has a degree in arts and marketing, still he speaks 5 languages, he was in the hospital last week. Anything else that was insightful or that I wanted to post today? I wanted to post my survival list and I am thankful that Leo framed it that way, I always thought of it as living not survival. Survival can be fun! There is nothing just or fair about it is just survival Model is wrong: Survival at the micro level -> planning of planning -> adding of adding -> sleeping of sleeping -> routine before bed -> planning the whole week and checking in or planning each day -> keeping options open -> throwing in my two cents -> using the actualized.org forum Check how it adds your survival: Also, check that it is important to your survival. What is unique to your self-image What is that ghost Drama is survival in action If I want to relieve from that become a master of understanding survival Survival is suffering To stall out the clock Unique demands of your ghost: Who does it want? What threatens it Who does it want to be? Observe your self-surviving Macro survival strategies -> weekly planning Intellectual worldviews and ideas I am attached to What is survival of survival ? -> The process of survival ? What is my life is not survival? I can't really address every point otherwise I'd be spending an hour thinking about this minimum. Yet, I saw a guy yesterday in the cafeteria wearing a shirt with the nike logo upside down saying I can't do this. And it looked like a sarcastic smile or some sort of mustache that is sarcastic and it reminded me that humor definitely is fun! I truly miss extroverted people who can help me get out of my shell otherwise I am stuck with a constant conception of the concept of planning. I also looked into master programs today, and I was surprised that I still have a lot of options open. Also, I did not find much about the thing I want to dive deeper into. I am not sure if I want to dive into robotics without testing any of it. I took an A.I class on my voluntarily, the math behind how he explained it was not that difficult, yet it took some time to get back into it. Tomorrow I will go there again, even if I said that I would not go last journal entry and I even wrote a mail to him because I asked him for an exercise sheet I did not receive. There was more, yet I would need the necessary time or good questions to come up with it again. Here my resume for today. What I learned today and what I wanted to improve + changes. Do another 30-day challenge with the whiteboard and stick with that Currently, I want to do more deep work and thought conceptually about it and did some stuff, this is so important as programmer engineer etc. That I want different approaches, I definitely utilize the journalist approach mentioned in the book. Workout tomorrow, this habit is so solid, I am surprised going to the gym or jogging 5 times a week. Vitamin C and Iron are live savers in the morning I still suck with being more extroverted. Now I am gone! The 30 day challenge will be either cold showers, visualizations, or cbt. Since, I can't stick with these currently. There is more. So, another time another entry.

@lmfao it is most likely good to read about state-stages. Spiral dynamics is about value structutes less moral codes, but value codes. Which drive differences which is very similar, but less judgment based and more behaviour based imo. I can't personally distinguish the two very well. For e.g Imagine a shaman being fully enlightend (I did not read the Carlos Castaneda books but he was an antrhopologist being initiated into the modalities of being a shaman) He would still be attached to magical thinking the sun is the holy spirit of the reincarnation of god Z. Live in a tribe that is polyamorous and where multiple women take care of multiple infants, so one women in the tribe cares about 2-3, for e.g, infants till they are adults and can go hunting. Still it is one big family in a tribe sense. Reading about jhanas could help to have an idea of enlightenment experiences or technically, states of absorption independent of "structure" development in the moral or values line. Also, people have a gravity where they are centered according to wilber for instance your gravity can be turqouise and 50% of your responses will come from that stage 33% from a stage higher and one stage lower. Also a person/human/creature/ etc. has one "subset" gravity. Excuse my wording. So, you gravity circles around on stage, yet you draw back heavly from another which is your "go to" substage or the bread and butter substage lol. This is what I read and can recall. Correct me in case there is an error, im open for feedback in general.

@ajasatya right. Awareness is reality. And it's what you are. And awareness is made of nothing. Its formless. So whether formlessness creates the illusion of form thru limitation or remains in a state of formlessness doesn't matter. "Reincarnation" in itself is an illusion. All is One. -

Reincarnation is like running on a treadmill, "Yeah You are running... but You getting nowhere" -
ajasatya replied to WHO IS's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@WHO IS I am not a believer of individual reincarnation. As far as my insights have taken me, the Spirit reincarnates. But Spirit is the fabric of Reality itself, rather than an individuality. The Spirit does remember itself through the histories that we listen to. We know about Hitler, Beethoven etc. New scientists can continue the work of dead scientists and so on. -
(if we consider that there is reincarnation) : How can it be advanced if when you die you are reborn in a new body, while you forget all the memory from the previous one? Like reading a book that so you can forget about anything you read in the book after you finish it/close it. That's quite a curse! Here is a question/proof for You(Or anyone else who Is reading this!), Do You think You could write anything while you are in this incarnation for your future incarnation and recognize that you wrote it to yourself when you will be in your future incarnation? (if we consider that there is no reincarnation) : You live gain experiences-memories for it to end at the moment of death for eternity? Like deleting a file to 100% extent from a computer. If we wanted to think about forms of existence/life-forms which are much more advanced than being a human, we don't need to do much work, we just need to read about the different variety of Gods amongst different religions for starters for example. Heck, we could open a Marvel-Superhero Comic Book to get inspiration for higher forms of existence.

Many yogis and enlightened masters talk about reincarnation. If it is true, then suicide is definitely not the end to any suffering because you will be right back here to 'suffer' more. Having said that anything will not seem true for you until you have a direct experience of it, so you wouldn't know for sure if reincarnation is real. But is it worth taking that chance? Killing the body doesn't mean the end to the real you. Killing body will limit you from experiencing the physicality of existence but that doesn't mean you cease to exist. There is nowhere to go. If anyone is in a state of suicide, it is most probably because the mental structure has become a mess. There are ways to undo it. Real Yoga and meditation are few of the tools you can use

Gospel of Thomas, chapter 2, verses 1-4 Jesus says: (1) “The one who seeks should not cease seeking until he finds. (2) And when he finds, he will be dismayed. (3) And when he is dismayed, he will be astonished. (4) And he will be king over the All.” Gospel of Thomas Chapter 4, versus 1-3 Jesus says: (1) “The person old in his days will not hesitate to ask a child seven days old about the place of life, and he will live. (2) For many who are first will become last, (3) and they will become a single one.” *not sure about verse one, but 2 and three seem to be talking about reincarnation possibly Gospel of Thomas Chapter 5 versus 1-2 Jesus says: (1) “Come to know what is in front of you, and that which is hidden from you will become clear to you. (2) For there is nothing hidden that will not become manifest.” *talking about shadow work? Also reminds me of Leo's exercise of looking at your hands Gospel of Thomas Chapter 8 verses 1-4 (1) And he says: “The human being is like a sensible fisherman who cast his net into the sea and drew it up from the sea filled with little fish. (2) Among them the sensible fisherman found a large, fine fish. (3) He threw all the little fish back into the sea, (and) he chose the large fish effortlessly. (4) Whoever has ears to hear should hear.” *actually looking for an interpretation on this one. Any time he says 'whoever has ears...' it is an intentionally coded parable. Gospel of Thomas Chapter 10 Jesus says: “I have cast fire upon the world, and see, I am guarding it until it blazes.” *the stories of Jesus literally changed and shaped the world. He knew exactly what he was doing... Exodus 33:20 And He said, “Thou canst not see My face, for there shall no man see Me and live.” *it counts because technically I was raised to believe that the God who spoke to Moses was in fact the premanifest son of God (Jesus). Seems to be talking about ego death? To remember that nothing has ever lived? Somewhere in Exodus probably.... "Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?” And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ” The Gospel of Mary Magdalene 22) The Savior said, All nature, all formations, all creatures exist in and with one another, and they will be resolved again into their own roots. 23) For the nature of matter is resolved into the roots of its own nature alone. 30) Matter gave birth to a passion that has no equal, which proceeded from something contrary to nature. Then there arises a disturbance in its whole body. 31) That is why I said to you, Be of good courage, and if you are discouraged be encouraged in the presence of the different forms of nature. Matt.22 Verses 34 to 40 [36] Master, which is the great commandment in the law? [37] Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. [38] This is the first and great commandment. [39] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. * I like this one. A nondual type quote hidden in plain sight all this time. I still would like to know more about the mind/body /soul connection, or is this only a Christian anology for something? John 14:10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. * I was raised to believe that Jesus and the father and the holy spirit were one God, but three different manifestations of it. Jesus sometimes appears to be saying that we are all one God. Gospel of Thomas... Somewhere in there... (1) “I am the light that is over all. I am the All. The All came forth out of me. And to me the All has come.” (2) “Split a piece of wood — I am there. (3) Lift the stone, and you will find me there.” Gospel of Thomas Chapter 17 Jesus says: “I will give you what no eye has seen, and what no ear has heard, and what no hand has touched, and what has not occurred to the human mind.” Gospel of Thomas Chapter 18 (1) The disciples said to Jesus: “Tell us how our end will be.” (2) Jesus said: “Have you already discovered the beginning that you are now asking about the end? For where the beginning is, there the end will be too. (3) Blessed is he who will stand at the beginning. And he will know the end, and he will not taste death.” James 1:19 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. *I like this because it's overall great advice Luke 6:37 Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven Mark 8:34-35 Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Gospel, you will save it”. *this is certainly an allegory for something... John 14:27 I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. Somewhere in the new testament.... Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.” 57 Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and You have seen Abraham?” 58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” Then they took up stones to throw at Him; Matthew 6:24 No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. ~The Book of Thomas The Contender He who has known himself has…already achieved knowledge about the depth of all. ~Gospel of Thomas That which you have will save you if you bring it forth from yourselves. ~The Dialogue of the Savior Matthew: “Lord, when I speak…who listens? The Lord said: “It is the one who speaks who also listens, and it is the one who can see who also reveals.” *when two become one? Gospel of Thomas Chapter 50 Jesus says: (1) “If they say to you: ‘Where do you come from?’ (then) say to them: ‘We have come from the light, the place where the light has come into being by itself, has established [itself] and has appeared in their image.’ (2) If they say to you: ‘Is it you?’ (then) say: ‘We are his children, and we are the elect of the living Father.’ (3) If they ask you: ‘What is the sign of your Father among you?’ (then) say to them: ‘It is movement and repose.’” -

Basically all metaphysical questions of this kind -- e.g. about reincarnation, about the relationship of God to mortals, of the "I" to other individuals, etc. -- are all born out of the sense of separation, and the mental categories that come out of that sense of separation. But that sense of separation is not true. Therefore the mental categories that come out of it are not true. Therefore the questions that are based on those categories are not true. But of course this is just putting the matter in words -- and so this way of saying it is also, strictly speaking, not true. -
Truth Addict replied to 1liamo78's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@1liamo78 Reincarnation is originally a Hindu and a Buddhist belief. There was no world population back then. To me, it seems so silly. Nevertheless, that's not what is meant by reincarnation. You're treating the "soul" that is being reincarnated as a separate entity, while in their paradigm it's one and it's everywhere and everyone all at the same time. Which honestly, to me, is even more silly. But who knows? I could be wrong. -
In Leo's video the one before last on meaning of life, he talks about how we are reincarnated, and we (God) choose to divide itself again to be reborn, but how could it be true when we take into consideration the earths population, the population has been growing massively, so dosnt that show that it's not just the same souls being reborn over and over again but new "souls", if it was the same souls then the population wouldn't be caused by Eccononic and political conditions etc?

the Thing actually was our personality is just an illusion. That illusion is the boarder between you an me, character between dreams. In order to be me, I should forget to be anyone else or something else. Hitting from the point of view of reincarnation, you have been reincarnated for the infinite times. But hey, we can never understand Reincarnation because it is directly point to no-self. -

In the book "More than a life" it is written how Sadhguru's past life version of him consciously planned to return back as a human being to complete his mission. Eventhough he didn't do it to prove reincarnation it seems like its possible if its true. I guess returning to complete a mission is a better reason than to prove a point about reincarnation itself. I also saw in a video eventhough I am not sure if it's authentic, that he had planned it precisely to the very womb to which he will be born in his current life so that his mission could be completed -
Leo Gura replied to legendary's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Seems like it. Tons of people report having done so. Actually the "soul" is guiding your whole life. If you want to think of it that way. It is your highest self. It's the thing which compels you to pursue spirituality and reunite with God. Without that you'd never awaken. Which is why most people never awaken: their souls are too crude and unevolved. At least that's the theory if you want to buy into reincarnation. One of the most compelling reasons for buying into reincarnation is that it explains why people have such different inclinations and attunement for spiritual work. This cannot be explained through genetics or upbringing alone. It's obvious that some people are MUCH more spiritually attuned than others from birth. The best explanation for this is past lives. The souls of the majority of mankind are quiet crude. Which explains why mankind is in such a big mess. We are NOT all the same. If you've ever wondered why you don't fit in and how other people could be so dull, materialistic, and shallow, well, here's your answer. Most folks need to live through many more lifetimes before they learn their lesson. One lifetime is just not enough. Consider the possibility that the reason you're able to do this work at all is because you've already lived through 300 lifetimes of total barbarism and stupidity. Imagine if you were Stalin in a past life. LOL. -
Leo Gura replied to legendary's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Except there is a common through-line between dreams. Your psyche is uniquely your psyche. Dreams ARE connected to your psyche. You often have repeating dreams and you dream about stuff which is related to your life experiences, although often in very loose ways. You work stuff out in your dreams. This is actually directly analogous to how reincarnation could work. There is a deeper structure which unifies all your lifetimes. This structure would be called the soul. It is like the mothership which sends down many probes to a new planet. Destruction of any probe does not harm the mothership. The mothership collects all the lessons of each dead probe and visits many different planets. The mothership itself could of course also be destroyed but that's another matter. The mothership is far more conscious and capable than any of its probes. -

I left a note which I recently found. It said, “there’s no reincarnation”. Not sure what to make of it. -
Leo Gura replied to legendary's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
The problem with the "leaving a note" approach is that if you die and you have a choice to reincarnate as whatever you want, your perspective will be so much broader at that point after death that you will not care about honoring any note you left behind. You might reincarnate on some other planet in some other universe as some non-human being. Reincarnating just for the sake of demonstrating reincarnation to other humans is a really silly game. That is not the purpose of reincarnation. -
A very tricky subject indeed.
