  1. @Psyche_92 @BjarkeT @Psyche_92 @VioletFlame @okulele @ivory @Mu_ @BjarkeT @Psyche_92@Leo Gura Big thanks for the advice everyone! @okulele Ah yeah that makes sense. @VioletFlame That's a really great way of putting it! @Leo Gura Yeah I guess I just have to think and journal about it for a while.
  2. I've just finished the "finding your life purpose" section in the Life Purpose Course and the life purpose statement I came up with was "expressing the beauty of life through music". But in all honestly it's kind of a selfish life purpose. I only want to do it because I really enjoy expressing myself through music. Should I change it to something that's more centered around benefiting other people?
  3. I've been reading a few articles on this "a book every week" idea. I like the idea but I'm not sure how you could retain all that information. I would of thought it would be more beneficial to read a book a month and really try to retain the information and implement it in your life. What do you guys think?
  4. I always loved this example regarding music. "To play fast you must learn slow"
  5. INFP for the win
  6. @Vipassana That's great advice. Thanks Vipassana!
  7. @denydritz Thanks for the advice. Sorry I should of been more clear when I wrote that post. I didn’t mean I’d have no time for spiritual growth. I’d still be able to dedicate 2-3 hours on it. I’d just couldn’t go hard on both. I couldn’t do let’s say 5-6 hours a day. And I was conflicted on which to go hard on first. At the moment I’m leaning towards life purpose. Also yeah you’re right about not seeing spiritual growth as a goal. That’s just my monkey mind trying to get in the way 😝
  8. I have a band in which I try to mix personal development concepts with music. This is a rock song which I based of Joseph Campbell's idea of the heros journey. Hope you like it
  9. I'm conflicted on what to do. I really want to get my life purpose down and I'm in the lucky position in which my life purpose (involves music performance) is directly linked to what I'm doing in collage. I've discovered that I'm not going to have the time to pursue my life purpose and making it a profitable while also doing Enlightenment/Spiritual work at the same time. My original idea was to focus mostly on developing my life purpose and escaping wage slavery first and then moving more towards spiritual work but that would mean I wouldn't have time to pursue stuff like yoga and self-inquiry for a least 3 years. I'm questioning if that's a wise choice or not. Would love to hear your guys opinions on the matter! Also disclaimer I'd still be able to have a 1 hour reading and mediation habit while pursing my life purpose. I just wouldn't have time to do Self Inquiry, Meditation and Yoga regularly.
  10. @Leo Gura How would you recommend planning it out?
  11. Sound like a great idea!
  12. @AlwaysBeNice @Girzo @snowleopard @Azrael @Nahm @JustinS @AleksM @Leo Gura Thanks for all the advice guys!
  13. I want to have the most fulfilling life possible. But I don't have a truly genuine interest in Truth with a capital T. Does anyone have any advice?
