  1. Interpretations (will be built over the week)

    1. The boy stood up and asked like 3 times if he could Hug the Dalai Lama. The Dalai Lama was surprised but said yes once it was translated to him. The room is full of a bunch of people. The boy goes up and hugs the Lama. They hug and kiss. The room laughs and claps. It's all rather platonic but loving. Like a parent kissing their child they share moment of platonic affection. The Dali Lama was playing the room, trying to get people to laugh, smile and feel the love. The boy was smiling. The Buddha wanted to say "Eat my tongue" jokingly but said "suck my tongue' through poor translation. They touched heads and stuck their tongues out at each-other. both their chins tucked into their necks, foreheads forward. This is filmed during a live event a month ago.

3 months later someone re-uploads the clip with no context and it gets spread around the world as an outrage.

  2. If the Dali Lama did that to you you would be uncomfortable and probably upset. Even as someone older it’s still weird if the Dali Lama asks you to suck his tongue? Like what?

So strange. My mind is still ambiguous about what I think about it. For those of you who also are working on understanding how your mind interprets reality this should be fun.

Next post I will list 10 possible interpretations of this situation.

  3. We're playin' those mind games together
    Pushin' the barriers, plantin' seeds
    Playin' the mind guerrilla
Chantin' the mantra, peace on earth

We all been playin' those mind games forever
Some kinda druid dude liftin' the veil
    Doin' the mind guerrilla
Some call it magic, the search for the grail

    Love is the answer
And you know that for sure
    Love is a flower
You gotta let it, you gotta let it grow

So keep on playin' those mind games together
Faith in the future, outta the now
You just can't beat on those mind guerrillas
Absolute elsewhere in the stones of your mind

Yeah, we're playin' those mind games forever
Projectin' our images in space and in time

    Yes is the answer
And you know that for sure
    Yes is surrender
You gotta let it, you gotta let it go

So keep on playin' those mind games together
Doin' the ritual dance in the sun
    Millions of mind guerrillas
Puttin' their soul power to the karmic wheel

Keep on playin' those mind games forever
Raisin' the spirit of peace and love

    Love
I want you to make love, not war
I know you've heard it before

  4. This is actually a really complicated subject and I think very few see it clearly. It’s no where near as cut and dry as “not giving a particular group equal rights”. The whole trans phenomenon is so complicated and tricky to grasp it as it’s core. If you are right or left you won’t be able to see it. If you are pro trans or against trans you can’t see it.

You have to be willing to observe various perspectives and interpretations of the phenomenon, it’s history, it’s risks, it’s pros and cons, and be honest about the dangers that the phenomenon could cause, or if there are benefits.

You have to stop being scared of being labelled a transphobe. If that’s something you fear your not gonna be able to see the issues clearly. You have to stop being scared of being seen as pro trans as that impedes your ability to see the problem clearly.

Trans issues don’t just affect trans people but families, parents, men, women, and children. We all share this world and it’s important we see clearly what is happening.

It’s a hard thing to grok because you have to be willing to see the issue through all the parties involved.

There is also bad epistemology, science, psychology and various other cultural factors that are going into play with the trans phenomenon.

Also what is happening in post secondary education, and the bullying and attacking of anyone who questions trans idealogy I think is a problem.

This issue requires a deep willing to observe over long periods of time, checking your biases and allowing recontextualization to happen over time.

  5. @DrugsBunny oh, I don’t know how to respond to you. I think I disagree with you on the transphobe thing, but I get where you are coming from.

Try not to boil everyone on the forum as bad and dumb. It’s not true. Trans issues matter to me. Doesn’t mean to me, everything trans is good. Even in the Trans community there are problems they are trying to figure out and resolve. Trans is a very complicated issue. I think you are blinded by your own ideology and don't even really see the real issues facing Trans people.  Doesn't mean I have to agree with someone else's ideas or ideologies. Just because I don't think the Buddha was the greatest teacher of all time doesn't mean I hate Buddhists. Same thing goes with Trans issues. I won’t be bullied or gaslit into an ideology. That’s what a lot of pro trans ideologues love to do…. Bully everyone until they bow to your world view. Not gonna happen. For me, I have to forum my OWN opinion on a subject, even if that means I get bullied by the likes of you.

I bet, whenever anything happens with any “public figure” you’ll get a mixture of responses. So, sort of a given.

    Hope you are well..
