  1. Thanks you for replies & help @kerk@Esoteric@GreenWoods

I've done more grounding activities (gym, dancing, yoga etc) and am no longer experiencing panic during kriya, only in other times. So that's good!

Haven't tried shamanic breathing but I've been to holotropic breathwork sessions. Last time I vomited, mostly physical stuff. It's interesting and frustrating for I don't experience any panic or fear when doing breathwork: how to get to the root then? Still, afterwards, the feeling of terror has moved from my lower abdomen area to chest. I don't know..

  2. I've been starting to experience panic-like feelings when doing pranayama (SantataGamana's, focus on 3rd eye). It intensifies on out-breath: pressure on chest and lightness on head. I'm not pushing the breath but doing pranayama as gently as possible.

What to do now? Will I damage myself if I continue, because people say kriya shouldn't feel bad. Also, I have a history of having anxiety and panic attacks.

Short-range non-duality. When I was sitting on the chair and hugging a huge pillow,  it took a mental effort to distinguish myself from the pillow or chair. There was literally no difference between the pillow and my arms

Second time today I CRY for the description of non-dual experience. Lol I don't know why! It's just so beautiful.

Sounds like a great trip :P

  4. @Cocolove If you need to gasp air, do shorter breaths. You shouldn't have the need to gasp air. The breath will eventually get longer.

@herghly I wouldn't worry about it, it will balance out if it needs to. Just remember to breathe everything out when you exhale. I'm doing pranayama from SantataGamana's book and have no need to count how long my breath lasts, because due course it will be fine.

  5. @Space Yes indeed kriyas are not the point. I will absolutely start kriya yoga. But no idea how long should keep letting my body do its thing before I move into kriya yoga.. but that's most likely something nobody could tell.

Edit: if there's anyone here who has experienced these movements and just let them happen: what happens after? How long did they last? Or maybe these are just releases of energy leading to no specific thing.

  6. @Leo Gura Yeah, I will let these movements unfold. Thanks Leo :)

@Cocolove I would love to do bioenergetic therapy with a professional. Unfortunately I would have to travel like 500km to a nearby therapist. Do you know if I can do it myself?

@Space I have noticed the same thing, lol :D I know the point of kriyas but was just thinking that why would I do kriya yoga if these kriyas happen spontaneously.

  7. Hi!!

So, I've been doing breath witnessing meditation and recently I have been having these spontaneous movements. First it was my head shaking and now my body bounces from side to side in a snake-like manner, that's how I can best describe it.

My purpose was to move to practice kriya yoga, but now I don't know.. Should I sit and let these automatic kriyas happen or should I start kriya yoga routine? It's kind of hard to fous on these movements, my mind starts to wander a lot.

I did e-mail one kriya yoga author about my issue but would like to hear your opinions as well!

  8. About a few years ago I fell and my leg twisted outwards which injured my knee (right side). It hurt a few weeks really much, I went to doctor, they took pictures and all but didn't find any physical cause. Now, if I sit cross legged the inner side of my right knee starts hurting and the pain continues for days afterwards (sometimes the pain comes even without sitting cross legged, but more mildly). It's like tearing some tissue there apart, that's how it feels. Physician told me to strenghten my quadriceps and also do stretching. I also do ashtanga yoga 1-2x per week.

Do you have any suggestions how to heal my knee? It's weird to me because there was no physical cause to be found... I'm open to all kinds of suggestions, acupuncture, massage, special stretches etc.? :) Also I wonder if this has some mental/spiritual basis to it because all my physical problems are on the right side!
