Look at your own beliefs and realise this belief stems from relative ideas about reality, that you hold, that you haven't confirmed.

You do not know if souls are real and if karma is real. What if the kids that were to be born from you, are born somewhere else? Do you actually KNOW the kids only come into existence because of you? What if you are a mode for them to enter the world, not their creator?

I am presenting to you an alternate way of looking at bearing children, so you may realise how biased you are and many are regarding this.

 

If relatively concious people like us decide to be irresponsible and not bear children, the only people bearing children will be people who don't deserve to, who are not worthy of raising concious children for the future. You and I will doom the future to be even worse, if we don't raise responsible and concious children.

If I am to be completely frank with you, reasoning that the world is too cruel for your children is not mercy upon your children but shows your own incompetency in raising a child that will be able to persist, tolerate and ultimately change this world.

It's your duty to bear concious children IF you want the human society to develop in any way.

If you do not feel confident in able to raise children, I applaud and commend you for taking the step of not having kids, but do not cloud your incompetence as some sort of mercy upon your children. The only mercy then on your children, would be from your own parenting.

I would never want to bring a child into this world and let them have to experience all the pain and suffering people have to in this world.

4. Everytime you look on the news you see countless tragedies literally everyday of another person being murdered, killed in an accident, or some other tragedy happening literally everyday. 

5. The fact that babies, teenagers and other people die young and tragic and the world still goes on no matter what. 

6. The fact that everyone's life is tragedy and everyone goes through something traumatic that will change their lives forever. 

I truly never want to have kids because I see how bad and awful the world is. The fact is you truly are just bringing someone into a horrible world and it doesn't matter what happens to them because life will go on with any one person no matter what. 

 

I partly agree. It's another factor as to why most westernized secular/atheist countries like the UK, EU, Russia, USA, Japan, South Korea and a few more are decreasing in birthrates, another consequence of too much feminism, capitalism, multiculturalism and rushed democracy.

You're missing my point me not wanting to have children has nothing to do with me not feeling confident in raising them. 

It has do the fact that the world is so horrible it doesn't matter how much you try to protect and save them they will go through a lot of pain and suffering because that is just how life is.

It has nothing to do with me not feeling confident in raising them it has to do with the fact that the world is so bad things like what I mentioned in my original post could happen to them.

In the mental health counseling world, we call this a cognitive distortion, negativity bias, or self-fulfilling prophecy. I doubt it is the whole truth. OP is leaving out love, which is the ultimate truth. OP is choosing fear and not love and it isn’t his fault per se.
