Posted July 16 @Sucuk Ekmek I see a shoreline, receding to a vanishing point. Waves meeting the land, as the sunset illuminates two craggy outcrops as they meet the sea. I do not know if this is the subject - if it is, you captured it well! The colours of the sunset replicating on the rocks are exactly how light behaves. If it is not the subject - it doesn't matter, as it brings forth concepts of beauty, regardless Deal with the issue now, on your terms, in your control. Or the issue will deal with you, in ways you won't appreciate, and cannot control.

Posted July 17 @Princess Arabia This is really good - hands are one of the most difficult things to render! I start with cylinders and try to link them up. Feet are equally as troublesome for me Deal with the issue now, on your terms, in your control. Or the issue will deal with you, in ways you won't appreciate, and cannot control. Feet are equally as troublesome for me As long as I'm looking at a picture, I can do it easily; but from my head, it's a bit more challenging. I googled that hand and drew it from there. I draw best when I'm looking at the thing I'm drawing. Your profile Pic is a good one to draw. What you know leaves what you don't know and what you don't know is all there is. Posted July 17 @Princess Arabia Yes this is actually a skill only masters have, in general. All my skill has come from endless copies, repetition. I learn the form. Then from my mind I can create. However, most artist still use reference material as a base. Its a skill born of repetition - most things are really. It's just that most people don't stick with problems long enough. All the greats really stuck with problems and didn't let them go. Always good to remember - drawing from reference is still artistic creation. It's your direct, personal interpretation of what you are perceiving. Regardless of the source. I will add on I had a genetic gift for art and motor skill from my grandfather. But repetition is key. Without execution talent means zero. Here's another one - not finished. Peregrine falcon - the fastest creature on earth. I am going to collage this over images of all different bird feathers in unusual configurations: Deal with the issue now, on your terms, in your control. Posted July 19 @Sucuk Ekmek I really like your stuff my man - in particular your use of colour. I sense practice and experience combined with a keen eye for observation. It takes skill to render an image without lots of BLACK for shade. Which, to me, is a novice mistake Deal with the issue now, on your terms, in your control. Posted July 24 I have mixed feelings for this one. Thanks Natasha, each time I am trying to see what is going on with colors. Again, the colour use is expert - I think you might be feeling some consternation regarding the lower right area. 2 things stand out to me there - the perspective might be a bit out of cohesion with the vanishing point of the render. And it is slightly busy - but not terribly so. A touch more dark tones that are out of sequence with the rest of the image. Almost like it doesn't quite marry up to the path, farmhouse and sky. Very hard to say with this one Absolutely no negativity meant with the above - just my observations based on training <3 Deal with the issue now, on your terms, in your control. I like the elegance of Dutch painters, the perspective of Cézanne, the bold and striking strokes of Richard Schmid, and alla prima is the way to go for me. Perhaps they don't quite marry up to the path, but I am trying. You are a great critic! Forum is lucky to have your trained eye and personality.
