Robert F. Kennedy Jr. running for POTUS

The drug companies sell other drugs with liability.  The reason vaccines are exempt is because powerful lobbyists got the laws changed.   Exempting vaccines from liability gives them an incentive to make unnecessary vaccines rather than useful medicines in order to make a profit.  This is a profit incentive which isn’t good for the public.  And given that there is no compensation for someone injured, it then becomes everyone’s moral right to make their own decision to take or not take the vaccine in order to protect themselves.

Again this doesn't tell you or anyone anything about the safetiness or efficacy.

For you to know how safety or effective it is , you need to look at the studies.

What does "unnecessary vaccine" even means here? Why would they spend billions of dollars to make a vaccine that is unnecessary?

@Leo Gura @Hardkill

I didn't know that, thanks. I guess my info was wrong.

One of the biggest obstacles for me trying to understand this stuff objectively is the overwhelming amount of contradicting statistics and information on the exact same world events. I mean we have graphs and stats here to support one perspective - that vaccines are ineffective against covid, and in my mind that completely makes sense - because we used them and they didn't really "stop" covid at all. But then from the other perspective, we have stats that show they helped, and how much worse it would've been if we didn't take them. And that makes total sense to me... So Idk. This shit is a nightmare to try to understand and make sense of! But I will keep at it. Thank you for your replies

No problem.

Yeah, don't give the right-wing media any satisfaction by giving even an hour or a day of your time to listening to them or reading up on any of their articles or blogs or what have you. They constantly distort every possible fact and every kind of logic as part of their whole agenda, which is to only appeal to people by running on fear, hatred, and nationalism. Ever since the 90s, they have deliberately continually divided the entire country and have intentionally contributed to the increasing distrust in our country's institutions. They've always been framing everything that goes on in America as us vs. them including: liberals are mentally ill and conservatives are normal, Democrats are evil entitled socialists and Republicans are innocent hardworking capitalist, regulation of the economy is bad vs. free-market enterprise is good, public schools are terrible and private schools are great, science/medical/public health officials corrupt and christian religious leaders honest, urban areas are disgusting and full of crime whereas rural areas are clean and orderly, evangelicals/fundamentalists righteous and people of other christian denominations or other religions as sinful, white Americans as superior and every other person of every other race/ethnicity as inferior, poor people deserve no respect or sympathy while rich people should be praised, USA the best nation in the world and every other nation in the world are "shithole" countries, etc., etc., etc.

I don't think you can sue a Big Pharma company if you have a side effect reaction to Tylenol. If it worked like that all the companies would be out of biz.

But also you aren’t bullied to take Tylenol or lose your job for not taking it.  You aren’t called a Tylenol denier for exercising your free will to protect your body.

you use so much morally loaded words like "This fact speaks louder than distracting words"  and " for exercising your free will to protect your body" like there is someone malicious trying to catch you.

Do you think the state should never ever have the power to hardcore motivate people to take some kind of action (in the context of trying to prevent certain diseases from escalating to an unmanagable level or escalating to a level where there is a ton of health and material damage is caused)?

But also you are carrying a virus that can kill millions of people.

It's called society. It comes with responsibilities.

@Recursoinominado To be fair Joe Rogan offered Peter Hotez to go on his show or another long-form show against RFK to debate and Peter Hotez seems to have rejected the offer.  I believe Jon Stewart even joined in on the tweet to encourage a debate.

Peter Hotez is right, putting them in the same level to "debate" is an insult.

Peter Hotez is not a good debater and he doesn't even know how to deal with a person like RFK. You need plenty of debate and rhetorical skills to be able to deal with all the steamrolling and gish-galloping that some of these guys do.

RFK can spit out a bunch of wrong claims confidently, without having anything at stake at all (because he is not a doctor). On the other side Peter has everything to lose if he can't properly debunk each and every one of RFK's claims.

There are very smart doctors out there who have good debate skills who can represent Hotez side reallly well, so if Joe actually cares about the truth proposition of the debate rather than humiliating Hotez, then he would accept the offer of another doctor who actual ly has good debate skills.

@Recursoinominado @zurew Joe also mentioned that Peter could have someone else more equip to debate.

Glenn Greenwald makes some good points. Glen is a fair actor and pushed hard against RFK on his stance with Isreal and Palestine.

@Tanz Glenn is a fool.

"Debating" with fools that aren't searching for truth (by definition) is a fools game.

@Recursoinominado He seems like a legitimate journalist. Are you calling him a fool because you don't agree with the stuff he covers?

He is, but he has a lot of foolish takes on politics.

The first 2 minutes of his videos tells everything you need to know about what he thinks of politcs, vaccines and "censorship".

Calling RFK Jr. a "serious guy" is a joke if you are a little bit informed.

Watch the video i posted and see how most of his takes are utterly bullshit.

@Recursoinominado I personally believe that Hotez believes in everything he thinks and says as RFK does too.

Even if you don't agree with RFK stance on vaccines. It's undeniable that chemicals laced in plants is not safe which Kennedy brings up.

Glenn Greenwald has really lost it since Trump.

Obviously pollution is a bad problem. The question is what to do about it.

Kennedy said in his interview that he is going to make “saving the middle class” the theme of his campaign and not vaccines.   When he gets into power he will focus on the issue of regulatory capture, so that regulatory agencies work for the public interest and not the industries they are regulating.   This is why Big Pharma and environmental polluters hate Kennedy.  We are all living in a toxic soup and it is affecting the younger generations.  He will also end forever wars and kick out the neocons who are bankrupting America and ruining its reputation.  We will cooperate economically with China to spread prosperty and not bombs.  That is why the military industrial complex hate him.  Look at how the corporate media treat Kennedy and ask yourself why.  Whose interests are they serving?

That's NOT why. They treat him like a lunatic because he is one.

All you RFK Jr lovers need to listen to this:

When Jake Tapper refuses to interview you, there's something really wrong with you.

@Leo Gura Personally I prefer Dr. Cornel West but if I had to choose between Trump, Biden, Williamson, and RFK, I would choose RFK....
If Trump loses to any of them except RFK, the people on the right are going to go crazy and protest.  If some crazy miraculous reason Trump pulls off a win, the people on the left are going to go crazy.  RFK and especially if Dr. West wins thru the green party, the nation will be less divided.

It's not like we will get people like Rupert Spira or Adyashanti running for president.  The world isn't ready for real spiritual leaders and countries would not be able to function without having to be cruel.
People can be "spiritual" because there are men willing to do cruel things to people, other animals, and the planet.  Viciousness is outsourced to the bold so we can live in harmony... this is the biggest shadow the left can't acknowledge.
