The path of "god-realization" seems like a waste of time.

If time doesn't really exist, is it something that can even be wasted? Just asking for a friend....that may not exist either.

You could say all dreams are empty, but then why did you create them? Lucid dreaming is the highest adventure, but still it is only a dream.

Just because God loves you doesn't mean it is going to shape the cosmos to suit you. God loves you so much that it will shape you to suit the cosmos.

Did I say that? Or did you imagine me saying it? Why would you create someone saying it?

Why would God dream a reality of humans dreaming themselves lucid dreaming?

When someone awakens from sleep they aren't dreaming anymore so when one awakens into God realization then all the layers of dreams disappear.

If one perceives any of the dreams then one's awakening has yet to be fully realized.

Or this all could be just your imagination.

But this is also your statement within the dream.. everything there is is the dream. Even when you awaken to your infinite nature you won’t leave the finite dream.. so at least dream consciously.. or not. Use your freedom wisely… or not.??‍♂️

God experiences nothing in ultimate reality, but it experiences everything in creation. The cosmos is a sequence of experiences, evolving toward self-realization, which is the most sublime state within the dream. It is the paradoxical limbo moment which is the pinnacle, when the eyes of God flutter open, but the dream has not entirely faded. The seer and the seen dissolve into the singularity that is God.

Or this all could be just your imagination.

What else could this be? xD

@Leo Gura It's easy to say everything is a dream but how many of us have transcended this?

I don't fear what comes after death at all, I know what happens, but the journey there can be full of suffering. That I do still have fear about.

How do you know the path of "god-realization" is both:

  1. True
  2. Not a waste of time

It's even worse than a waste of time: it's the ultimate narcissistic pursuit. There are much better things you can do than trying to realize that you are God.

Damn. Haven't seen a bait as good as this one in a really long time.

It's not a bait.

Consider the following pursuits:

  • Becoming mindful
  • Becoming a good human being
  • Becoming psychologically whole
  • Becoming wise and loving
  • Becoming a sane and benevolent presence
  • Becoming a great communicator
  • Becoming a powerful creator
  • Becoming an adult

None of that is guaranteed by God-Realization. Spiritual people, especially those that rely on psychedelics, take this whole "I am God" nonsense way too seriously. So you are God. Now what?

What's meaningful, in the end, is what we value in each moment. Are you going to embody, moment to moment, the enlightened values of love, wisdom, and compassion? That's what it comes down to.

@Loveeee Your posts are never a waste of time. I appreciate them!

Thanks ! But I'm curious, if you don't realize you're God what do you realize ?

Don't you realize it's all a dream ? Don't you realize the divinity of it and that you are it ?

Granted there are varying degrees of consciousness, at the highest ones you can communicate with your self and alter reality like in a dream, you maybe don't realize how divine you are but surely to some extent

If not that's ok too, all part of the plan

If you had fully awakened to what is being called 'god-realization' then all the layers of 'finite dreams' disappear just like when one awakens from sleeping their sleep dreams disappear, What some may call 'god-realization', it is observing 'what is' without it being the 'dream'. Until one realizes it, this perception cannot be described because it is ineffable.

Except people then try to describe the indescribable going on for many words on concepts of paradigms blah blah. They have their description of their 'truth' which ironically is nearly always borrowed from people they read or heard and the cultural conditioning. So primed by others then imagined in their own spiraling story about 'what is'.

Ultimately we are simply being aware even if there is no story, being aware just is with or without story.

@The Blade A mystical experience is what required. That is Leo's department. PM him and he'll build you the proper way to do it based on your personal path.

This "I am God" "nonsense" is what You ARE. Sounds like You just haven't realized You are God if You treat it that way.

Now You can do anything!

When You realize You are God You are so free, so whole, there is such clarity and fearlessness that You can pursue anything You want without inhibition.

And any of this is "guaranteed" by what, exactly?

God-realization enchances all of these points. ALL OF THEM. I can speak from experience. In fact with many of these pursuits God-realization (or awakening in general) is the surest way to bring You there.

Mindfulness, goodness, wholeness, wisdom, love, benevolence, creativity, communication and maturity are all profoundly magnified by realizing what You truly are.

No one disagrees with the importance of embodiment. You can embody the recognition that You are God and live from that place, aligned with the highest values. YOUR values. It'll be heaven on earth.

In my experience, this is not true. After the experience of the infinite, your psyche, with its particular hang-ups and fears, will resurface to be reexamined and reformed. I wish you could stay fearless forever, but, alas, it doesn't work that way. If you want to become fearless, you need to engage with life itself, for it is the crucible of life that shapes and transforms the psyche, not awakening experiences on the cushion.

It's not guaranteed by anything. But intention and attention are required, if it is ever to become a reality.

God-Realization, especially the way it's taught here, can also thwart the realization of these points. It can turn you into a narcissistic devil.

Awakening doesn't resolve your worldly problems because God is transcendent.  But it will give you a higher understanding.  With that you can rise above any of your worldly problems should you so choose.   But it will not ease the slow deterioration of the mortal body or earn you more money to ease your survival.  You have to do that on your own.

1) Of course You aren't always in a high state. Yeah, so? Even if You fall back, You still retain some (depends on You how much) of the wisdom, clarity and all the good stuff from the period in which You were in a high state.

As the saying goes, a mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions. Again, that doesn't mean You're not gonna fall back to "sleep". But something always changes.

I can say many things from experience. One example is that after a profound awakening over 3 weeks ago all of my addictions have been eradicated. I'm controlled much MUCH less by desire. This You will interesting, no-fap enthusiast: now I have almost no need to masturbate, simply because I'm not enchanted by desire. It's totally effortless to do no fap. But I still masturbate once a week out of "necessity", because I feel like my body needs to let it out so to say. Not to porn - I've cut it out completely.

I didn't put any deliberate effort into quitting porn. Awakening/God-realization solved the "problem" for me (I didn't even consider it a problem, I was okay with it). And I'm not saying the addictions will NEVER come back, but You know, they haven't been there for almost a month and that's SOMETHING! That's a step! I have an "experience" which I won't ever forget, it's always gonna stay with me to a degree.

2) I didn't mean COMPLETELY fearless. In my view that's impossible (because fear goes to infinity). I meant more fearless, enough that You can feel truly free and satisfied in life.

3) No one disagrees with the importance of engagement with life. You can know You are God and handle relationship "issues", doing the dishes, learning a new skill, whatever. You will learn about life from everything. I found out how beautiful doing the daily chores is because of awakening.

I mean, yeah, like with any pursuit.

Though awakening/God-realization still helps with these, I would suggest.

You're talking about egotism and misapplying human teachings, not God-realization itself.

Btw, I don't consider myself awake. And I don't recognize Myself right now.

@Loveeee I have had many moments of realizing I am God. But I often fall back into the dream.  I use to judge this as negative, but now I see it as part of the expansion of consciousness.
