Why did god create atheism

Is it a necessary step in the spiral or did he just create it just because?

Why ask abstract and closed questions?

Seems unnecessary and based on false presumptions. First become conscious of what you are.

Get busy contemplating.

Good luck!

1) Reality wasn't created at some point in the past, Reality IS

2) What does the spiral have to do with this

3) Why did God create theism?

Would you say that a child who has never heard of the concept of God is an “Atheist”?

But then someone religious tells this child about God.  Would you agree that this child should now blindly accept this belief in God without doing the necessary reading, research, introspection to come to its own conclusion of a God?

An atheist is simply someone who refuses to accept what he / she is told about God, until they have some proof or has done the necessary introspective work to come to a conclusion of their own. However most people who label themselves as atheists will probably not do the work and will choose to remain atheists unless something about their life situation forces them to questions their beliefs.

A belief in god is the same as any other belief.

It's an image in your head which you've invested a lot of energy into.

In phenomenal reality, everything that can be created will be created. All beliefs are inherently false, whether theistic or atheistic. At best, they can feebly point to truth but they are not truth. There is only direct realization of ultimate reality which is beyond time, space, and the cosmos.

Just because God loves you doesn't mean it is going to shape the cosmos to suit you. God loves you so much that it will shape you to suit the cosmos.

There is no "why" to reality. Why should there be?

God created free will, so God created the possibility to believe or not believe in him.

I disagree with the fundamental premise of the atheists that belief in God is intellectual in nature.  It may be all that atheists are capable of, but many people are capable of intuiting the existence of God.

I would say for the belief in god to exist the non belief in god has to exist. Even if you don't beleive in it it will still exist just as nothing.

Sometimes God wants to forget it's God.
Sometimes God wants to deny it's own nature.
Sometimes God just wants to partake in the simplicity of a finite life for once.
God is equal parts chaos and order. Two sides of the same coin.
You should expect to find every possible type of worldview, this and that, this and not this, etc.
Everything exists. Welcome to Infinity. You never left.

To expound more using the spiral dynamics model; Stage orange values rationality, logic, empiricism, scientific evidence. Stage orange is actually an advancement up from stage blue, which believes in God on blind faith. The problem with blind faith is you're not actually searching for evidence of God in your direct experience; something an individual in stage orange is actively seeking; only not in their direct experience but outside of themselves, towards authority figures like popular philosophers and science, rather than trusting themselves enough to look for the answers within, thus not finding. Stage orange is quite afraid of their own psyche and they don't seem to realize it. Once the culture has driven them to the typical cynical nihilistic schtick they put up to justify for not having an answer to Love; they will enter into a dark night of the soul and emerge on the other side eventually in stage green; in which nothing matters but Love.

Everyone on the spiral has some lesson to teach to everyone else on the spiral. Stage orange teaches stage blue to value evidence. Stage orange teaches stage green and stage yellow how to have compassion for those with a closed heart.

This is what I was thinking also but I couldn’t put it in words like you. I don’t think reality is arbitrary with no purpose. God doesn’t create just because.

Ask an atheist person and he will tell you there is a why.

So the truth has a why but it can’t be put in words?

Wouldn't an atheist say the opposite? That reality has no why?

After all it's just a dumb, material hodgepodge of random stuff. How can it have a why.

Get better if You want the answers ;)

If You're curious, the "difficulty" won't be a problem to You. It's fun when You like it.

They would say: big bang is the why

You already gave the answer to all the self-inquiry. It is all.... infinity = love = glue that holds everything together. I don't know what to ask really. Leo already gave away all the formulas to the secrets of the universe.

Atheist brought secularism which was necessary for the technological revolution. You wouldn't be typing that funny message without them. :D

Oh, I assumed we were talking about purpose here.

They would say big bang is the cause of reality, yes, but not the purpose for why reality exists.

Yeah, but You don't know it in your direct experience!!!

Cmon man! Others' conclusions are completely useless. The point is to discover the answers in your heart! Only they actually change your life.

Ask questions You find interesting and worthwhile ^_^

Firstly, no. Secondly, what does that have to do with anything? ?

Exactly. Ultimate reality creates the why, hides itself from the why, discovers itself within the why, and transcends the why. Awakened people can try to explain what they have seen, but the words are only pointers. It will never make sense to the mind, and is only directly realized.
