When Is Someone Ready To Teach?

46 posts in this topic

@Raptorsin7 You are ready for teaching when you believe you are ready.

You definitely seem able to help others, so go for it. ?

And as you keep developing spiritually, you can gradually expand on what you teach.

@Raptorsin7 IMO, the issue with teaching is not necessarily how to point, but how to guide students based on their situation.

I can give you examples of things I wouldn't know how to handle:

-Someone dissociates

-depression

-Wants to commit suicide

-psychotic delusions

-Hallucinations

-Is immoral and risks becoming an enlightened psychopath

-Dark night

-Kryias

-Anger and violence

And then there's all of the other mental issues...

Those are only the things I know about that I'm not confident in handling, and I don't want to be the guy that leads them there and then tell them they're on their own.

There was a guy named Rali (Naked reality on youtube), he got his students to awaken their Kundalini, and then when they entered the dark night, which always happens, he realised he couldn't help them anymore. He deleted his channel after realising what he did, didn't actually help anyone.

@Raptorsin7

If you can help people, help people. Capability, desire & purpose don’t seem to be in question. Empty of self referential beliefs, so you can help another to do the same, from direct experience.

I feel the more translucent you are, the more powerful your teachings will be. Consciousness teaches through you, like a light illuminating the room through a clear lamp. Teachers that rely upon personal charisma can draw big crowds, but they tend to get in the way of their teachings.

As @Endangered-EGO said, the teacher meets the student when both are ready. Consciousness has its own cadence, and when the time is right, the teaching will happen effortlessly.

Just because God loves you doesn't mean it is going to shape the cosmos to suit you. God loves you so much that it will shape you to suit the cosmos.

The thing is, I know I have some character issues and I don't know if they will come back to bite me, but at the same time I think I could be a really effective teacher for some people

Yeah, that is tough.

I think you simply serve within your niche, refer people to the right specialists if something happens like that.

@Thought Art I start with refering to Shinzen Young if they meditate or Rupert Spira and Eckhart tolle if they don't want to work their ass off.

Not for the above symptoms. They need 1 on 1 talking and guidance.

You are ready, just ignore the doubts and start. If there is something to be learned/unlearned, it will happen in the process of teaching. There will also most probably be withdrawal periods from teaching, when it happens the first time remember that it's just a phase.

(By the way teaching doesn't need to take a particular form)

If you can be a concious presence while you talk to people, that's already enough even if you don't speak about self-inquiry or meditation. Your presence becomes a teaching and an inspiration and upliftment of consciouness. From that a conversation about Truth may haopen by itself sponteniously. That's God's timing and appropriateness. You can't learn this. You have to become one with this presence. Then it will guide you every step and word that you say.

You're on the right track but you need to stabalize and deepen into this concious presence more until it becomes like your breath itself so you don't speak from your mind and conditioning when you speak with people.

god bless ?

Thanks a lot for the responses everyone.

I think i'm going to take it slow and just start giving advice on some forums and see how people respond.

I noticed that the thought "ME" has sort of an entire energetic content to itself

Like thinking that thought is pretty intense.

How do I remove the emotional/energetic content associated with the thought me/I.

Maybe try repeating the word "me" over and over again, while remaining mindful. Eventually the word loses its meaning, and maybe its energetic content too.

Yes exactly.

Tell me more. I really would like to know.

What you want to dream about. Remember you are imagining me.

@Zeroguy My next step is to make a bunch of money. I'm not sure how I'm going to do it yet, I was thinking of going semi pro in league of legends and maybe streaming, you can make millions as league streamer. But I'm concerned about fame, so if I can make money without being too public that would be better.

I want to spend a few years just having fun and travelling around, I'll also look for a relationship.

Surfing in hawaii, maybe develop some awesome video games, just enjoying being in the world in nature walking around etc,

I'll also probably work on developing some siddhis in the future. I feel like spirituality has just started for me so there's a lot of territory to explore.

Why would truth bother me, WTF?

I wish you all the best and I love this because this is me.
