Do not approach women

@yetineti I feel relaxed, sorry for miscommunication.

Sorry I should have read your response. My brain shirt down a bit as I was focusing on something else and assumed you were disagreeing. I only read the part where you think the whole internet is reading my post and was like, nah… it was beyond what I had room for though right now. I read some other section too Maybe I should have just waited before responding.

I wasn’t hostile, just affirming my point.

Sorry for any hard feelings. I’ll communicate better and read more thoroughly before I respond.

I acknowledge people are socializing less and feeling lonely. I did share that in one of my earlier original post.

I just think, knowing if I talk to someone, warm and with a smile they usually will chat a little bit. Not everyone for sure. It’s useful advice that I don’t think will scare people from talking.

"Hey man, cool shirt! "

"Awh, thanks!"

"sick man, have a good day"

You know? That’s a social rep!

@cetus Yeah i agree, i took it too far here, sorry.

That reply was just an extreme example of what's wrong with many of the replies in this topic area.

As a man who is a widower and had to raise a daughter on his own, I find it quite disturbing how some guys think.

So, to all you out of respect for your mothers, your sisters and the daughter you have or may someday have. May we be better men.

The righteous man walks in his integrity; blessed are his children after him.

@cetus

I understand where you are coming from more now.

Ironically, I’m usually called the white knight here, so I hope me defending him did not offend you in any which way.

I saw a glimpse of progress in him and really felt although I understood what he meant for a moment, right or wrong.

There is an odd paradox of rhetoric, I notice more and more, where the extreme language gets more and more extreme but the actions never correlate.

It puts people in an odd spot where saying something normal has a surprising effect against what is seemingly very extreme.

@Thought Art

Thanks. I’m surprisingly agreeable for how much I disagree. I’m working on that.

I can also seem needlessly nuanced, so I understand how I seemed that way and appreciate the feedback, really... It’s just an endless stream of consciousness from my end of things…

I kind of wish I could be distracted at this point.

Calling all women  stupid animals is very disturbing thing to say . I hope you are okay.

“God is the Alpha Omega .. the beginning-less  beginning and the endless end .
He is the first without start . He is the last without end . He is the manifest actuality ..nothing covers him . He is the most hidden essence  ..nothing can grasp him .. nothing below him or more subtle than him .The ego is the belief I’m separate from god . Because being god is too good to be true .No matter how dark it gets or difficult it gets ..no matter how long it is going to take .. my destiny is the infinite happiness and infinite joy and love as the best thing ever ..God .  “

His feelings are actually a microcosm of what's happening around the world as old institutions are collapsing and individualism is taking more of a hold. The reason why I think Majed is worth engaging with is because he's genuinely trying to figure this out and sharing his honest thoughts and his situation is quite difficult. He is stuck in between Stage Blue dating and Stage Orange dating and trying to reconcile it. Dating is not a activity based on freedom and love in the Middle East and a lot of other places in the world. It's built around authoritarianism and extreme pressures. Not to say that Islam is evil, it was perhaps necessary to unite humanity in the harsh region that it evolved in but it now seems to mostly comprise of dysfunctional defence and oppression mechanisms.

This forum is likely the most progressive and perhaps healthy support system he's exposed to so I hope you guys can see how the wish to reduce harm by silencing someone venting his angry thoughts could lead him straight down the route of further radicalization. He is trying to pull himself out of a repressive extremist organization that controls his life and I think we should assist him in that; he is not a just being hostile and trolling. This is the story of his life.

Just yesterday I was talking to a female coworker from Bangladesh who's been working here in Montreal and her family recently arranged a marriage for her and she's not excited for it as she says she knows what her life will look like after doing it and a lot of her freedoms will be gone. If she refuses it then her direct and extended family will disown her and she will lose all her support systems and community.

This is the culture Majed grew up in and the one half of my family also is part of and thus why I have particular compassion for those indoctrinated and oppressed by it. My dad won't talk to my brother because he's gay and I haven't told him I'm bisexual and he'd probably kick me out and stop talking to me as well for a time or perhaps ever. If I went back home to my home country and this leaked out without protective measures in place, I could myself face kidnapping and violence at my own family's hands. Ideology is a very powerful force and trying to pull yourself out is much harder than it seems from an outside perspective.

Notice a lot of parents of Muslim children discourage them from getting jobs when they reach 16 and a lot of them live at home until they're 30 if not longer. This is also why building independent value and leverage is both the way to attract women but to fundamentally free yourself from other human imposing their version of reality on us. There is a relationship between freedom and love that I can't quite verbalize yet but seems key to this conundrum.

Let's of course encourage people to focus on love and authentic intimate connections with others but let's not underestimate the forces that are working against that. To beat our enemy we have to deeply understand it. The enemy here being the lack of consciousness and the resulting dysfunction that afflict much of humanity. The reason I linked it to war is that this is the end of result of us not being able to understand each other. You see it today in all kinds of ways both in gender wars but in the literal wars that are starting to happen more frequently.

@LordFall That's fucked up.

I told my parents i am bisexual. And i think in their religious minds, it is more of a sin than anything else.

I think a lot of misunderstanding happens on this issue because of different paradigms talking past each others. In the religious mind, homosexuality isn't seen as an identity a person possesses but more of a sin, a temptation a human can be confronted to. That's why in their mind no one is gay. It's more of a sin and temptation than a sexual orientation that defines a person's identity.

A lot of religious people would tell you it's unnatural. I think they're coming at it from an essentialist viewpoint, as though men and women are ontologically fixed categories, and not changeable or malleable. That's why they don't believe in transgenderism as well and think it's an obscenity of nature.

Anyways it's a different paradigms that has its philosophical merits. We have to understand their viewpoint deeply instead of arguing.

Yeah it’s hard to wrap your mind around, even western societies are more comfortable showing violence than sex on TV.

The religions are specifically caught trying to demonize world and convince us that if we don’t follow their principles our souls will be tainted but in the process they seem to kill a lot of unity and love part of spirituality and replace it with judgement, shame, intolerance and overall a lot of stuff that overall sounds like devilry to me.

I told my coworker yesterday too that I was bisexual to give the thought that she can choose her life and not just go along with what her family chose for her but she just said “You know in our religion that’s the biggest sin right?” I didn’t really wanna start a religious debate at work but I wanted to ask what about murder and rape and actual crime? What is it about sexual autonomy that’s so fear inducing to ideology? I guess it cuts to the core of authoritarian control mechanisms, if you can control a beings reproduction then you got it by the balls literally.

No amount of explanation is going to mean we will tolerate women being equated to chickens and deserving violence.

I'm sick of religion being put on a pedestal like this. How does religion have any philosophical merit.

It has merit as a social tool, and its psychological roots are understandable. But the major sects of the major religions have as much philosophical merit as Shrek 5: The Porno.

Well I'm no fan of Religion but if I had to play Devil's advocate I would say it's the main value system that gets people to think about true long term thinking in terms of the afterlife and taking that into account instead of just ruthlessly acquiring power while alive on this earth. The Greek philosophers do a good job of also reflecting on our duty and the weight of our actions but without the after life consequence insinuation, I don't think it manages to grasp human behaviour as much as religions do.

Religions give you an easy answer as to where you come from, what you should do in your life and what you'll experience after you die as a result of your life's actions. If it was just about that then it would be a lot more valuable than it is now but of course it got its way deep into politics and culture so that it's not simply a spiritual practice but turns into an ideology and cult in a lot of cases. In a lot of ways the Catholic Church is the successor of the Roman Empire and it perfected it's control mechanisms.

Once a spiritual framework turns into an empire or an ideological cult that punishes those that don't fully embrace its tenants, it loses its soul and becomes mostly pure control.

I agree with you re those uses you mention.

By critiquing its philosophy, I am critiquing its alignment with truth.

For those who need an external moral/ethical framework when it isn't inherent from within. This is how I see it. Which is from a pragmatic framework.

In terms of epistemology ... yuck!

This one time: I can concede this may be somewhat of a stage green bubble experience: remember saying that directly does no additional good: your statement would be stronger with that line removed: same with it seeming low consciousness.

I feel like calling a spade a spade is very efficient in terms of basing a conversation on truth as opposed to feelings.

I'm telling you, if you keep looking for it on this forum and in society Stage Green talking points become very obvious. The biggest litmus test is they don't have a solution baked into their viewpoint. They share what is often a very valid viewpoint in terms of what concerns them but they don't make the leap towards understanding the system that governs the situation and thus lack problem solving in their perspective.

@Natasha Tori Maru @Ulax

Yes, epistemology is a great field of study to really go deep on spiritual ideas. I've had a lot of conversations with religious folks about religion and usually their answers are very shallow and turn condescending very quickly and it shows they haven't done an honest inquiry.

I had a 30 min talk about a friend of my dad about Islam and what he said sounded profound and worth investigating. Then when I asked AI about it, it said that the 3 main points that he brought up are common myths shared on Islam Tiktok/Facebook. I'm open minded and give it a shot but I wonder if he himself has ever bothered to cross check his beliefs or just watches videos that confirm his bias and moves on with his days feeling superior to non believers.

@cetus Thank you for sharing your backstory. My aim in calling out your harsh response was not to diminish the wildness of what Majed said. It's just to point out that we can transmute the anger and hate into understanding and provoke hopefully lasting and powerful change in the user. If we just push out people with problematic mindsets out of polite society then that leads to a fragmented world where an escalation of these negative feelings is bound to happen.

Anger is good! If met with understanding and channeling then it can embolden a powerful purpose instead of festering into frustration and fantasies of violence that mask feelings of inadequacy and powerlessness.

I feel powerless all the times. I've tried meditating over it and it works somewhat. The best antidote I've found though is power building and building the reality I want on my terms. This is why my original replies to Majed were about killing the victim mindset and offering him pure strategy that I think will produce actual results in his life. I think perhaps dating should be pushed to the side of his agenda to focus on autonomy and personal finance though; in hindsight with seeing how the thread developed.

I think you're stereotyping green a bit. There are plenty of stage green people who try to find solutions for problems. Don't forget that in order to properly integrate green you have to go through orange, and orange is very solution oriented. Yes, some stereotypically stage green people resent orange, but most stage green people are not like that.

Awareness, open discussion, and community are usually the mechanisms by which green tries to solve problems, and those are not terrible solutions for the problems green likes to grapple with. It's limited, but to say that green never provides solutions for problems is a touch strawmannish.

@something_else @LordFall I feel like you guys love to use spiral dynamics a lot. Honestly i feel like it isn't always concrete, and if you focus more on giving insights without necessarily anchoring it in the spiral dynamics model, i think this would be better for the development of your mind.

It's like the way Jordan Peterson for example love to see the world through a Christian lens. Now i think he's somewhat cognizant of that. But still any lens you use is just a lens, a map and not the territory itself. Be it christianity or spiral dynamics.
