Like Kaizen? The Japanese word & concept for positive change through small steps :x

Haha yea. Exactly that. But it takes a bit to ego tho to make change in such small scale.

I did not have jobs that aligned with my passion. I worked these jobs because they financially supported my passions, creative endeavors and further career growth.

There was a time  when I was jobless that I used to live in cheap farmhouses, and slept outside on the grass due to lack of working fans inside the room at night. However the next day when I woke up, I found myself much healthier and energised which puzzled me.

Later on, I read of Gandhi advocating in naturopathy manuals of the virtues of sleeping outside in the midst of raw nature rather than the confined walls of a house, and I  understood the reasons why I felt pretty good when I slept outside.  I similarly sleep in the beaches at night and feel refreshed and rejuvenated waking up. So there were some positives I reaped when I struggled with adversity.

Self-awareness is yoga. - Nisargadatta

Awareness is the great non-conceptual perfection. - Dzogchen

Evil is an extreme manifestation of human unconsciousness. - Eckhart Tolle

Do you have any other helpful Gandhi advice?

This was based on a book of naturopathy authored by gandhi, and you can find books on naturopathy yourself with natural and inexpensive healing methods.

For example, decades back I once had a boil on the back of my neck. The allopathy doctor I checked out with prescribed around 300 rupees of antibiotics which I did not buy then as I found it too expensive for a minor issue.

Later at home, I remembered a natural healing method I read in a book and practiced in an another country, and just applied salt water on the boil. It broke and never caused any issues to me again.

So I felt happy I saved 300 bucks back then.

I similarly know of people who successfully recovered from major ailments using cheap alternative medical treatments, after getting a poor prognosis from modern allopathic doctors of being incurable.

Dont be so idealistic. It will fuck you up

Self help is a new field. Its not there yet on many things. Enough things are not discovered yet.

@Ramanujan Bro what are you talking about . Many things have been discovered - before self-help there was philosophy which has since time immemorial .

@Rishabh R many things in the topic "how to be successful" has not been discovered yet

Philosophy is different from "how to be successful" topic

@Ramanujan But bro success is counterintuitive. Getting it won't feel like success . I have experienced this - After making to work I didn't felt like I had a grand success . For sure few days felt good but they faded quickly than I expected . So yeah ,I don't know what you're conditions are but if you're willing to struggle then it will determine the magnitude of your triumph .

The further you chase things like Success , happiness the further they move away from you .

Realized this after I was miserable in my class 12th and further but when I learned about the counterintuitive nature of life from Leo's video and when I began applying it I made progress , not only that the more I accepted my suffering happier I became , it was true back then and it's true now .

The more I just focussed on taking action more I progressed and succeeded .

Life is counterintuitive dude . Understand it , watch Leo's video on it and then try to apply it over and over again.

success is complicated

there is one school of self improvment called law of attraction . it has its pros and cons. its own practitioners . with its pros and flaws

then there is another school of self improvment called deliberate practice  . by anders ericsoon. it has it pros and cons. like no one got successful from that school. many burned out

there is another school of self improvment by stephen covey .

another by david allen

another by jack canfield

some say to follow your passion. which has its pros and cons. like india only have IT Industry to provide job. i fucking hate this school of self improvment.

succes is a complicated topic. many legends came up with many ideas. no one has it  fully figured it out. there are a lot of things waiting to be discovered. its a new field. i would say self improvment  is not even in a decent level

most self improvment book , if you follow it in a wrong field , you will perform worse than those who do not use any self improvment book

Oh really , then why don't you interview him regarding weather his story was true or not .Or do your own reasearch.

Also I am not talking about Victor Frankl at all . You assumed it incorrectly.

I was talking about simple thing - Counterintuitive nature of life or Backwards law by Alan Watts.

Search acceptance and commitment therapy on Google ,apply it that's it . No need to read complicated self-help books . Just apply basic principles.

Don't chase success, chase massive action and effort .

Here's the truth : You will never feel successful enough consistently no matter what you achieve .

Better act wisely .
