Why I Think Magic Is Real

This is a serious thread. 

I recently got interested in manifestation, which led to finding all kinds of interesting topics such as conscious creation, law of attraction, law of assumption, and even magic. Now, magic (often spelled magick) is defined by Aleister Crowley as "The science and art of causing change to occur in conformity with will." This is a good definition; magic basically is changing reality purely through your mind.

Why do I think this is real? Metaphysics.

Reality is consciousness, and there is really no material world. Further, you are this consciousness. So you can change consciousness (yourself) however you want. 

It's really that simple. I honestly don't understand how so many spiritual people aren't aware of this. I even saw Leo recently saying something like "the way manifestation really works is that it motivates you to take action on what you're manifesting." No!!!! That is literally applying the materialist paradigm's idea that you are separate from the external world and so you can't change it unless you grab a jackhammer or some lab tools. Lol. 

Here are some more reasons to believe magic is real:

• You are GOD! Duh. You think God can't change material reality?
• Every limit is imagined by consciousness and therefore can be unimagined (See Leo's "8 Unique and Original Proofs of God"). This means there really are no limits. You are imagining all limitation. 
• Mechanisms are an illusion. There are no mechanisms in reality; they are a feeble attempt by science to explain reality. You will never explain the mechanism of anything fully (because it is infinity), you will just get a better pretense of knowing it. Since there are no mechanisms, you can literally manifest something physically impossible.
• Every spiritual tradition talks about magic. 
• People have believed in magic for the entirety of history. 

Please tell me your take on this. I'm interested in what your objections are. And only answer if you understand that Reality is Consciousness, otherwise none of this will make sense. 

@Leo Gura I'd be very interested to hear your opinion on this. I think I might've made a big discovery in this field.

But God can also imagines material reality. That includes its limits.

In which case, you will have to play by the rules of material reality.

But you are God. So you can unimagine the limits. The logic seems perfectly clear. 

By the way, manifestation/magic is usually not about imagining a crazy new dimension like on a psychedelic trip. It's making select changes to consensus reality. That makes it even easier to unimagine.

And i should just point out, im speaking to Being/reality, As those things mentioned (in ur post) are instance of what you might temp., consider mind alchemy for the sake of knowing thyself, or as above so below typeve things.

The centervoid is that Being everyone wanted to know, but then surface level theories veil the fact that you want to know Being from some odd theoretical place or judgement.

Like, the radical awakening lives within itself, and everything else is subordinate to the awakening / psychedelic journey part.

Well yes, but again you can unimagine it. Unless you're saying it's simply too hard to unimagine limits.

Have you run into people with Siddhis? And do you think it takes high levels of realization to do magic, or can anyone?

Ask yourself: what is the intelligent function of limits?

Why do you think God imagines limits in the first place?

You're certainly welcome to try to imagine whatever you want. In fact, it's probably better if you test it for yourself. But I think you will find your abilities to be quite limited.

The flaw in this logic is the conflation of what "you" means.

You are God but your ego is not Omnipotent. Your logic tries to make the ego Omnipotent, which is a mistake.

You can just observe that your thoughts do not directly manifest themselves.

You can sit for 12 hours striaght visualizing a lightning bolt will kill you, and no bolt will hit you.
