What do you guys think? Does it convince you to get a Switch 2?

I think this is the prettiest and most detailed Nintendo game yet. You can see it pushes what the console can do.

My only critique as an artist (I do 3D too), is the use of fogs. It fits the environment yes but sometimes I think it’s over used, maybe it’s a distraction so you can’t notice the environment details loading.

@Juan Honestly I would be all over this shit if it were on the switch.

I cannot justify buying the switch II for just this game, as tempting as it may be.

Nintendo are one of the only gaming companies I still semi-trust!

I am excited to see this though!

Will you get it?

Breath Of The Wild is better than Ocarina. Ocarina is very outdated now in scope and structure.

Nintendo cannot resist milking their old catalogue indefinitely.

Can't wait to revisit such a magical world! Zelda lost something going open world, the mechanical depth is incredible in the new one's, but the whimsical atmosphere was sorely missed. So excited to dive into this animistic universe again ✨️

Zelda ocarina of time original was the best game ever made in human history.

This new trailer shows a different kind of style. The original was way more realistic and darker. The new one is too much color, too cute. Even Gannondorf has a cute face. But yeah the grafics are good, not the atmosphere.

I'd probably give it to 'Majora's Mask', though I haven't played the more recent Zelda games (and a whole bunch of other great games) tbf. It's funny because I started 'Majora's Mask' a few times and couldn't get into it, the whole three-day cycle mechanic just felt like an anxiety-inducing nightmare to me - now it's one of the things I love about it, plus being able to play as different characters with different abilities.

As for this remake, I'm curious to see how it pans out - obviously the graphics will be much better, but the actual gameplay would have to be noticeably improved to justify shelling out for it again, imo. Though I did notice that you can change your boots in the water temple without having to keep pausing the game, so that's definitely a big improvement on the N64 original already.xD

same but the trailer got me.

Albeit it feels more "beautiful" it also feel a bit overly realistic in a bad way now.

I prefer things stylized for this type of game ( like wind waker / or world of warcraft )

Wind Waker was better sorry nope.

( I played both )

but it's different, ocarina was a bit less free, and I liked being an explorer of unknown islands as a kid.

@AerisVahnEphelia Maybe women prefer wind waker. Overall for all gamers (which were back then mostly men), Zelda: OOT was way better.

I love Wind Waker, I love also Majoras Mask. But OOT is for me too profound. Maybe when I played in different order I would choose differently.

Yes, I haven’t played videogames since the Wii era so now that I travel a bit more, Switch 2 is da bomb for travel.

Switch 1 I never been a fan of their graphics so I skip it, there is many other heavy hitters already on Switch 2, you might love Pokemon Pokopia if you like the franchise and a good cozy game.

Some remakes ARE VERY MUCH NEEDED for the modern players taste buds (because they have outdated or bad controls). I never got into the OG Star Fox but now I did with the remake.

With Ocarina they modernized a lot of things like selecting items without pausing the game, Link can jump with a button now so they might add some verticality to the game, he can dash now so no more rolling around, no loading screens when you enter a store, etc.

The last time they remake Ocarina was for the 3Ds, do you think nowadays players are gonna be attracted to that? Don’t think so, and that is more a 1 to 1 compared to this.

*Laughs in Twilight Princess* :D jk

But kinda true cuz that game attempted realism. This is still a style imo, just realistic with a touch of cartoony and seems to be made outta Unreal Engine 5. This is not normal for Nintendo so I’m happy they’re testing the waters for this and Star Fox remake.

Wind Waker is my favorite zelda game but it’s because of bias. It was my first Zelda and I lived in the Caribbean so I enjoyed go to the beach whenever I could, it’s just vibes.

This brings back so many good memories of Ocarina of Time. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. is still one of my fav I still enjoy them; actually, I like all of them been so long between games.

It looks pretty cool, I think they went like 30% too realistic and should've made it more animated.

Way more excited to the flagship title and followup to Tears of the Kingdom. I haven't played a Zelda game since Skyward Sword so I'm waiting to be spoiled from missing a couple games. No way I'm ruining that expectation for a remake.

I replayed Ocarina of time on the 3DS like 10 years ago, that was pretty fun.
