Is health the foundation for spirituality?

Recently I saw Leo's video about heavy metal helation process. In the end of the video he said that health is the foundation for actualization and spirituality. Yes , I also think in that way. You start to think about how important health is when it starts to betray you. 

But the one question arises, that I can't solve in my brain. If the brain and health are not real, if they are imagine -  why we can't do proper spirituality without good health ? I think it's paradoxical. Or the game wants its rules to be followed ?

But if we take a truth from universe perspective - I must to take care of imaginary substantion to realize it was imaginary. Else I can't understand it. Feels very contradictory.

I can come up with one reason in favor of health: the less healthy you are, the more your survival needs are exacerbated, and the more locked into the survival paradigm you get. 
 

Some people suffer so much that they end up completely escaping survival and going straight to the spiritual realm. It would be another route to awakening, we might speculate. 
 

I don’t consider myself fully awakened so I am mostly speculating rather than speaking from personal experience.

That reminds me of medical weed. It truly works in mysterious ways. It is prescribed here for people who are debilitated with life threatening disabilities. My doctor gave me freedom to explore the cannabis realm after determining I use it responsibly (other patients need to be told how and when to take it. I was in that category in the beginning.)

 Certain doses and products help me live my life easier, while other methods shoot me straight to Infinity. There is a delicate balance I am still figuring out, as using too little medicine still leaves me stuck in my disabled state and too much REALLY kills me, so to speak.

So, yes, I am in a unique position where my life’s on is on the line and I kinda don’t have a choice with having these mystical experiences, since the medicine that saves me is also the medicine I am super sensitive to having spiritual experiences with.
