One way we would encourage higher quality posting is to tighten moderation around low quality posts.

I think we need term limits on moderators on here maybe.

Promoting the forum is not going to bring it quality, it brings in the masses. Look at the YouTube comments, that is what you’ll get.

Also a lot of the way the forum is governed and the community here is less interested in quality than it is in people who “fit in”.

There were two classically enlightened people who used to post and they both got kicked out for denying god realization / universal love or something. If quality comes from experience, that’s going to have diverging paths.

I’ve consistently noticed posts that I or others make that have more effort or more to chew on get less responses, and usually the responses are nitpicking or trolling.

Any post with a video longer than 10 minutes or more than two paragraphs probably gets a fraction of people actually consuming it.

Yes I was thinking along these lines also. It isn't so simple as more users.

I wish there was some way to transparently signal when a post is critically viewed as higher quality.

It is far easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled.

Trying to curate the forum in your own image I don't think is the right objective.  It is better to take reality as it is and deal with that maturely.

The reality is it seems -- you need a certain amount of drama to make a forum buzz like a sizzle to a steak.  No sizzle no good.  So there is a marketing and entertainment component.  Very few people are impressed by strictly serious or philosophical topics.

Honestly, I feel like Leo needs to make a more conscious effort to promote the forum in his videos. Especially since he doesn't upload as much as of late.

And this is how the organized actualized oligarchy forums.

Start by locking one-sentence exclamation (not genuine question) threads :) I liked to do that.

It depends on what you want the forum to be.  I don't see it this way.  I would rather have more than less people on here.

This just makes me want to stamp down even harder on the users here who paste AI and use it to ghost write their posts!

Everything is ghost writing here - pen in hand. ✍️

Question is, who’s directing that pen is the one question to all our answers. What is that thing, exactly , but everything expressing itself as known, in the instance knowing arises, one with the knowing, and not even ‘with’ except in this conception.

There is only the divine expression, the beloved.

I vote for somehow getting Nahm back

Nahm was an exceptional performer here. Banning him just reeked of ‘ bad for business ‘ mentality.

There’s no need for that sort of competitiveness or fear of being driven out of business. To me, that’s just a low quality mindset.

Simple ordinary “Recognition” of knowing we’re all just unique single facets of the same one diamond is the highest form of human intelligence, imho. No need to feel threatened here. Unless of course the threat is going to become a danger to your life, therefore you must defend against it. But that rarely happens anyway, so….let’s just rise above the jealousy, it’s not real, and you already know that, so what’s with the beef. It’s so unnecessary.

I feel like what's appropriate from my life experience is - Comparison is the theif of Joy . I have experienced that everytime when I compare myself to others I feel like a failure ,miserable but when I see my own progress I feel good.

Yes, this is an excellent observation, it’s the art of what self-mastery is actually pointing to, as you have eloquently and succinctly pointed out. Well put.

I would love it if more women joined and posted. I wonder if something can be done about this.

This space is dominated by the male perspective, and without balance, it often becomes rigid and argumentative. This already happened to me more than once.

If God is Being and God is Love, then we need more femininity around here.

We need more high consciousness women.

I would love if there would be ways to vote on someone's message.

E.g., each post could be voted with attributes such as "High-quality", "Perspective-expanding", "Honest criticism" — whatever qualities, behavior, and types of posts we want to incentivize.

These could then be gamified somehow to display as badges in the user's avatar if enabled, or used to filter the most relevant messages in a thread.

---

This comes from the perspective that often the problem is not the people themselves, but the behaviors they're being incentivized to do. Most people in the forum should be mature and open-minded enough to exhibit high-quality behavior. If not, the forum should be helping those not there yet reach these levels.

What is the goal of time spent on the forum?

Who's currently active, what do they want from the forum, what is the main consideration in their life, what challenges are they dealing with, what would they like to change, how do they see it changing. What practical methods through the content here are they applying already?

What comes up as cringe in the forum, what structures, qualities, come off as needing refinement?

Getting feedback from the users will help structure the forum with more direction, and provide a baseline for growth over time.

I think an important thing here is to be honest where people are spiritually. We are not all enlightened to the highest degree, creating peanut butter and jam sandwiches out of thin air, and farting out bliss (debatably) The ultimate enlightenment is a feat for the most incredible saint. I think neo-advaita is similar to , experience everything as god now, today , here is the conceptual truth, now - force the thought into actuality. To genuinely experience this ... I think people ought to be honest about the boundaries of their actual perception and state of mind with their selves. And I also think the standard may be too high. The concepts here are like top level when a newby ought to start with ... can i feel my feet. How clear is the perception of my own body, let alone, the whole dang universe. :D And it can take a few months to a couple years just to be able to feel your feet. Which is only to say. A little bit of grounded work could benefit the user.

If the forum, or this work is about helping people actualize, then I think there is a process for this, and a shotgun approach, hoping for the best can be improved. I think a little stage yellow organization and systemization here could help.

Perhaps an anonymous form, or a thread with a deliberate and curated form for review could help. An important caveat is that the feedback should be received non-judgementally, and discussion should be civil, and I think discussion on the actual feedback should take place between moderators based on their interpretation of the information, rather than an in forum debate. This process could take a couple weeks.

Awards and likes incentivize popularity seeking. Inveriably people are going to give likes based on their biases, not on truthfulness or even quality.

It's slopification as you make the discourse here more algorythmic.

Quality posters are generally a minority, so having a bigger glut of overall users should result in more quality postings. As long as general discourse is sufficiently constructive an non-toxic via moderation. Could always consider tightening moderation around low-quality postings.

There's no squeezing more juice out of a fruit than there's juice. You need a bigger fruit. That's why promotion is the most straightforward solution imo.
