Good breakdown of that F-35 situation, the situation in Iran is escalating if they can actually hit F35s with cheap truck mounted surface to air missile systems that's very bad news for the US airforce

Iran is supposed to have Chinese radar that can detect stealth American aircraft.

Trump is basing war announcements(lies) on stock market timing. Announced before market opened that he's postponing attacks on Iran. More crimes!

28 minutes ago — Donald Trump says the US and Iran have held talks on the "complete and total resolution of hostilities" in the Middle East

Trump refused to tell who specifically of the Iranians they were speaking to "a respected leader"

Iran has defeated the u.s. military in 3 weeks, lolz.

I don't get why the US constantly has to get involved with Iran and the Middle East. It's just awful for everyone else

This video features a discussion between Judge Andrew Napolitano and Professor Jeffrey Sachs regarding the geopolitical implications of the conflict between the United States and Iran, specifically asking if it marks the end of American hegemony (1:18). Sachs argues that current US actions represent a catastrophic collapse of governance and competence, driven by a war of naked aggression chosen by a small, irrational group surrounding President Trump (7:27-8:30).

Key Discussion Points:

Delusional Leadership: Sachs asserts that President Trump's claims of successful negotiations are false and delusional, pointing to immediate denials from Iranian officials (4:25-5:00) and bizarre statements about jointly controlling the Strait of Hormuz with the Ayatollah (18:00-19:00).

Israeli Aggression: The Netanyahu government is described as a fascist regime aiming for territorial expansion, such as annexing southern Lebanon (6:52-7:15).

Economic Consequences: The conflict has caused significant disruption, leading to a collapse in Asian stock markets and soaring energy prices due to the destruction of infrastructure (10:29-10:40, 24:45-25:15).

Collapse of Process: Sachs highlights the lack of rational review, deliberation, or Congressional oversight in these foreign policy decisions, contrasting it with the systematic strategic planning he observed in China (13:00-16:00).

Call to Action: Sachs urges members of Congress to adhere to the Constitution, reclaim their power to declare war, and act as responsible adults to halt this dangerous trajectory (29:34-30:10).

Because the US is the dominant power, or was and wants to remain so, and cannot tolerate countries completely hostile to it expanding their sphere of influence and challenging it, as this would undermine its power.

You might say: this is completely unfair, every country has the right to decide. True, but without the US, the Middle East would be like Europe at the beginning of the 20th century, with escalating tensions between regional powers that would lead to wars. Since the essential resource for the world economy is located there, this would be disastrous.

Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and all the Gulf countries, except Iran, did not exist as nations until the 20th century; before then, they were part of the Ottoman Empire. The natural process of creation and equilibrium among all these countries would have been violent, as has always been the case in the formation of states. Then the balance has been kept artificially. Maybe would be better without interventionism? Impossible to know, but also, impossible don't being interventionist if you can. The Soviet union was pushing hard before, then the oil was so essential that the power in gulf was a must for US. Anyway, the world could have being managed better, but also much worse.

Yes nothing is going on here.

I don't know what it is but in none of these wars the North was attacked.

Maybe there are no important military bases here in the North at all.

Trump followed Netanyahu blindly into striking Iran and killing those leaders, and now he wants out of this war. I have no idea on how hard the IRGC's stance is on the current situation, the strait of Hormuz could basically be shut forever. Does anyone know if the IRGC could reach a deal with the US, like if they got all their sanctions lifted for a number of years, would the IRGC agree to stuff like this and reopen the strait?

And if the US does take over Kharg Island, could Iran really try to destroy all energy, oil, and desalinization plants in the Middle East?

Trump and Netanyahu are desperately  searching for scapegoats - while Trump called Hegseth indirectly yesterday - Bibi is now blaming Mossad for not forseeing Iran's resilience...
The war is lost at this point - any off ramp destroyed by multiple lies and deception.
Iran will hammer Israel and the Gulf States and keep the Strait closed until the Epstein Coalition falls apart.

How's the peoples feeling? Do they truly desire regime change, or is the fact that their country is under attack causing them to begin viewing the regime as legitimate?
