Does diet affect spiritual work?

10 posts in this topic

If any of you are vegan/vegetarian (or have tried it in the past), did you notice any impact on your spiritual work?

On one hand, I understand the idea that we should aim to reduce the suffering of all beings (including animals). But I’m also dealing with some health issues, and I have found I feel my best when I eat some (quality and organic) red meat - probably thanks to the bioavailable iron and various vitamins. Is this a selfish thing that is hindering my spiritual work?

"Just because the rabbit screams louder then the carrot, it doesn't mean it's more alive" 🥕

Not saying it's true. But it's one way of seeing this topic.

Here are smart words that present my apparent identity but don't mean anything. At all.

Yes I have tried this directly, vegetable-based diets tend to break down easier in the stomach therefore stealing less prana from the mental space, making you more energetic and clearheaded. They usually call it Sattvic diet but I suggest you do the experiment to see what works for you personally.

Do whatever you want, asking these questions is hindering your spiritual progress

What thing do you mean it is hindering your progress?

If you ask me, true goodness is managing your nutrition consciously. You would spread more goodness that way.

People destroy their lives and other people's lives because of bad diets. And you ask if you could achieve higher states. Corruption might not be necessarily the killing of animals for consumption.

Ok, not many will take it seriously, but this is life changing advice.

Learn about food combinatorics.

Your digestion time can go from 24 hours+ to an hour. :P

@Human Mint You are trying to become one with reality. If you dont want to stop eating meat and try, everytime you dont do what you want you will fight in your mind with reality. You need to enter flow, not should I or should I not do this, then not wanting to do it when you do it,for the sake of being morally superior. You want to become one with your dream. If you had a dream and there was chicken in front of you you dont say im to morally good for this you just eat it.

You can do other things like breathwork and meditation which will help more versus saying should I or should I not do this, even this is a mind game that needs to stop. Its not flow to do something you dont want to do its anti flow.

Like if you want to stop masterbating when you still want to do it. You want to but force yourself not to. That's not flowstate at all thats decoherance and is more harmful than good. If you want to jerk and find yourself with your dick in your hand just do it.

You can do practices to stop these situations from appearing in your conciousness but to think should I or should I not will just backfire. You go in flow and then add some practices and then you just won't do the things without even thinking about stopping them. And if you still want to do them then keep doing them.

For me, in my experience. Yes.

It is far easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled.

@HojoYou might have the motovation or dream to stop eating meat in which case makes a lot of sense for you to pursue that. Then you will realize whatever you need to realize. Play your game which is part of becoming one with the dream.

@Human Mint if he did he wouldn't have to ask if its okay. This suggests he still wants to, so do it, thinking doing something you want to do will hinder your spiritual path will hinder it more than stopping without wanting too. Realizing you can do what you want and God won't judge you is way more powerful.

Not doing it out if morality is spiritual ego which you are trying not to do.
