What browser do you use?

Curious about what browser you use and why.

There have been talks about some browsers adopting AI features, which might not go too well with a preference for privacy.

I use Brave, by the way. It automatically blocks advertisements and strips out some trackers and whatnot.

Why is the sea king of a hundred streams?

Because it lies below them.

@Sugarcoat I'd say privacy, among other things, to a greater or lesser degree.

Chrome and Edge are apparently the most egregious.

It seems to me that Brave and Firefox are two of the best options out there.

There are also LibreWolf, Waterfox, Vivaldi, and Zen Browser. Thorium for speed.

Edge and Chrome may not be the best choices when it comes to privacy and an ad-free experience.

I use Brave on my phone and Firefox on my laptop.

I can watch YT on my phone through the browser to not get ads. Also, I can save and download videos to Brave Playlist. Brave is literally a godsend. xD

Oh, I didn't know you could do that playlist thing. I'll try it out. Thanks :D

I usually install a "distraction-free Youtube" extension on every browser I use that, well, hides the sidebar and removes other crap.

Brave Origin is being worked on. It will be a debloated version of the browser. Free on Linux, likely a paid product on other operating systems, which is kinda funny.

@UnbornTao I have an iPhone. Not sure whether it’s on Android.

I usually have the purple tune icon whenever I’m playing a video. This lets me quickly add something to Brave Playlist. If there’s no icon, I can go to settings (three dots in the lower right) and add it from there.

Here’s how Brave Playlist looks:

I don’t really understand what that need for extra privacy is about, that goes beyond what regular sites like safari or whatever provide. Maybe I’m just so unaware of what goes on online. Is it about like the Internet gathering data about your preferences and adapting ads to it, or is it a concern about private info leak, or ?

@Sincerity

Well, it turns out the feature is not available yet for us Android peasants.

I wouldn't say it's about extra privacy, but rather less intrusion - among other things, such as security. It's a bit like disabling questionable settings on your Facebook account (or some such analogy.)

To honor our focus and love for conformity, I'll recommend the following video:

It sums up the sentiment nicely.
