Can i Become Rich Without Killing Myself?

10 posts in this topic

Can someome become wealthy while maintaining his health and not ruining his body by an excess of stress hormones, constantly running through his body.

Leo has alluded that you must work like a madman to become rich.

But what about Osho or Eckhart Tolle who became rich without ruining their bodies by too much stress?

Eckhart Tolle nearly killed himself. So that's an odd example you chose.

A certain percentage of people become rich through dumb luck, good fortune, and just being at the right place at the right time. Tolle is an example of that. If Oprah had not platformed him, he would be a nobody. Osho's success had a lot to do with the special timing of his rise. It was a cultural moment.

Yes, there are easier ways of making money. It isn't always hard work. Some situations involve little work but massive profits. But it's hard to ensure this situation happens to you in particular without a lot of work. You have to hustle and manipulate reality to create those opportunties for yourself.

Think of hard work as you rigging the game of life in your favor, otherwise the odds are too much against you.

Imagine you had to slave away 10 hours a day for 10 years just to rig one slot machine in your favor, but then you won the jackpot. That's what hard work is often about.

@Leo Gura Eckhart nearly killed himself not by working 16 hours per day to become wealthy.

Money is just energy moving around. And there are streams of cash flow. You need to find them. But the thing is most good spots at the stream are already taken so you need to find out before hand where new streams arise and be at the right time and place. But even better strategy is just to look at what other people do and just copy what works. Think and grow rich is a very good book on this subject.

But you're just pointing to celebrities. There's plenty of spiritual coaches who are making more than a doctor by leading retreats, high-ticket coaching etc. And they worked hard on that, takes years to build up a business like that.

Most of the things you're looking for (wealth, love, friendship, etc) are multi-dimensional and have way more than a single expression that the general public typically associates with that concept. If what you want is to feel wealthy, practice gratitude and focus on the things that you're rich in rather than the things you lack.

If what you want is money (different from wealth), realize that there are multiple approaches to achieving your goal in regards to material wealth. You need multi-pronged strategies rather than simply maximizing income. For example, if you want financial independence, try building modest reliable sources of passive income and cutting down on wasteful spending that are common with a culturally modern lifestyle. If what you want is to be a billionaire (aka to feel rich), refer to my first answer; you have higher odds of dying before 30 than to become a billionaire.

Money is a tool but it's not the only one. Do some soul-searching for WHY  you want to be rich and then look for more practical tools to achieving that, like the solution I provided for feeling wealthy.

Of course. But this contradicts the OP's question.

Of course. Tolle got wealthy from extreme good luck.

If you want to guarantee wealth, you must work hard. But not necessarily too hard. There are easy ways to get wealthy. Most of them are just gross and unethical.
