Always remind yourself he is a marketing man in the self help field. He tries to convert the psychedelic users into his customers. Maybe his friends also come all from an esoteric scene.

But he still could have some points.

Of course there are dangers.

There are also dangers to sleeping with hundreds of women.

Funny how that is never emphasized, huh?

To be fair, Owen does always emphasize being very careful with condom use (not getting STDs and getting them pregnant), pulling out (with a condom), being aware of the danger of RAS flips in sexual relationships.

On a deeper level, you could argue he doesnt emphasize the danger of getting addicted to game, but he does emphasize getting these basic needs out of the system so one can focus on higher stuff (more rarely tho).

It’s a different story whether he can practice what he presches himself.

I havent also heard of him talking about how game hurts the girls.

@Leo Gura I think there's a difference though .. I never had an issue sleeping with girls. It's quite simple to put a condom on and save yourself from 99% of issues. But I've only done psychedelics like 4x - one ended up with cops and paramedics involved. I couldve been more strategic about it, but as a 22 yr old back then, lack of guidance, etc. - I dont think psychedelics are for most people unless you get a strong foundation going in many ways.

Rule number one of psychedelics. People who haven't done psychedelics don't know about psychedelics. Rule number two of psychedelics. Try it before you judge it.

Owen’s perspective on psychedelics lacks nuance and is grounded in various assumptions and biases- all of which he hasn’t personally validated and is unaware of.

This alone invalidates his perspective, although it may contain kernels of truth in it. His perspective on psychedelics is coming from below, not above.

Right but to be fair from Owen's perspective having gone too far with psychedelics and being weird would be finding his content shallow and focusing on deeper things in life.

I don't doubt that some of Owen's friends that used to be cool with him don't really associate with him anymore due to his low consciousness. I've heard plenty of bad stories about Owen so his more conscious friends probably surpassed him long ago.

The dangers of pickup go far deeper than catching an STD.

Pickup will corrupt your soul and mind. As it did with Owen, Julien, Jeffy, and more.

Look at the monster it made of Julien.
