Yeah that's what came to me, like I can chop wood, make a fire, plant a garden and do some farming, practice archery, maybe even some magic with my staff, do some cooking, maybe even fish if i needed to survive, i realized we enjoyed these games a lot as children because deep down we felt they were missing in real life, and once i started doing more of them in real life and living more naturally, I started to realize how much more fun and alive it was and then looking at the game within a game, well it no longer had any depth or served me in the same way.

The one thing I do miss is going to war with a group of your friends or clan and battling it out to victory, that I am willing to let go of in real life :P

I am but a reflection... a mirror... of you... of me... in a cosmic dance ~ of a unified mystery...

It gives you the tools to compile it yourself.

@something_else thanks for the tips. I’m going to try out MacBook for one more week and then see. I use Mission Control but the thing is that not all tabs show in Mission Control. Especially if you minimized them. So there are always some ghost windows lurking in macOS. And the only way to see them is by right clicking the icon and then guessing which window you need from chrome because the title doesn’t show the website name. Another thing: If I have multiple desktops open on the system and press on an app it switches to the desktop where the app is open instead of opening a new window of that app. But there are ways around that to open multiple windows of the same app but then it just gets to messy if you have a lot of things open. I talked with AI about this and it says I just need to get use to the Mac way which in my eyes is bothersome. I like the build quality and such although I heard it breaks down all the time.

I basically never use the minimise feature. Minimise is it’s own thing on MacOS, it works very differently from Windows. Just switch to whatever window you want to move to and forget about the whole concept of ‘minimising’ from Windows.

The multiple desktop thing can be annoying. If you right click (two finger click) on the icon you can open a new version of the app from the context menu. After a while I found this more intuitive because when I click the icon in the dock 90% of the time I want to show the existing window, not open a new window.

If you never minimise apps, all window management can be done via a combination of Mission Control, Cmd+Tab and Cmd+Period (alt tab but only between windows of the same app)

I’ve had the M1 MacBook for like 5 years now and it’s never broken down, feels good as new. Idk if it’s true that they break down more often. Certain models of MacBooks are known for having very critical design flaws, but they’re all quite old models afaik. As a rule they’re all very bad for 3rd party repairs though which is not ideal

I've been using Linux Mint for half a year now.

It just works™. And these greedy Microsoft bastards can go to hell. They shouldn't be given money on principle.

You can basically make Linux work however you want, with enough willpower and research. You even have the option to use Windows programs.

MacOS is also great. I've been using it at work lately and it's flawless. MacOS for work and Linux for personal use - chef's kiss. I like both.

I can already sense that you use Arch, btw.

No! I'm on Fedora but I used Arch and Ubuntu in the past.

I heard that even if you forget a grain of rice or something similar and you close the laptop, the hinge will fuck up the screen. And I have a macbook m4 air so the repair costs are almost the same as the laptop itself.

It is time to become timeless

@Schizophonia I’ve never had such issues.

It probably helped that I specifically bought a laptop that I knew would handle Linux well.

I was just trolling a bit because it reminds me of my bad experience with Debian.

I know Debian is particularly different.

I think Linux Mint is a bit more accessible for newcomers than vanilla Debian.

Fedora may be a better option for a more up-to-date base.

@UnbornTao Have you checked Deepin? It is visually similar to MacOS.  (Chinese btw)

The desktop environment? Hmm, no, I haven't tried it. I've heard it's pretty, but a bit bloated in that sense. I prefer a more barebones interface.

COSMIC seems more interesting to me.
