People are Extremely Selfish

Yeah I've been pondering that for some time, but I have one difficulty. I haven't experienced non-egoic, non-selfish pure consciousness yet, I just have my life experience so far as a reference, and I don't have much contrast between selfish and non-selfish perception. Everything is basically selfish from my POV, more or less.

I even see my own agenda when I do "non-selfish" activity like helping others for example.

I guess non-selfish would be something that I do that's not in relation to "me" and myself. But all I know is "me", so yeah, it's a tricky one.

I'll keep pondering.

Survival = selfishness. Check out Leo`s 3 part episode on what is survival.

Yea I've seen it. The tricky part is distinguishing what is survival vs what is not in every day experience.

@SQAAD people like those who seriously follow and actualize what Leo teaches are doing it because at some point they suffered a lot. That suffering motivated them to finally make a serious change. It still came from selfishness, in order to escape pain.

We all are a bunch of selfish mfs. But i get your point, we see stuff they don't and it is frustrating because the world could be so much better.

Yeah this is tricky. Although I`ve never experienced anything mystical (to me it seems so), so I can`t tell what is not survival. But it looks like that mother`s love for her baby is kinda not survival in some sense. But still I`m in doubt.

Psychological / ego survival for sure.

The fact of the matter is a stage yellow person is less selfish than a stage red. But he is nowhere fully selfless.

I think that's a very direct example of a survival. Why do you think it's not?

All people are selfish. Anyone who says they're not selfish is either deluding themselves or subconsciously covering up their selfishness with good deeds. NO Selfishness is when you REALLY sacrifice yourself. Have there been many such cases? Has there ever been one? So, think about it. AhahahaxD

Anyone who says they're not selfish is probably even more selfish. I see such people on the forum.¬¬

Bro, you're idealizing Leo too much (I don't mean to say anything bad), you're a little out of touch with reality.xD

Why is it selfishness?

You are telling people how to be. If they dont act like how you want you become resentful. What if you had a higher being telling you how to not be selfish but you didnt listen so it became resentful. That would be someone you dont want to be helping you.

Sometimes it's the journey itself that teaches/ A lot about the destination not aware of/No matter how far/
How you go/How long it may last/Venture life, burn your dread

I dunno really how to explain this. I don`t think that there is only instinct like "this baby will help me when I`ll be old, dadada". But I`m not a mother so it`s hard to know for me.
