AI synopsis:

'Bryan Johnson is founding a new movement called "Don't Die," which he describes as a "religion" based on longevity and the idea of existing indefinitely. This ideology, which stemmed from his work in biohacking and anti-aging, proposes that the "body is God" and that humanity can overcome mortality through science and technology, especially in the era of artificial intelligence. The movement aims to be a unifying framework, a "grand unifying theory of existence," that guides humanity to survive and thrive by prioritizing existence and using technology to defeat death. '

Longest living humen to ever lived became 122 years old. Her name is Jeanne Calment. Lets see if Bryan Johnson can beat her record.

The notion of technocrat capitalism saving us is so perverted and warped. They are living in a fantasy land. I’m not saying technology will improve some people’s lives and help solve all sorts of challenges. I definitely don’t think it will replace good ol fashion government and our values as a society. They think the technology will somehow fix everything or substitute living with integrity, it’s madness.

Less is more, comes to mind here.

You don't really know what any supplement does to your health. Could be negative in ways you don't even feel.

But then you are paying thousands just to gamble that it is doing more good than harm.

Except he measures everything

There are also rummors that he's been drinking Coca Cola on a regular basis, that it is almost like a water for him. Bro really put all his skill points into "luck" attribute

If anyone does care to look further into this - his experiement is N=1. Which isn't the main issue.

He does change what he is doing A LOT. Starts and stops protocols across the span of weeks. And I think due to just how much he is doing all at once (and how frequently he changes his protocol) it is very difficult to track what is having an effect and what isn't.

And to really top it off - someone can correct me if I am wrong here - isn't he taking exogenous hormones? TRT and HGH? I feel like these would be giving the bulk of his results. Exogenous hormones shit on supplements in terms of efficacy.

I just think he is throwing spaghetti at the wall and hoping something will stick.

In addition, he publishes only his top results and picks what to show and what not to. His book was a marketing ploy (personal opinion). I found it low quality.

Redeeming factors would be his transparency and honesty. And good focus on the basics many have lost sight of. But there are many others out there who stress sleep, nutrition.

All of the above coupled with the transhumanism stuff really gives me a sour taste. I am suspicious this is a grift (he sells his own supplement brand now also). In addiction, you can listen to interviews with him where he is questioned on in depth and he often cannot answer and diverts or stumbles through.

So all of the above leads me to believe there is a pathological compulsive issue behind the scenes manifesting as a virtue; that this is all for health. And I think such a radical 180 from previous idealogy and lifestyle points to a pathology manifesting in a different way. I don't judge him, and many will not care about what pathological issues he may have given they perceive his overall message as good.

Cola is just sugar water. It's not going to kill you.

There are folks who smoke a pack of cigarettes a day and live to 90.

Your body is not as fragile as these health nuts make us believe.

There are a surprising number of centenarian smokers.

This would be a concern for me also.

Plus, if he has transhuman ideologies, it is worth doing due diligence and looking very closely at where his personal incentives and beliefs come into his experiment and message. This isn't at you per se :P more a general discernment users should employ

I just realized this is the guy they make memes about. There are European grandpas that look healthier than this guy who smoke a pack of cigarettes a day. Nothing will keep you healthier than some sun and love.
