Never once have I seen GTA and had any desire to play it.

I'll likely pick up GTA 6 as I'm a fan of the series but I'm skeptical as to whether this games story and characters will be on par with the writing in Red Dead 1, 2 & GTA 4, since the lead writer left after GTA 5 (which I would say is one of the weaker written Rockstar games).

 

I reckon it will be good fun at the least,  especially with friends if the multiplayer isn't bogged down by limitations, but for me it's mostly interesting to play to observe the technological qualities of the game itself (graphics, game systems etc.) and to get an idea of where gaming is headed in the future. I'm more curious than excited tbh.

@Leo Gura You’ve never played a GTA? I remember you commenting on rockstars ability to make good games. (Which is kinda rare)

I'm worried that the game will a) lose it's edginess and b) that the gameplay will be too slow and simulator-like, like RD was. Instant fail back to checkpoint if you don't follow the script exactly. No player agency but the player character's nipples visibly harden through their shirt when it's cold. instant 10/10.
