Unironically, the game is a fertile shadow work space xD

👿🔥 To burn some karma. Indulge in some little unhinged fun. 😇

I hope I can become a Übermensch to kill God himself in GTA VI for such a wait. Making Nietzsche and Freud proud.

I've never liked GTA. The world is too mundane, not interesting no matter how technically good it is.

Why does anyone want to play in a life-like urban setting?

@Leo Gura have you played cyberpunk 2077?

Rockstar employees recently had a protest because Rockstar was union busting in UK and Canada. This might be related to that.

No. I didn't like the way they launched it.

Rockstar has had a bunch of internal issues that they were going through. One of them was the overworking culture. Another one was the toxicity boys dorm kind of stuff. And something to do with management changes.

We hope at least that the GTA VI won't have lost too much of its personality due to those culture changes, like becoming too politically correct and losing its dark humor.

GTA 4 had the best personality I think. The protagonist Niko Bellic was a great character.

This one was a side mission where he helped a drug addict prostitute get back to her family

I wonder whether they can top Red Dead 2. Apparently, Dan Houser hasn't had anything to do with this GTA.

The idea is that in GTA, the player can do things in a virtual urban setting that they can’t do in a real one. That being, committing crimes and such.

Technically you can do that in any urban setting, but there are consequences of course. So GTA exists to simulate that without the consequences.

@Leo Gura yeah, I remember that. I got it for christmas, but returned it because of the problems they had. Never played it though, but I think they pulled a no man's sky and made a good game.

Now that the bugs are fixed it is really a great game made with passion

Side note : try to play clair obscur really one of the best video game experience lately

The  psychology and self deception of the character with a really well written scenario and universe is almost art

So now they've lost your respect and you will never play it?

There is a very little chance it will be better than GTA 5 anyway, and if so, it will have crazy CPU requirements. Yeah, I am not building a new PC because of a single game.

There are literally no new games that are better than the older ones (with KCD2 being an exception) which saves me a lot of time and money I would otherwise spend on a new PC.

I hope it will be delayed till 2030 and it will be bad 😁

Rockstar has trended more and more towards realism, but GTA untill now has always been hyper real, a kind of parody of reality. There's an inherent humor to the freedom of being able to kill people and road rage in a life-like simulation of LA, where not being an awful person is the exception. There's a thread somewhere where they discussed which GTA V character they hated the most and nearly every character was mentioned at least once. That's hilarious.

My biggest worry for GTA is thaf it is going to be too realistic and become tedious to play, like RDR2 was. I couldn't stand that boring ass game.

At least it's Rockstar so you know it'll be worth the wait!

*weight when you see how much storage space this fucker is going to pilfer. Its going to make your eyes water.

I'm calling it now, people are going to complain about the file size, with a subsequent backlash of people going "shut up, it's GTA!"

So what games are good if GTA is bad? For me it was the gold standard for gaming. Other games are just too sandboxsy for me. Most popular games are shooters for example. How soul numbing is that.
