6000 books, Lol. There don't exist 2000 books worth reading.

Anyone can read 6000 books in life, not hard at all.

The real power from the books comes from applying what you learn in the books and doing the pratices you learn in the books. That is what takes self discipline.

The real question you should aks yourself has he applied every single lesson in all those 6000 books for rest of his life? That would be a fucking legend. Not reading 6000 books, just for the sake of reading them.

What number would you propose as a rough estimate of the number of books out there worth reading, besides your book list?

6000 is pretty few. My brother reads 1- 2 books a day for 35 years. That makes over 25.000 books.

@Leo Gura l know it's hard to believe but my brother is not normal. He is autistic and reads whenever he can. Even if we go to restaurants, driving car, he always has his books with him. He is a super fast reader, I witnessed that he read 2 Steven King books a 600 pages in one day.

Although there were some years where he didn't read that much books (World of Warcraft time), I think 25.000 books is not overexaggerated.

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

@OBEler Depends on the book, fiction you can go and swift through. When I could had listened to books at work, I was managing to fit at max about 12 hours of listening per day, solid books, non-fiction. But in practice it still turned out to be less than 100 books in a year if I remember correctly.

Reading a lot is like going to the McDonalds a lot. It is definitely not a flex. You have to be very careful who you let in your mind. The architecture of the library is as important as its content. This is where close-mindedness is a good thing vis-a-vis open-mindedness.

@Ramanujan his content is very fluffy and geared towards the masses. Most of his books can be summarized into one page and you will still have 3/4 of the page empty.

Reading tons of mostly stage-orange self-improvement books still isnt a good indicator for some more ambitious and holistic definition of personal-development. His center of gravity still seems to be orange after all these years of reading and studying.

He doesn't work and he just reads fiction books, sometimes technical books about electronic and physics.

100 books are still very impressive for a normal human being.
