If we knew how well the middle class lives in China we would riot. China has solved poverty and homeless for its entire population in our lifetimes. They have 90% home ownership rate. Universal Healthcare, low crime rate, affordable high quality education, cheap electric cars, good environmental regulations, high speed rail, etc etc..compare that to the tent cities, mass shooting, toxic social media, culture wars, and fentanyl epidemics of the "free world". 

One major reason China is doing so well is because they don't have two parties undermining each other every 4 years. They have one party committed to improving the lives of its people, the environment, advancing technology.

We are deluding ourselves in the West at this point that we are in any way better than China. We need to stop infighting and pull out shit together to remain competitive. Heres a good video and channel on the topic....

Yeah, hopefully the US gets a Bernie Sanders type president for at least the next two terms. And if things go well, it might even be a longer term shift in a more compassionate direction.

China's government is less in bed with corporations compared to the US. 

Bad societal development is arguably just a matter of regulation to a certain extent, so when we get developments that are bad for society broadly speaking we have to ask why hasn't the government done anything about it. If the government is corrupt/innept then we have an issue.

Brilliant video and agree with your comment. Western frame works including Spiral Dynamics handicaps us in understanding other societies including ourselves - the map is not the territory.
 

Spiral dynamics isn’t a ladder as if to view societies within a hierarchy from, but a spiral where values / stages are embedded, constant, and context dependent - manifesting in various ways at all times - whether latent or dominant.

Life is not as linear, or black and white as it seems.

Quality of life isn't consciousness.

Millions of people disappear when disease strikes. Locked in to die.
Say one thing outside of the goverment line and disappear.
Be a different culture or nation on one of their maps and disappear.
Threaten, Threaten, Threaten - Succeed and thus in inspire more threats and war globally.
Take any land and sea you want and thus inspire the same and help destabalise the globe.
Build endless cities nobodies living in, to sustain fake economic booms - exactly the same as the US (only the US do it with individual homes)

There is less corruption in china, that's it. That's why more gets done. The USA has a high degree of corruption, not as high as somewhere like Russia but high. This one party line is objectively wrong.. I could point to 50 countries with one party that are corrupt and their quality of life or domestic situation is terrible. Though a multiparty system is far more stable and less prone to corruption than a two party system, which is one reason America suffers from it. China just tends to execute or be extremely harsh on corruption, which is why they suffer from it less.

I actually dislike the chinese as a culture far more than the Russians. The Russians see a threat and they are attacking it, I understand it, I understand them.

The chinese culture, outside of China, likes to absorb territory, cultures, and either kill them off, imprison them etc. And then people make threads like this saying how conscious or great they are. Drives me nuts but there you go, great propaganda, have to give them that.

*Although I want to add that China still suffers from corruption, for example, in its armed forces.

The Internet needs to stop calling USA the West. The West includes Western Europe, Canada Australia, New Zealand, and yes The US.

US is crumbling down, the rest of the Western countries have their struggles too, but nowhere near but these videos are highly biased to showing only the US and claiming the West is falling apart.

From my own experience and living in Asia, the Chinese (people and government) are no favourite among other Asian countries. They bought big influence in Asian (and African) governments, by building roads and telecom networks. 

 

I'm open to the idea that US is done as the most dominant power, China (and BRICS) will probably be the next one. There are some good things there, but they're absolutely no angels, and they strive for world domination as well, just as Europe before, just as US before, but because of different era it works out differently.

This is true, they have basically quietly colonized Africa for it's resources. But the fact that all their people live in homes shows there's also something amazing happening in China.

No one is implying China are angels. But the fact that all it's citizens live in homes, means that something good is also happening there. It makes it easier for people to do consciousness work when their basic needs are met.

Yes. Its embraced socialist aspects that America villainise. We do so in Europe, somewhat, depending on the country. Instead, China villainises liberalism. 

If any point of the compass is vilified, the country suffers.

This is because they are balancing factors.

I've long since said this but nobody's interested because it would make their takes more nuanced and realistic, which would deflate some of their narratives naturally.

Be careful with this colonisation justification.  The Europeans tried to do the same thing, with the Spanish it was in name of religion, with the Dutch it was in name of trade, I don't have to tell you how that went down.

Granted there will be a select few locals in these countries that will benefit, because infrastructure has to be build and maintained, so but the majority of the locals will not benefit.

Yeah, there are some good things that China is doing that the US is not doing and I must say that China truly has come a very long way since the late 1900s with improving its economy overall.

However, if China is doing so great, then why has it still been suffering from a serious deflation crisis for over 2 years now? Why are they still suffering from a serious property sector crisis in their country? Why don't they have as much of a social safety net as America does?

China re-directed capital away from the speculative property market and towards strategic industry and self-reliance after the US pivoted hard towards containing it via tech and trade. Both done under Trump and Biden (CHIPS act, export control, Nvidia)

Nothing wrong with price decreases. Don't fall for the Keynesian psyop. Maintaining housing bubbles doesn't help new money and people starting out get into the market.  How would someone with nothing be able to buy property much less rent in a nation like Canada that purposely props up their property bubbles?  

Home price to income ratios globally are getting worse for the working class, and it seems like the only way to make any decent money is to inherit money or have enough to invest, because central bank policies act to inflate asset prices without the corresponding increase in wages.   Doing nothing to prevent investors from gobbling up these assets doesn't help. Wealth on this planet is becoming more and more concentrated, which is almost a natural result of an unchecked system, but will have a bust at some point, if not managed better, the bust will be greater.
