Why psychedelics can lead to god ?

32 posts in this topic

Someone please make it clear for me, Leo says that psychedelics can lead to god realization and to know that everything is imagination/dream, but I don't understand it exactly !

Did god/consciousness imagined psychedelics as a cheat code to realize itself ?

Or Leo just means that by using certain psychedelics you see/hear/perceive different things from what you see/hear/perceive when you're sober so this makes you question "if the perception during psychedelics is imagination, so why not also when you're sober ?" and that makes you realize you imagine everything ???????

Basically this.

Yes, they are a cheat code for increasing  consciousness.

It is more than just precieving different things.

They are but therein also lies an issue to exclusively use them, because it creates an at least subtle barrier between the altered state and day to day consciousness.

Best way in my view is to use them is without any intention at all.

It's time for some TWIST!

You still need a significant intellectual, introspective effort during and after the trip otherwise you just forget it and come back to normal.

There are people who did tons of trips but didn't change because they didn't do this effort, they just do whatever during their trips.

Because psychedelics primarily increase consciousness, since this happen to do this very important thing they can lead to realizations of God. If there was a sound effect that increased consciousness, if receiving a certain massage, or if smelling a certain scent increased it, then those too would be cheat codes. Just so happens, you could say, that psychedelics are the thing that does that.

Psychedelics are like poor man's meditation.

They will force you into an out of this world/body experience. You just have to take a hit.

Like Schizophonia said, unless you "hang onto" and develop whatever Insight came your way, it turns into a cool memory, in some cases being used to justify spiritual mindrot, jump to conclusions, create a "truth-seeking" identity. "Psychonaut."

These are powerful tools. The most powerful. You can use a psychedelic as a springboard to instant death. Now you can rebegin your life in that way which you see fit.

I have seen people take psychedelics and get bombarded by revelations about the absurdity of the joke that is the life they had been living only to return back to it in miserable fashion after the effects of the substance expired.

Transforming your life is a DIY Project, that means you have to do it. Imagine that the goal is to find Waldo.

In this rendition of "Where is Waldo?", people hide inside the walls, behind the doors, camouflaged so naturally with their surroundings that it would beget an epic leap of something beyond faith and a great deal of time & effort to See Clearly...

BUT, if you take psychedelics, in this metaphor, it is like being given the x-ray vision. NOW you can find Waldo more EASILY given the added, arguably "divine" facilitation.

These are the steroids of mysticism. Use at your own risk.

@Leo Gura Is answer 2 also valid ?

It is somewhat valid, since that kind of questioning does happen, but it misses the raising of consciousness that psychedelics provide.

The raising of consciousness is the most important factor.

Why do psychedelics raise consciousness exactly? Is it just chemical?

That is the billion dollar question!

We don't know.

It's like asking why does the mushroom in Super Mario Bros make Mario big?

While you are asleep your mind drifts apart and you awake to put together the pieces. But it was just a dream? Back in the day, people would interrupt their dreams to spend time contemplating the oracular nature of their minds. They would view these unconscious experiences as true-sight. Under the influence of psychedelics you bridge the gap between dream and wakefulness, as in, the wakefulness becomes as absurd as the dream. But whilst under no influence your perception was by default absurd, not grounded in anything real. We need to anchor to real. Psychedelics allow you to expand the domain of real. But it isn't real, it's more hallucination! The hallucination of your incarnate experience is the only thing you will ever be and it is no less real than that one time at band camp. Perhaps this recursion will allow a smoother mode of transience upon the mind's life.

I find it fascinating how psychedelics can even work. It could be trash or toxic for another animal, I think.

I don't understand how it could happen that it is designed to affect humans the way it does.

I think that people focus too much on the psychedelic itself instead of considering the biological reasons for its effects on humans.

Will understanding the biology make you trip & raise your consciousness?
Are you suggesting we find a way to trigger those pathways through other means?

Of course because they increase connectivity and activity among virtually all neural networks.

The real mystery is why consciousness likes itself to be correlated to neural activity.

Gaining an understanding of a specific subject would not make you trip.

You just take a psychedelic.

Why not?

Maybe there will be way more effective methods that we can access in the future. Maybe with them we can have psychedelic experiences, and maybe we'll discover new ones along the way.

I'm not sure it'll work, though.

Because you designed it this way, so you can awaken and remember who you have always been when the time is right. You, as God, self-impose or imagine these limits upon yourself; you could say psychedelics are like an encryption key to opening the door of all your consciousness of who you have always been. It's as if you've imagined or put a block or filter on your consciousness; it's like a veil being lifted, and you gain access by unlocking your infinite mind. Without consciousness, you could not be conscious of any of this now. You are using a very small amount of your infinite consciousness, as in being a human. You, yes, you, God. Someone once said that behind your greatest fears, the truth may be found. Without the illusion of fear and hard-to-obtain psychedelics, it would have been way too easy for me, that is.

Psychedelics only reduce brain activity/metabolism. The remaining activity is more connected, yes. But your brain is essentially going to sleep while you're on them.

I think the explanation is that psychedelics alter the brain and its neurons so that increases consciousness (of course the brain is imagined by god so I'm not talking from pure materialistic scientific point)

@Leo Gura what do you think ?
