One thing Aubrey deserves credit for it putting himself out there in front of the whole internet. That kind of vulnerability is not easy and commendable.

He's just self-deceived by the New Age bubble he's built around himself. He lives in an echochamber of New Agers. There's no one there like me or a Peter Ralston to cut through all that New Age fantasy.

This is a prime example of lack of grounding.

I agree with the above - I do think he is showing a lot of bravery proceeding with the whole 'business as usual' for his podcast. Even trying to publicly heal. 

I view anyone in the public eye as having some kind of dragon armour. The anonymity of the internet shows you the depravity of what people are capable of given no consequences. And they go hard at the soft, vulnerable underbelly.

He's one of the richest men on the planet.

I'm sure there are 10s of thousands of women (including very attractive ones) that would literally throw themselves at him because of his wealth and fame alone.

Plus, he's not a bad looking guy.

And I don't mean escorts would be interested in him. A man of his standing and wealth will be attractive to many women.

If he wanted to get a genuine lover who was some very attractive 25-year old supermodel, he could easily do that.

But he probably just prefers his wife for more emotional reasons. Once you're that wealthy, access to sex with hot women is a given.

But men don't get married for that reason. External pressures not-with-standing, most men ask a woman to marry them because they love the woman they're with and they want to deepen the commitment.

I would encourage all you who are so against polyamory to check your biases there, there is really nothing wrong with it and it can be done in a healthy way, even though it often isn't (just like monogamy). The way aubrey describes this deep love for someone overcoming jealousy, because you want them to experience the fullest deepest connections without limitation is really how it works in my experience. It's not about chasing sex but not limiting your connection with other souls. In a post-post-modern stage of development relationships really don't need to be monogamous, although they can be. There's a lot of cultural associations we have with monogamy that we can be blind to.

I've posted about polyamory on the forum like a year ago or something, as I was suprised it wasn't discussed here more given how much it connects with unconditional love and mature ego development.

It does not make sense why Aubrey is doing poly but still has so much jealously and pain around her having sex with others. It's weird. If you're doing poly you shouldn't care what she does. Not go cry about it as Aubrey describes. This to me is a red flag. He wants poly for himself but not truly for her because deep down there is a fear of losing her to some better guy.

This is the problem with poly, the ego is happy with it but is secretely plotting to use it to lock in with someone extra hot. So poly becomes this game for faking openness until someone really high value comes along and then you lock in because you cannot stand to lose that much value to someone else.

That's what Aubrey did to get Vylana.

I suspect that the ego is using poly just as a ploy to maximize value for itself. This is then a corrupt thing and I don't want that couched as spiritual.

He’s not going to get genuine love from a 25 year old supermodel if the only reason they’re interested is because he’s one of the richest men in the world. They are just after his money in that case.

That’s why famous people usually get in relationships with other famous people (if not someone they knew before they were famous), dating their fans often feels fake and weird because they don’t feel any genuine interest, just money and fame. The ones who do sleep with their fans usually do so casually with no actual relationship. 

Most super wealthy guys who try to date after becoming wealthy just get gold diggers, they spend so much time working they have 0 game and turn most women off when they lead with money, as a result women who want their money get them wrapped around their fingers. 

If they have a more genuine relationship it’s usually someone they were with before or someone of similar wealth.
