Trans is most likely an issue of genetic neuro-divergence. Seems to be the best explanation of it. Similar to how some people are gay.

@Leo Gura, so, if a person finds it appealing to have some or all characteristics of another sex regardless of whether they are suffering or not, it's because of genetic neuro-divergence?

No. That would be a kind of mind virus.

There are people with legit genetic issues, and then there are people who are just confused with weird ideology and group-think and poorly defined sense of self.

In my "direct experience" most guys are not completely straight. Flexible.

@Salvijus

Salvijus, you speak like someone who’s spent a life time avoiding feeling. You hide behind abstractions and metaphors while someone is sharing the most vulnerable parts of their life.

You think you’re being deep or helpful, but it’s really cold, evasive, and honestly—arrogant.

I’m not angry with you. I just want to know—have you ever really sat with someone in pain, without trying to fix them or reframe it through your philosophy?

Because all this talk of fire and water is just a shield. It keeps you from having to actually feel anything.

If you think that’s spiritual maturity, it’s not. Presence is felt. Not performed.

Stop performing— and ask for help. You clearly need it.

If you’re strong enough to dance around a topic like you have, I can only imagine what you’ve been through yourself.

Take care. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.

But leave these people alone.

So fascinating. Can you share some insights into the male and female gender roles, having lived as both? What are pros and cons to how people treated you for both genders?

@Leo Gura, I didn't get the last part for that case.

It seems to me that you are saying that suffering is necessary to determine whether it's legit or not.

The last part Leo mentioned is about having a confused, weak and distorted self image. Or when the mind is radicalized with a belief system and is indoctrinated with group-think.

Who said I'm wrong? God? Or your own mind?

It doesn't work the same way in the inverse.

If I say "God thinks we should all paint ourselves blue and dance around on Fridays.

And then people ask "Is that God who thinks that? Or is that just you?"

Then I answer, "Who said I'm wrong? God? Or your own mind?"

I hope that makes it clear that it doesn't lend any credence at all to my own idea that God wants us to paint ourselves blue and dance around on Fridays.

The burden of proof that God thinks that is on you. And if you're honest with yourself, you'll see that your notion that God allows everything to change in appearance but not in terms of other things is just a notion you made up in your own mind... no better or more rooted in the truth of what God thinks than the "paint yourself blue on Fridays" ideas.

There's a lot of assumption in this.

You seem to view being trans either purely as a genetic issue or as ideological group think.

But you have no solid evidence that either of these interpretations is true or false.

It's not like they test trans people for genetic issues to determine if their gender dysphoria is "real" or "fake".

Can you not see any other possibilities beyond those two options?

Here's a thought-provoking video by Contrapoints about this very topic where she plays a "trans-trender" and another more conservative trans person who sees it only as a genetic disorder who judges the "trans-trender"....

Actually I think the most recent Contra video would interest Leo more because it's right up his alley when it comes to conspiracy theories and epistemic corruption and stuff. I was planning on sharing this with him but forgot.

How are you confused if you know what you find appealing to have by looking at another sex?

I also think that those things can have a huge influence.

Those questions are useless in any order or scenario. If you're to show what I've said is unreasonable, you gotta show some arguments and point out the flaws in logic. Probably if you had understood my position properly you wouldn't even disagree with the statements I was making.
