Holy Shit, I'm Terrified of Death

You're afraid of disappearing, and those who say otherwise are lying. You're attached to your human identity like everyone else. The only way to let go of that is to open yourself to your true essence, and that's not easy; it's a mystery, and no one can do it for you. 99 percent of those who say they've done it have traded one mental construct for another, and that belief keeps them stable

Do you think psychedelics and 5 meo dmt in particular can permanently erase the fear of losing the human identity?

It's not a forgetting or amnesia like state..........it's more like realizing deeply that all these numerous things, that seem to make-up a separate identity, actually do not.

Its Noticing these separate thoughts and feelings of identity in the body/mind habitually cycling over & over again (web of beliefs)......constantly reconfirming this self illusion.

When it's seen clear enough, it's almost like this cycle is interrupted and it begins to collapse altogether.

The body will always pursue survival by instinct......but that which experiences suffering and is afraid of death, is that very self illusion

Can help to release energetic blockages. But there is always attachment and fear unless you are a true mystic.

Well seeing as the human identity is the only thing that fears losing the human identity, and seeing as 5m removes the human identity at powerful levels...eventually you can become completely fearless fearing nothing. I think. I mean if you realise your literally immortal, what are you going to fear lol

I'm also, recently, afraid Christianity is true. The resurrection of Jesus may have actually happened and that freaks me out. Don't wanna go to hell when I die.

xD

You must have committed big sins. And if reincarnation is also true, you will be fucked because your next life will be more miserable than your present one.

We are all afraid of death because of this reason . But can you imagine that death is the best thing ever that could happen to you? Not that I know that myself I'm as clueless as a rock. But something tells me God or reality is inherently good not evil .

I will pray for you my friend.  🙏.

I didn't say that. It was @Oppositionless who said it. Why did you misquote me?

Praying for him will not do him any good. It's better to clarify that his fear of going to Christian hell after death is silly and NOT worth taking seriously.

How could an all-loving God burn a soul in hell for eternity? Only an all-evil God would do that.

It's obvious to me that the threat of hell is merely a tool for control. Christianity, in its effort to preserve itself, created the concept of hell to prevent believers from questioning its doctrine and abandoning the faith. I have even witnessed a cult leader employing the same strategy. He raped hundreds of followers and to deter them from reporting him to the police or leaving his cult, he threatened his victims, "If you leave or file a lawsuit, God will curse you and your family—and you will all go to hell!" This strategy was so effective, he escaped punishment for decades.

@Oppositionless

Don't waste your time and energy on silly fears, especially if they're outside your control. Your life is in front of you right now. It's better to focus on enhancing it: determine what you desire, make a plan, and then implement it. That's something truly worth your energy and time.

No I was indoctrinated by Christianity growing up. Christianity doesn't care if you sin, all they care about is whether you accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior. If you don't, straight to hell.

Nobodys afraid of not existing, cause nobody knows what it means to not exist. The question is what are you gonna do when its time. You know its time cause youve had enough of the game, physically, mentally. Death doesnt care. Your done. Whats it gonna feel like? its not gonna feel good. And we dont have a good plan besides not eating and hoping it just happens.

Death is a sharp opportunity, its like a texture that is faster, and braver, one step ahead. Its the hated, the sadness, the destiny that awaited. Its the in-between, the unknown, and its always there. Its not realized, just misunderstood, staring at everyone, most patiently. Its like the top of the lid, containing the carbonated drink, right before its twisted. Once twisted, its all let loose, and from liquid we pull ourselves back to a solid. But how are you gonna get there? Let the cap loose, or its the most patient and retardly slow deaths ever.

The only way to lose your fear of death is to have a moment of enlightenment from time to time. Then you see that all your human density is more of a nuisance than anything else, and that you are the unfathomable. That is your home, your reality, the reality.

This is the only way to make something disappear that you carry with you every second of your life: dissatisfaction. There is no other way; nothing will free you from that burden, not even for a tenth of a second. You think so, but no. It's always there; it's the barrier that encloses you and keeps you trapped. Don't you smell it in yourself? And in others? That agitation, that constant search for the next thing that never arrives because then it's another next thing

Yes there's a sense that being human is a burden. I can't be satisfied , I have a strong dislike for myself sometimes. I want to open myself to something bigger. I sometimes thought I found it, but it's all belief, it's not experience. Psychedelics haven't worked on me as well as I would like, and I think that's because of my fears and resistance . I love the Christian narrative because there's no identity loss . Being human is a burden but I still crave an afterlife where I can see my mother's face, talk to my friends, still be human but it not be a burden .

In infinite being you will find your mother, your friends, your identity, all your mothers, all your identities, all mixed in the no form. Absolute being is everything, and when you realize it you will see that nothing lacks. You mentioned Christianity, they say: the prodigal son is back, let's party.

Gotcha, I thought you were a no self person. Because of the previous thread where you said consciousness was not the same as the absolute , I guess assumed that meant no continuity and total memory wipe after death. I'm glad you clarified .

I feel like you're onto something , but for now it's just a belief, not an experience for me. I want it to become an experience.

It's easy, just let it all go until there is absolutely nothing left.

You don't have to do it in real, just learn to achieve a mental state where you let go everything for a moment

A new species of homo sapien has been discovered! The no self people!!!

hahah but yea it’s hard to tell sometimes if someone is that or not. It’s kind of like the next step in the human evolution.

That's true, conciousness is absolute because no conciousness isn't, but conciousness is not the reality, is an absolute facetz of the reality. The reality is absence of limits, and everything is in it, also conciousness

Why fear death? I get if someone is afraid of hell, because that would be scary asf, or some bad reincarnation (that has been my fear as a child), but void, nothingness, everlasting sleep, why would that be scary? Think about it, is it ever scary to fall asleep? No , then death (if it’s like that) won’t be scary. If you believe in reincarnation then that could even be positive, so the things you miss in this life might happen in your next life? Yay . lol just some thoughts.

The no self person is who has realized the illusion of the self with the mind but has not opened his mind and his heart to the unlimited, realizing then that he is that
