I have serious work to do.

I cannot babysit thousands of people to ensure they all do their homework. Most won't do it anyways.

I am developing serious courses and books that will guide people through the entire epistemic process. But that takes a lot of time and work to create.

On the blog I make statements and claims. A blog cannot be a course in epistemology. The blog is me throwing out insights that will be more fully explained in courses and books.

If Albert Einstein had a blog, it would not teach you how to do basic physics. For that you enroll in a university course. And Albert Einstein would not be prodding you to do your homework.

Fair enough. Props for that. But seriously tackle the topic of belief. It's easy to miss it and would be very useful, if, again, people don't believe in it. Get clear on what it is. If you aren't, I'll bet your followers aren't either.

Also, it's interesting that you frame it as intellectual work.

And for some reason this doesn't prevent it from happening.

In practice many people flunk out of university.

In practice many people flunk taking life seriously as I have observed. They can't even stop smoking cigarette for a week leave apart practicing philosophy, meditation,contemplation/self questioning. Yes you were right that people won't take a person kindly who questions assumptions.

Do you honestly feel like you're in a cult ?

Isn't this the second time you're asking me?

Not every cult is bad, though.

This is very low tier apologetics https://actualized.org/insights/why-the-universe-cant-be-eternal

The dude there dont have enough spine to represent the non-theist side well.

And of course he also doesnt steelman the infinitist view (which btw some physicists take).

Even if we go with the assumption that the Universe had a beginning , you would still need to establish that it had to have a cause and even if you managed to do that (which isn't trivial btw),  you would still need to rule out many different versions of infinite regress and  even if you managed to do that, you would still need to rule out a bunch of non-theist non-personal alternatives .

The nature of reality in general, is you have to tackle these things yourself. Dismantling belief from actualized or anywhere else has to happen on your own… though theory helps.

Because you were very vague in your answer the first time.

You told me to go look at a thread about Teal Swan, not sure if I found the right thread.

Is it possible to be slightly more specific about why you feel it's a cult ?

Now it's a good cult, not sure what you're actually saying . . .

You can't prevent people for being irresponsible fools.

You are expecting something that can't be expected of large groups of humans.

There is no such thing as a good cult. A cult is bad structurally, from the start.

That's why Actualized.org is not a cult. I don't control any of you people. You are free to do whatever you want as long as you don't violate Forum Guidelines on this forum. Outside this forum I don't care what you do as long as you don't annoy me.
