What a mess.

This whole conflict has been a perfect example of lose-lose dynamics unfolding.

It’s hard to watch.

Israel needs to show some kindness. It’s not hard.

There is plenty of food to get there, but they won't let it in. It's part of the ethnic cleansing to remove them from gaza and resettle it as part of Israel. Which may end in genocide, as many will never leave. There is still a chance to course correct for everyone, but people have that much indifference to human lives in these generations that I don't see it. The usual deaths of hundreds of thousands don't evoke the same reactions it did 20 or 30 years ago, and no one reply that it's the same unless you were alive to witness the difference. - We've gone so far to the right that most reactions are unsympathetic, and there is no left pull to balance it out.

Sanction Israel - Force aid in by air or sea - Stop weapon shipments to Israel! Stopping them to Ukraine isn't going to stop this LOL! It'll just create another problem the other side of the world.

Is it true?

Sounds extremely fishy. This is why countries that stopped funding them after that rumour, having deemed it untrue have continued to fund them.

Which is more terrifying? Starving babies or healthy ones.  I guess that’s a matter of perspective.

Living with trauma makes that difficult.

A beautiful addition from Claude 3 Opus:

Quote

I understand the context you're providing about Israel's history of trauma and how that might impact their actions in the current conflict with Gaza. It's true that a history of collective trauma, like the Jewish people have experienced, can make it more difficult for a society to respond to threats and conflicts with empathy and kindness.

When a group has faced existential threats, persecution, and violence, it often leads to a heightened sense of fear, mistrust, and a strong desire to protect oneself and one's community at all costs. This can make it challenging to see the humanity in those perceived as enemies or threats.

In a war or violent conflict, this trauma response can be amplified. The immediacy of the threat and the high stakes involved can make it even harder to respond with kindness or restraint, as self-preservation becomes the top priority.

However, it's important to note that explanation is not the same as justification. Understanding the role of trauma in conflicts doesn't excuse harmful actions or absolve people of the responsibility to uphold ethical standards and international law. Trauma may make kindness more difficult, but it doesn't make cruelty inevitable or acceptable.

Moreover, even in war, there are often powerful examples of individuals and groups who manage to hold onto their humanity and show kindness in some way, whether to civilians caught in the crossfire, wounded enemy combatants, or even just to their fellow soldiers. So while trauma and threat can certainly be barriers to compassion, they don't negate human beings' capacity for kindness and empathy.

These are incredibly complex issues with a lot of painful history behind them. While trauma is not an excuse for unkindness or cruelty, understanding its impact is important for breaking cycles of violence and building a more peaceful and compassionate world. But that process is difficult and requires good faith efforts and sacrifices from all sides.

Is it true that UNRWA has been proven to have connections wit HAMMAs, and that there was a terror tunnel beneath a UNWRA building?

Even if true, then how does that justify IDF banning and restricting UNWRA from giving food aid to Gazans who are starving to death?

More terrifying than that is living day to day in states of apathy and psychopathy, living like a robot, a part of the cog in the wheel. From that state technically all kinds of evil, suffering and ignorance can so easily start.

@Nivsch

from Wikipedia page for UNRWA

“The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East[a] (UNRWA, pronounced /ˈʌnrə/ UN-rə)is a UN agency that supports the relief and human development of Palestinian refugees. UNRWA's mandate encompasses Palestinians who fled or were expelled during the Nakba, the 1948 Palestine War, and subsequent conflicts, as well as their descendants,[3][4] including legally adopted children.[5] As of 2019, more than 5.6 million Palestinians are registered with UNRWA as refugees.[6]”

Makes sense they would be somewhat, even slightly related to people involved in HAMAS. But, Israel is also saying civilians are related to terror, human shields… what is going on with you guys?

They are clearly bringing in food to starving populations. The trucks easily checked, but they are being refused entry.

I just… decent people are starving right now.

All of that is true, but they should just allow a bunch of food trucks to pass through. That's no big deal I suppose.

I always defended Israel's decision to attack and kill terrorists, even when it comes at significant collateral damage and civilian casualties.

But you can't starve those 2 million people to death. This is starting to look like a real genocide, if they are being starving to death. This will never look good on Israel.

I'll repeat, this is a great example of the effects of propaganda, ideology, mass states of apathy, misinformation/disinformation, information warfare, narrative warfare, culture war, controlling the information ecology, ignorance of Spiral Dynamics stages of development, cognitive and moral development, developmental psychology and personality types/traits, ego development, collective shadow selves(Carl Jung), Integral theory, and indoctrination/proliferation of ideology, information leveraged by those in power to manufacture docility and consent in the population to blindly believe and blind faith in governments mostly authoritarian/totalitarian who falsely brand themselves as more left wing.

More and more, as time goes on in this war, the Zionists are looking more like their Nazi counter parts, anti policy, anti progressive/socialist, anti liberal, anti-democracy, and pro military and ultra far right nationalists ATM.

You keep bumbling around these threads "not knowing" anything. Can you just see whats happening and come to a clear understanding already? How much longer do you need to make a stance?

It's pretty simple dude. One mans terror group is another mans freedom fighters. WRAP YOUR HEAD AROUND IT!!!!

@Bobby_2021 where did you see they prevent humanitarian aid?

I appreciate your reasonable approach and I know you are, and if Israel would not allow any track (or just 8 tracks) to enter I would agree with you, but there is no evident for that.

Netanyahu must be very stupid to do that when he knows he need Biden's support. This isn't make sense. I would not hurry to trust casual not-innocent media on youtube and search for something official. I add here a counter media to buffer out the poison.
