  1. I truly understand and feel the world as part of myself. I can feel myself as a function of the world. I can feel the fallibility of my identity. But I find myself not truly understanding the true nature of god and the action of consciousness. I would like to fully comprehend reincarnation and how the observation of life works, I fully accept that these are simply concepts that I have preconceived notions about and I want to shed these ideas and form an understanding and acceptance of reality.
  2. @0bserver If you haven’t transcended death yet reincarnation won’t make sense. Self can’t think of itself, in an actuality sense, so it’s idea of it self is subject to the idea of death. These selves & death must be recognized as ideas, a recognition-less recognition which occurs upon the ‘experience’ of the actuality. ‘Experience’ infinity, rather than the thoughts about it. Nondual is never ‘solved’ via duality. The movie Wizard Of Oz exemplifies this nicely. Also, different yet same approach, go straight into desire, express it completely in your life. Spend more time visualizing, dreaming, fantasizing, meditating & actualizing vs thinking. In regard to the op, these are transcending suffering, and also reveal the ‘stuckness’ of finite (thinking).
  3. @Nahm @PopoyeSailor I'm not saying that's the state you will enter after death. I'm saying that after death, your subjective, immediate being in the world, constituted of phenomenal experiences, qualia, cognition, perception, memory, and so on will cease to exist. So if it were the case that there is reincarnation, the structures which contain all this information about the previously lived experience don't come along, so there is no way to tell that you have reincarnated. So it's a story that people tell themselves, something they'd like to be true, but when you look at it more deeply, it's just as delusional as anything else that we humans have come up with in our minds. Why is it that two people who have identical mystical experience, yet after the experience one interprets it as if it has something to do with reincarnation, and for the other person it doesn't even occur to link this experience with reincarnation. The difference is that the former has been exposed to the eastern philosophy and concepts of reincarnation, and the latter has experienced it through the western framework.
  4. You seem to be assuming that after death, one enters into the state into which you are describing. But, that's not the case. You were in some form of enlightened state. In enlightened state reincarnation doesn't occur, because the Annamaya Kosha(Physical Body), Pranamaya Kosha(Energetic Subtle Body) Manomaya Kosha(Mind with its Memories, thoughts and its modifications) Vignyana maya kosha(Causal body - Pure individuated conciousness without any further modifications) cease to be. In such a state, no reincarnation, no mental modifications and no heavenly or hellish realms are experienced. Simply comciousness realising its brahman state and remaining as brahman-the pure conciousness. Until enlightenment is permanently achieved, reincarnations as well as mental realms in-between such incarnations keep happening. Here is the proof:

  8. Sorry but this is not helpful at all, if anything it makes me even more confused. What you're saying might make sense to you but for me your writing is very unclear. You're probably talking about some specific state of a direct experience, like under psychedelics or in deep meditation. I've had ego-death before on psychedelics and I understand (experientially) what it's like to be in a state of no-self, without dichotomising, just being pure awareness. But nothing in that experience indicated at reincarnation, there weren't even any thoughts, there was no conception of reincarnation that could have even entered my mind during that experience. I could have only rationalised that the experience had something to do with reincarnation after coming out of that state, I would call that self-delusion, because I would have interpreted my experience against an idea that I had read or learned from somewhere, this thought wouldn't even enter the mind without prior exposure. So the idea that direct experience can say something about reincarnation makes no sense to me. When you're telling me to look for validity of reincarnation through direct experience, you're already setting me up for a certain kind of interpretation of this experience.
  9. How can one experience this other without dying and losing their memory? What is your definition of reincarnation exactly, is it the standard definition: "Reincarnation is the philosophical or religious belief that the non-physical essence of a living being starts a new life in a different physical form or body after biological death."? Based on this definition there would be no way for you to know that you've experienced reincarnation, there is no memory carried over into your next life.
  10. What you're saying doesn't make much sense. Reincarnation is not something that exists in the direct experience, unless you are just redefining words ant not explaining them.
  11. I understand that direct experience is the only thing we know is real, whether it's a delusion or not, direct experience by definition is true. This doesn't explain how you were able to experience reincarnation. It's an idea that requires you to think about concepts like the past/future, death/birth, etc. How can you say that you can only trust direct experience while simultaneously believing stuff like reincarnation?
  12. According to most traditions it continues to experience manifestetion by reincarnation or as a disembodied being. I haven't confirmed that by direct experience though so I wouldn't argue too much on that.

  17. Yes it makes sense. I have been wondering for so long as well.God is not a person, a being but a beingness. In my highest states i just was, there was no wondering am i alone,am i this or that. It was only ecstasy and then after coming back the ego invents stories like solipsism, loneliness as god etc. But these stories are lies. To be alone one has to say i am alone.Even loneliness is just a thought, an experience if you would conceptualize it as such. It is only possible with a separate self. That unity that oneness, beingness, awareness doesn't experience, loneliness, fear, anxiety. That happens through the separate self. You see every time i fully dissolve I'm gone dead nada. Aware of nothing, beyond the ecstasy and love lies a nothingness,an existence without an observer. Therefore an observer always get created for there to be an experience aka the separate self. Tbh i don't believe anyone can escape samsara or reincarnation. There is no one to escape, you are forever experiencing yourself from different viewpoints. Otherwise you wouldn't exist and as Leo said thats impossible. A tautology, god is eternal. Infinity is eternal. Your view of life is an integral part of the infinite viewpoints of god. It also makes sense from buddhism's perspective. Enlightened masters are not going mad shivering in fear and loneliness. They are some of the most chill and happy beings alive. If it was a mental hellhole no one would advocate for enlightment at all. I would think psychedelics are responsible for the bad experiences concerning enlightment. Everyone gets a different experience when dissolving the ego mind while on them. Its particularly tailored to their body-mind and adapts to them. There are as many roads to god on psychedelics as there are people. Psychedelics also make you face your demons and fears. They even have the power to convince you that these things are real. You could hallucinate many crazy things. There was a guy on LSD that hallucinated his whole arm being made from knives. Each finger a knife on it's own.Pictures start moving, inanimate objects become alive.I mean we are melting our mind to get to god. Who said this was safe lol ;D. And i'm not judging on these substances but damm, they sure are a crazy tool. I'm speaking from experience.. On the other hand meditation seems to be a more calm generic way to reaching the divine. Monks and meditators don't go around forums yelling oh my god i had a bad trip,i had existential terror, help solipsism etc.It sounds funny when i say it like this even though i went through it as well hahah I hope you had fun reading this fellow explorers and i would love to get more opinions on this as well
  18. My Opinion: The probability of a human being to not have been a human being in a previous life and not going to be a human being or better in the future life are slim. Most probably you will be a human being or better in your next life. The tendencies, impressions, the accompanying knowledge, intelligence and mental structure being very much in compatibility with its immediate experience of being a human being, along with the further Knowledge of liberation and enlightenment in case of a jnani and devotion towards some god in case of a devotee, combined with atleast socially accepted moral and ethical standards ensure a better life in the next incarnation. Other possibilities are also possible, but are not the norm. Here is the proof: Before a reincarnation occurs, there is a gap in-between(actual earth time differs from person to person) two incarnations where other experiences are experienced, which are either heavenly or uncomfortable depending upon the impressions & tendencies you have accumulated in your life. This is very much similar to the dreams we have at night, which are based on what we do during the day time in our waking state. Having once attained enlightenment and merged completely into Non-Dual brahman(absolute truth / absolute unity), there is no individuation for that particular entity ever again. Other countless individuations may be happening. But, that merged entity is done for, never to be born again or indivduate again. It may be possible to bring the same entity into existence if needed, because ultimately everything is just an imagination. But, for brahman, who is really the doer in the form of prakrithi(Nature/reality). There is no need to depend upon one single entity for anything. Dear friends, it is wonderful that all of you have come so much closer to knowing the truth which is very much worth knowing. But, without studying this truth systematically from the knowledge pile which already exists for thousands of years, and simply depending on your own direct experience for everything is not going to get you so far. Even direct experience without proper knowledge will lead to further illusion and ignorance. As you can see, even the enlightened people will keep changing their teaching as new insights and truths unfold for them. What insights and knowledge one enlightened person has, the other may not have had. All these confusions & fear are there because of not undergoing proper study under a proper authority. These days its very difficult to find a proper authority. Atleast you can read the authoritative books which are accepted by many enlightened for thousands of years. In that regard Yoga Vasistha can answer many of your questions which are irking everyone. This ancient work(Yoga Vasistha) is atleast 10 times better in entertaining than the movies The Matrix, Inception and Interstellar combined: https://estudantedavedanta.net/The-Supreme-Yoga-Swami-Venkatesananda.pdf
  19. I agree my view on this is that those who became mad through real suffering either take revenge or refuse to escape the 3d world and instead transcend it while within it as to actually truly understand it from this particular position; so of course by definition of the difficulty of such a suffering the masters that ascend first came and/or go somewhere else spiritually speaking; that is, their suffering is not so much our own it might have been something imaginary or they just didn't have to suffer because you don't have to. Not suffering is the best but that will mean you will discount mundane reality as only imaginary and not both like me for example;there are people who will have suffered even more than me in a 3d type trivial way so their field of reality will be more in direct parallel type world (maybe that's how psychopath elites are formed through successive slow torturous reincarnation and then pure revenge); there's this dichotomy of true power through total domination, ascension can happen from any position, it is only not understood because we are social creatures but we have dominated the inferior species so to speak, in other words if a psychopath completely dominates other humans there is literally no difference from what you and me are benefiting from right now, they will get their dominance and "evil" will be enlightened as it is and perfectly and just as ultimate if not more if you want to add any other element. Also assuming pain is what somehow creates the self recursive conscious imagination of reality. In the end or from the start or whatever it can be all a story/game for fun.It can be some straight up non imaginary type reality though and still enlightenment.Like non infinite enlightenment or enlightenment through literally torturing kids and having pleasure through it.I'm utterly unhinged in my thought process/imagination so please bear with me even here I can only expose 15% of me everyone is too sensitive for real freedom even on this forum it feels like some idiotic anti love prison which is also part of the game and perfectly understandable and even reasonable I just want it my way lol.
  20. Yeah lol This is the part where you gotta find the answer for yourself But, my intuition is telling me justfortoday is correct, because why would Infinite Intelligence base your reincarnation on something as dumb and material as the population on a planet? And why only the creatures on Earth, why not other dimensions and creatures?
  21. If nonduality could be explained, no one would believe it. You & a universe is two. Nothing is emerging to dismiss. I love creation, I’m not dismissing it. I’m saying there aren’t two. Dogma is the opposite of inspecting direct experience, or, nonduality. Yes, the idea of reincarnation is not the direct experience of it, just like everything else. Direct experience requires seeing through beliefs. Direct experience is ‘correct’, because it is direct experience. If direct experience is deception, then the direct experience is that of deception. There’s no direct experience of a brain, sans a thought, ‘brain’. The ‘brain’ appears to, but does not produce. What is can’t be predicted, it’s already what is. 100%. ?
  22. Can you please explain the pointer of non-duality then. What does it point to if not to the non-existence of dualities in the universe. The way I understand it is this definition from wikipedia: In spirituality, nondualism, also called non-duality, means "not two" or "one undivided without a second". Nondualism primarily refers to a mature state of consciousness, in which the dichotomy of I-other is "transcended", and awareness is described as "centerless" and "without dichotomies I understand that the universe is as it is without the ideas and labels. But that doesn't mean we don't have the mental tools to learn about the universe through repeated observations and make predictions. Like the concept of limits in calculus, we can make better and better theories about the universe that get closer to the ground truth of the universe, but never completely reach the ground truth. Why do you completely dismiss all emergent properties of the universe, such as the mind and its ability to learn about its situation in reality? I get it... everything we know about the universe is mental constructs/objects. But there is no good reason to dismiss everything that our mind creates, this kind of anti-intellectual reasoning leads nowhere, the extent to which direct experience is valued over all else seems almost dogmatic here. The very idea of reincarnation requires belief. Please explain how you are directly experiencing reincarnation. Also, how can you be so sure that even without beliefs and any labels your direct experience is correct? Direct experience is equally deceptive. The reality that you experience is a result of your brain creating internal models which use predictions. Your direct experience is never ground truth but the best attempt at predicting what is.
  23. These memories are not illusions only if you are able to recall something that seemed very real but you had never ever seen that before. Take this for example : If you are experiencing yourself eating something white and round ( if you were a South Indian in your past life ) but you had never seen or heard about it but able to vividly experience the appearance and taste of it, then you have proved that reincarnation is real. Any other kind of proof which originate from existing memory you had in this life has a good chance of turning out to be the result of powerful imagination.
  24. @Mada_ I don't know about reincarnation specifically. You can be conscious of what reality is, and its nothing. My last mystical experience I thought, and even now I can feel it if I pay attention, "I am nothing, I will never not be nothing. And so I know, I know, that I will never die.". Nothing will never go. Framing this in terms of reincarnation or souls, I don't know. Maybe you can find some sort of empirical or scientific answer by researching and etc, but that sort of endeavour seems too difficult to me. When people talk about" past lives", it could be something they're just "making up", your psychological structure expressing itself in a symbolic fantasy. But don't write off the possibility it's real. When I was meditating once, my mind imagined myself in a past life. It was a very vivid experience. If I am to believe the experience I had, I was a tall young African American (or just African) male in my past life who was a criminal and died by being shot by someone. In this supposed past life I killed people as a criminal. I got the impression I sacrificed myself before my death somehow, and changed my ways somehow. Bled to death in the middle of a road after being shot. A chubby African female onlooker who was distressed. They were a loved one or a very close friend I think. Again though, this is probably all bullshit. Who knows.
  25. @Leo Gura How did you come to the insight of reincarnation?
