Bashar is just entertainment. It’s not real.

Really contemplate this…

@UnbornTao I mean, enlightenment or awakening isn’t the opinion of someone else at the end of the day. You have the experience or access the state and you know.
This idea that awakening has to come from a technique like meditation but not a technique like tripping is kind of strange to me. It’s a weird bias after enough contemplation.
-
@UnbornTao You sure about that?
-
@Daniel Balan Bro, you can put 10 bucks away for 4 months and buy it. You are making excuses.

@Leo Gura If you do one in Canada I am down. I don't plan to ever to the states unless things really change.

It's an interesting question... Could you reach the Alcohol state by meditating? The Marijuana state? The LSD State? The nn-DMT State? Why is it so common people ask if they can reach the 5meodmt state?

Which pretty much means you wouldn't understand infinity anymore likely.

@Meeksauce Um, Idk. I find it's so expansive that time and past and present can seem like they never existed and all of reality was always and has always been this sort of moment that exists and doesn't exist at the same time. But, this is my ego projection it's more than this. It generally is very benevolent and graceful. 5meodmt taught me levels of forgiveness and wisdom I couldn't have found without that state.
I think meditation and relaxation can help. If you can afford a massage that would be nice. Try doing some relaxing pranayama. Eat well, sleep well.
All this can assist I think. Also, making sure to be in a clean environment, with relaxing music helps. I also like to set a timer I can refer to as it helps me stay a bit more grounded and I feel more secure when I can see time is passing when I glance at it. I also don't let myself move around during the timer. Make sure you trip somewhere that is really comfy too. A relaxing, natural high quality incense can be great too. Also, having a journal to write it afterward. And having a clear schedule for the rest of the day.
I would measure out the dose, and have some there for when you feel safe enough to go deeper. I personally wade the water low dose even now when I haven't tripped for months. I start low, feel safe enough and I take more and increase the dose. I would trip later that day with a larger dose or the following day. Once I feel safe, I can take a solid dose and really go into it without resistance which is key.
If the trip is uncomfortable, I find doing another trip helps as odd as that sounds, 24 hours later.
-
There is always a risk. Make sure you are in a calm cool setting, in a room with nothing that can harm you or get knocked over. Start with a low dose. I personally never used a trip sitter. The only danger came from taking doses too high in my experience... (I also use to move around too much and interact with things.. don't do that). Just lay back and relax and chill. Let go and enjoy.
You could very well have a deep experience on your first hit. I don't know how you will respond but it's a pretty quick experience if vaped. If you start low, make sure the set and setting is ideal, calm and safe... Don't use any other drugs days before... You should be okay. Enjoy!
I deeply enjoy the experience generally. I also have a tolerance for scary trips which I have had on 5meo with my ego trying to understand it. So, it's work. It's intense. But, it's worth it if you can get a good trip.

@gettoefl I'd say God is where pain is too

Marijuana is more dangerous for people, especially young people than people like Joe Rogan, all those old netflix documentaries, pop culture, etc have us believe. It's really a shame.
-
@Leo Gura That would be really cool for whoever did that!

@Eskilon He didn't just sit though. He explored around, observed people, tried different techniques and created a system of understanding suffering which considered both the individual and the collective. The four noble truths and the 8 fold path is really a system of healing and living well. It's really the foundation of a good philosophy of living... Not just transcending suffering. No one had done this before, as I understand and that is why it is such a profound teaching. Leo loves to shit on Buddhism but it's foundational to living a good life.
What I personally don't like about Buddhism is when people get stuck on it, become a Buddhist, start dressing like a monk which is so dumb... and take shallow understanding of the teaching without going more meta, and studying other systems too. Being a buddhist is dumb. But, the heart of buddha's teachings are profound.
He essentially embarked on a philosophical spiritual and inner scientific endeavor like no one had ever done which required an extreme and rare ambition. To create your own spiritual path is rare that is grounded and as clean as it is... That is why he is still remembered, or believed to has existed today and the idea of his life and teachings touch millions of people.
To not only become an "awakened one" within Buddhist idealogy, but to then teach and share that for over 40 years is ambition.
I personally think it's wise to take the 8 fold path as a basic skeleton for all of self help.... but that is just me.

@Leo Gura Same. That’s what I don’t like exactly about multi orgasm teaching of Mantak Chia. But, it at least helps last longer in bed.

@Eskilon He was extremely ambitious

Yeah, but the structure of many forms of Christianity is what I am pointing to.
-
@Elliott I see I’ve fallen into the ego pleasure of arguing fruitlessly. Take care Elliot. I also got lots to contemplate on. Don’t care about proving I am right or being right here. I see lots of areas I can improve on truthful, accurate and conscious communication.
-
@Elliott Confucius, our lord and saviour. Repent in the name of the Buddha. Atone for your sins or Lao Tzu will send you too hell.
Common teachings, or universal truths are fine. Not sure your point there.

4 minutes ago, Elliott said:Have you read about Thanksgiving?
China had teachers like Jesus.
You just commented on brutality. Looking at the trajectory Rome was on, you don't think Jesus's teachings may have altered ways of thinking?
No, because they went on crusades in his name. They even wiped out most of these fun loving Indians in his name too.
China had teachers yeah. But they were not Jesus and we’re not the same type of religion structurally at all.
-
@Elliott What’s interesting too is that jf Jesus was always a fiction he is essentially a type of technology.
-
@Elliott No I’ve listened to audiobooks on early recordings of observations with how these people lived. There is well substantiated historical accounts of the brutal nature of which these people lived. It’s like this all over the world. Humans are brutal creatures.
Idk, China never had Jesus as a core teacher and they are fine. Humanity was fine before and after Jesus realistically. The idea that Jesus actually did anything profound I think is overblown. Christians are just as bad if not worse than any other religion. He is also a myth. The bible, and all its contributing authors and its impact is massive I agree. But that’s technology and wisdom combine which is interesting to think about.
I am actively forming an opinion on this. Not sure.If Jesus actually increased the conscious of humanity in a profound way that would be something. Unfortunately, those who follow him are dead weight for our growth and development. Because in reality they are not following anyone. They believe a concept which they have no direct experience of.
