This is the Wikipedia page on Epistemological solipsism. Give it a read .

I agree with the definition.

One can only be sure of the existence of his own mind . Other minds are not necessarily rejected but they cannot be known for certain.

So to frame solipsism as "I'm the only mind that exists and all other minds don't exist " as a definitive claim is false and I don't agree with .

To frame it as "I'm the only certain mind that exists and other minds cannot be known " is a claim that I agree with .

I hope you guys can see the subtle difference here .

You can awaken to being completely alone as God.  You can call this whatever you want.  Bit you can awaken to being God - with all other being you - no different than a dream at night.   Does that make you alone? Yes, from the sense that you for the first time realize that everything else including the idea of you is held within your mind as an idea.  It will shock you to the core.   But that is God realization.   It also comes with Divine Bliss.  It is not all bleak.  It is only bleak for the first time God realizes it is by itself.  It is a responsibility no one wants.

There are only wise actions. No amount of words can make you more wise. Knowledgeable, yes, but wise? No. Wisdom requires experience and experience requires action. What kind of wise action are you gonna take?

All Teachers and Teachings are delusion. You have all the answers within you. The first step on the journey to Enlightenment is questioning all the beliefs and teachings you have ever received. Teachers/Teachings are a distraction/maya at the highest level. There comes a point where you need to trust in your own innate knowledge and derive your own insights into the nature of reality. Teachers make a living and lifestyle of selling you water by the river. You don’t need them. All you need is an insatiable desire for truth and then seriously contemplate reality and uncover all that is false.

If wise words prove a person is enlightened, do unwise words prove the opposite?

I suppose that's why silence is the purest pointer to the impersonal.

Just because God loves you doesn't mean it is going to shape the cosmos to suit you. God loves you so much that it will shape you to suit the cosmos.

The messenger is not relevant here; the words that were said are golden.

The messenger is never relevant.

Don't sound like such absolutist :P

It depends, sometimes I care about the messenger too

The messenger is never relevant because you’ve been talking to yourself this entire time.

You’re just not aware of that right now, otherwise you’d be in love with everything to a frightening degree.

No no no, I'm not going there.

I need to stay grounded. Today I like to think that me is me and other are other.

I will save solipsism for when I trip.

Actually, I prefer the reality where the infinity of gods exist. My game my rules.

Think of the two messengers as being solipsism and infinity of gods.
At a certain point, you’ll realize that the distinction between them is basically null.

Which one is more true?

The infinity of Gods falls apart because it assumes that within the dream anyone with a brain or who supposedly has consciousness is having their own experience.   But what if brains don't have consciousness?  Then a person becomes no different than a chair.   So if you want to go that route, break a chair down to atoms having their own experiences.   Then quarks.  Then what's smaller then quarks.   You can keep going to Infinity

You can keep going- to Infinity

You are left with Infinity

Infinite Love merges the infinite and finite beautifully :)

I shall integrate this more gracefully, thanks to all of You.

Is it absolutist to realize the absolute? xD

Only if you turn it into another dogma :S

But, of course, some people need rules and categorizations to keep them afloat… for the time being.

@Moksha @Yimpa @r0ckyreed

@Intraplanetary just expressed his appreciation for good explanation from inlyightened and you guys felt the need to dismiss and deconstruct that. You don't have to force the action/absolute into small acts of kindness.
