Can I use Alpha male role models for my own development?

13 posts in this topic

I don't feel that masculine at all. (I'm a biological female). But it seems like a lot of the guys these days are getting inspired by Hyper masculine alpha male role models in the media, think of David Goggins, Dan Bilzerian, Jocko Willink etc.

Do you think these will benefit me as a female?

Be careful being too demanding in relationships. Relate to the person at the level they are at, not where you need them to be.

If what you're struggling with is typical masculine traits (assertiveness, getting shit done, being very goal oriented, being  non-agreeable etc.) then I think some masculine role model can definitely help.

But hopefully you choose one of the healthier ones :)

@Federico del pueblo hell yeah.

I struggle a lot with assertiveness, getting shit done. I act very submissive most of the time.

I have low levels of motivation.

I envy guys who do Marathons because I can never get shit done.

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

you have to ask what resonates for you

all the people you cite are good and you will intellectually benefit

but if it is aimed at men will it be actionable for you

you need to find material that you can implement immediately

No in my opinion you need a real man in your life to bring best out of you

to become masculine its no easy thing and it wont happen just by emulating alfas its a whole system fix

Im saying focus on being a better woman

Who teaches us whats real and how to laugh at lies? Who decides why we live and what we'll die to defend?Who chain us? And who holds the Key that can set us free?

It's you.

You have all the weapons you need

Now fight.

David Goggins and Dan Bilzerian are completely different. Dan Bilzerian plays an alpha male playboy, I don't think he'd be of value to you. On the other hand, David Goggins has a great message for everyone. Jocko Willink is pretty darn neat too.

Yes you can benefit. Try to work towards David Goggin's and Jocko's discipline. That's about the best they do for everyone, regardless male or female.

@UpperMaster so I guess I need to cut Dan Bilzerian out.

It's just a bunch of individual traits that some prefer to believe are the only 'masculine' traits and then a veneration of those specific traits even though those are but a limited portion of the spectrum of traits to be found in our human experience.

With a select demographic celebrating that specific recipe of traits and nothing else they only will call masculine. It crowds out any other consideration given to the other traits as having masculine influence on our well being. It limits the freedom of expression.

It may sound like I'm judging it but I'm just describing it as I observe the habituation of it. I don't have a moral prescription for this dynamic just a heads up from one aware being to a fellow aware being.

Traits have both masculine and feminine aspects of them if they even have that dualism at all.

All male leaders who were powerful in history fell under this category, as such, not much has changed.

It's about who you are & who you wanna be, not about benefits you get from being one particular way.
