You don't need it to walk from pole to pole to believe the earth is round.

You dont need to walk from pole to pole to know that there is no earth

@Arzack what I said was too generic because we need to deal with projections on a specific case by case basis?

I thought it was quite specific I gave an example.

Divest from the conceptual. Experience the actual.

Ok so the example was ""i wish i didn't have to do this extra work""

Your assumptions here are:

1) I have to do this extra work"

But if it is "extra", maybe you don't have to do it.

This triggers a fear that if you don't do it something bad will happen.

What's that fear?

@Arzack Isnt it better for us to continue our practices and evolve further without attaching labels on what we are?

I really dont know you so there's a good chance you could be at a higher state of consciousness idk, but why limit yourself by saying you reached the finish line when there doesn't seem to be one?

Like I said, there are progressing levels of enlightenment. But if you are not enlightened you can only aim to the first level. You can't go form non-enlightened to second level, it's a step by step process.

The difference is that when you reach first level enlightenment you're more concerned to helping other reaching it too. You don't have any impending desire to reach higher levels.

The impending desire to reach level one is gonna vanish when you reach first level.

Agreed, especially when "enlightenment" has so many different degrees and flavours. It's a useless label. The spectrum is too vast.

Nope.

Thoughts = duality.

We are many persons/people. Some are in samadhi, some are not. Both are true.

So what you were looking for was not truth but samadhi?

I was looking for a lot of things. Then I started to differentiate what things were better to look for and what were better to not look for.

Truth and samadhi are better than other things, so I looked for both in my path to enlightenment.

Then how is samadhi enlightenment?

samadhi and enlightenment are two words for the same thing

Enlightenment, samadhi, being human these are just thoughts. If you never learn, you never born. But just enjoy whatever you are experiencing till no one left to experience anything. Much ❤️

jee, what a bunch of bullshit people often sling to each other on this forum lol. It often gets into a back and forth of mental gymnastics, trying to disprove others using a rather arbitrary point of view
