@winterknight after full realization, could you see yourself running a business in the service industry or would it be to difficult to stay in character for 8-10 hours a day?

@winterknight  From the mind's perspective, is the world destroyed and created anew every moment? That is, is being (of objects) a verb? Is the world a noun or a verb (from minds perspective, since you have said from Self's perspective world doesnt quite exist in the first place)

Depends on the person. In Hindu tradition it is said there were many kings who were enlightened. They were running their kingdoms full time. Depends on the person's prior mental experiences and conditioning.

Some people are enlightened and live in caves. Enlightenment or not has nothing to do with this choice... depends on the person's habits and emotional and mental background.

From the Self's perspective there is no world, only Self. The thought "world" does not arise.

Ehm. And what if I can't get any relationship because everyone hates me? There is no hope for enlightenment for me then?

You don't need a romantic relationship. Every time you meet someone that is a relationship. Your family, anyone who you talk to, anyone who you buy things from. Your life is already full of relationships.

That is all that is meant.

@winterknight Have you noticed differences between male and female for type of practice that works best

I have not, personally, no. The key is to look at much more than your gender, and examine your own individual psychology and figure out which path is the one that you feel able to follow.

Heh. It's only tiring if there's identification with the one who is answering :)

What is your opinion on alcohol and tobacco? After my enlightenment experience I have used both. The reasoning being that nothing matters anymore (not in a nihilistic way, but a good way).

I see I see. :) Well I did just come up with a question. What about masturbation? Is there anything as an energy related to the orange chakra - to give it a name - which has a natural cycle like the wind, and the tides, and life and death in general? It's all based on cycles. Sexual energy is also natural. Yet there's these people out there all about "no-fap". Any useful perspective you can give on this? ?

There's nothing inherently wrong with them, but obviously it's not good if they're used out of craving/addiction/emotional dependency. Also, obviously they have risks associated with them of various kinds, so just be honest with yourself about that fact.

I don't really think in terms of chakras, so can't answer that part.

On the spiritual search you want to calm your mind and increase concentration, so whether masturbation is good or not relates to that.

Depends on your personal psychology. For some people, not masturbating can calm their mind -- can take it away from constantly fantasizing about sex, watching porn, etc.

Nothing wrong with those activities in themselves, of course, but they can make it harder to have a calm mind.

For others, moderate masturbation might be the best way to calm the mind, and nofap might actually make the mind way more agitated. So it's a judgment call based on your individual psychology.

You're trying to get to a place where you are not addicted to sense pleasures (of which sex is one). Nothing wrong with them, but dependence on them for happiness is a sure recipe for suffering.

I love all your answers winterknight. Sometimes they just confirm what we are already thinking!

Another one: do you come across as 'weird' to other people who are not enlightened in your day to day life? I find that the stark reality of my honesty and simple presence is hard for people to accept. Perhaps because I am not overt in showing my interest in enlightenment and try to 'fit in' with society, therefore my demeanour 'stands out' as I am not associating with other people on the 'path'; but everyday people who are not seeking enlightenment.

Interesting. think I can come across as very normal until people get to know me and they they might start to see how I'm weird. :D

Do you find that now time gets distorted? Like hours go by, yet it feel like minutes? I've been up for 4 hours and it only feels like half an hour.

@winterknight My therapist gave me good insights, but the entire time I felt like he was trapped in ego...  I feel like he needs to be on a spiritual path. Otherwise it's shallow, like it was with mine, with occasional gems but just because he has lots of psychology experience.

That can happen sometimes, yes...

The therapist does not need to be on a spiritual path, as long as he is supportive of you being on your spiritual path. The key thing is that he helps you with your emotional obstacles. Do you feel like he listens? Is he nonjudgmental? You already said he does bring good insights to the table. These are the keys.

If you feel like he is "trapped in ego," that is something you should bring up with him. That's a negative feeling towards the therapist that might be coming from your past, and that you and your therapist should be able to talk about together.

Who is this "I"? Look into that and you will find your answer.

@winterknight would the mantra/affirmation "just observe" be good for letting go, or does  this falsely imply an observer?

Falsely implies an observer. Better to question the I, or else to give up observing... when you give up paying attention to the things around you, including your thoughts and feelings, the Self is what remains. It holds you always.

If you realize enlightenment in this life-time does your level of consciousness reset in the next?  If so then how can a self-realized person fully eradicate fear and suffering and the fear of death when they know all that will be reset once death to the body takes place?  Assuming life cycles through different subjective perspectives, infinitely (even if it is an illusion).

I get this is probably an unanswerable question because it is still making assumptions and within constraints of time etc, just a question that often stumps my mind so any insight is nice if you understand where I'm coming from...  Thanks!

When you realize enlightenment, you realize that you are not your body and mind. Therefore you were never born, do not die, and cannot be reborn.
