Hey everyone

So nothing really going well in my life for past 6 months. I was exercising, meditating and reading books for 1 hr everyday but one day I decided to take a break from it and just focus on my exams which I did the exams got over in june and I havent been able to do any of the 3 habits continuously even for a week. Now I just don't do it at all. So how should I get back on the horse and start practising all habits ?

Secondly my addiction to PMO thats porn masturbation and orgasm ruining my life I jerk off 3 times a day . I just can't seem to stop it. Sometime I limit it to once a day but after a week i just fall back right again into the 3 times cycle. I have given up hope cause I have tried million times to stop it just to get back doing it. I have tried this for the last 4 years to stop it. The maximum I have gone is 2 months without PMO.

Another thing ruining everything for me is smartphone. I spend 8 hrs daily just doing nothing and browsing internet ,watching youtube.

I tried everything I tried tony robbins pain and pleasure technique I cry everytime doing it I quit for a day and next day I just forget a about it and come right back doing it

Help me out How can I turn this around

Do you know this video?

Maybe raising your awareness will help you with your addictions. Meditation, Yoga and that sort of stuff. You will have to go very slowly to prevent falling back into your old habits.

It actually sounds like you are addicted to your house/apartment. haha

Leave your house and keep your cellphone at home. And the internet addiction, cellphone addiction, jacking off, will immediately go away.

Go biking, skateboarding, surfing, canoeing, swimming, horse back riding, arcade, bowling, socialize with people etc. etc. etc.

People have given awesome pieces of advice already.

The way Leo describes "Awareness Alone Is Curative" isn't the full solution. By observing the activity you want to get rid of, you only observe the negative aspects of that activity which builds Resistance to that activity over time. Your job is to face Resistance, not to build a wall of it.

Spirituality is any movement towards the Unnamable. Everything is spiritual.

The only true way out Resistance is going into it because any way out of it is staying in it.

The purest life possible is surrendering to the Absolute.

When you have split-shift job, you'll drop all the addictions or will get fired.

I tried observing my addictions it works for a while like when I was trying to drop porn habit after observing it I realized I was watching someone else having sex to get myself off It made me feel so dirty that I just quit porn for a week but somehow came back to it again

If you have time to spend 8hours on phone and masturbate all day then what are you doing with your time?

Okay, I understand you're going to university, do you think It's enough to study while there to build decent career? Fuck no, school can only make you corporative slave, most of learning is done outside school.

What about hobbies? Music, arts, sport, whatever, do you have them? If not then find what you would love to do.

That's just whining while all you need is some discipline and list of goals.

I study, work in two jobs, train in 3 different sports, working on business. That's what you need to do, fill your time up with stuff that will create your dream life or, well, you already know what will happen If you don't do It, you will just work in average job, masturbate daily and spend free time on internet. This is the same pain/pleasure principle - start your own personal revolution and stick to It or just accept your life as It is, as It won't change If you don't force It to change. You have the choice, be wise!

Try sitting in your bed literally doing nothing for 30 minutes then work your way up to an hour, 2 hours, and so on. No sleeping. Try doing this every single day for a month. If you fail you’re addicted. If you don’t, you have some self-control and you will be able to develop even more self-control in yourself by doing this process.

Love.

Addictions are created by thoughts, thoughts are created by a lack of Love. Open your Heart, we must heal it's wounds from lifetimes of neglect.

Feel your hearts embrace of this moment of existence, and your love will awaken in everything you perceive ❤️

In order to get rid of your addictions, you need to understand how addictions are formed: There are problems in your life. These problems cause you to have negative thoughts and uncomfortable emotions. Your brain subconsciously says: "I want to escape this suffering!! What if there was a way to get rid of these negative feelings? Oh, I remember! Every time I watch youtube videos and masturbate, I boost my feel-good hormones and escape this suffering. That's what I'm gonna do." And then you do. And now you're totally 'satiated' and have no need to solve the root cause of your problems. You're digging a hole for yourself that's gonna get harder and harder to climb out of.

So, to get rid of this cycle, you need to identify the problems in your life that cause you negative thoughts and emotions. These are the problems that initiate you to act on the addictions (or negative habits). Maybe the problem is that you're lonely, so you need to make intimate relationships. Maybe the problem is that you're unhealthy, so you need to eat better and exercise. I don't know what your root problems are, but once you identify them, start to contemplate how you're going to get rid of them.
