You all know my style and what I like.  Which Enlightenment Guru do you think I would resonate with best?  I'm talking about the famous ones.

Why do you want a guru?

Frankly, just curiosity.  I want to see why these people are so famous.

Not really sure maybe you could read about gurus who have already achive what you are looking for in the past and read about those that way you could learn from them and gain insights from further down the path you want to go

if you want to know why they are famous my best guess is it's because they where too good to be ignored at rare and valuable skills in what they did (also a book by cal newport so good they can't ignore you)

@Joseph Maynor Is this list representing the ones you just found that you could go investigate or have you already listened to their material? If you haven’t, definteley listen to Alan Watts, he should be way more popular than he already kinda is.

Hey, what's up! This is Jack R. Hayes, I'm an author, currently living in Germany. Thus far, I've written two books, both in English and German; one's called "User's Manual for Human Beings", and the other one's called "The Wisdom Espresso". If you'd like to check out my work, visit me at  https://jackrhayes.de  or go to Amazon and search for my name. I'd be happy to see you there!

love this men

One’s center is not one’s center, it is the center of the whole.

And the ego-center is one’s center.

That is the only difference, but that is a vast difference.-

1+ to yogananda

his autobiography is a fantastical tale, and heart centered, which may be a counter to your cerebral temperament

he's also closer to an actual 'guru', not just one of those non-dual-nerds
