I finally understand what religion is!

Religion grounds people's sanity. That's why it's so prominent throughout the world. Deconstructing religion feels like losing one's sanity and mind.

The world is manifested through your sanity. 
Think of sanity and insanity as a spectrum, from closeness to openness. The more open a mind is, the closer it is to insanity. The more closed a mind is, the closer it is to sanity. 
Ultimately reality is infinite which makes it insane by default. The reason you're not seeing its insanity is because your mind is too closed and rigid. You can open your mind to new states of consciousness where insanity is the norm. And they're as true, if not more true, than your current experience of life and your sanity. 
Sanity is stupid, it misses the magical majestic mystical insane nature of existence. Be insane to open your mind to higher realms of wisdom and connection.

This is one of the dumbest threads of this forum of this year. Obviously it is imagination just like everything else. But to write about it in such a tone is to underestimate the function and need of stage blue development. To have disdain for it only means you are in it. And it is no surprise where OP comes from.

Where did I say any of that ? I distinctively said it’s emotionally difficult. Religion targets the emotional part of your brain, not just the rational. You get brainwashed with religious beliefs as soon as you start to have some basic intelligence to understand, very early in childhood while your brain is still fresh like a sponge and very prone to absorb brainwashing.

because as you’ve suggested, you can show a religious person proofs of the Big Bang and how there is no scientific evidence for the existence of any gods or supernatural entities,and how Darwinian Evolution debunked the biblical story of creationism etc ..yet there are still billions of Christians and Muslims in the world today who are diehard believers. And a huge chunk of them are actually aware of the problems with their religion because this is the age of easy and available information.Yet they can’t let it go just like that . It has become part of their identity.
