Livestreamed Conversation - The value of a man with Yetineti

21 posts in this topic

@yetineti takes me up on my offer to have a live streamed conversation on our disagreements about what makes a man valuable.

It'll be streamed live this Sunday 8 pm EST on my Youtube channel.

Feel free to come up with questions for us to answer and we'll address them on air.

Let’s be clear on the topic at hand. The debate is not generically on what makes a man valuable. You gave me the option to pick the topic.

We will be debating whether or not I have any worth as a man.

Let’s not shy away before it’s already happened. ;)

@LordFall

Then let’s be absolutely clear about what you just agreed to.

I said nobody would talk to me like this in person, so you challenged me and let me choose the topic. I chose whether I have any worth as a man.

You then broadened it into “what makes a man valuable.” I corrected the topic, and you responded, “Even better.”

I don’t have to challenge your definition of value or argue that mine is better. I only have to demonstrate one form of value that you already recognize, using your own standards. You now have to prove that my life, relationships, actions, abilities, and potential contribute absolutely nothing of value.

That’s the almost impossible, and a genuinely dehumanizing, position you just enthusiastically volunteered to defend.

This is gold.

You owe the world 10x value for the next year for wasting all of our time.

I don't think you understand how arguments work so I'll give you a hint.

Low value does not mean absolute zero; it means failing to meet the baseline standards of competence, agency, and leadership that define a high-impact man. A penny has value, but you can't buy dinner with it.

If your strategy is gonna be to prove to us that you're worth at least a penny then I think indeed you will manage to do that. If that satisfies you in terms of your own existence then I will say you've already lost long before we ever exchanged a single word.

Fair distinction: “low value” does not necessarily mean mathematical zero, and my explanation made that more absolute than I intended.

But I didn’t invent this premise. You previously defined low-value men as people who “literally don’t offer value to your life” and instead leech it. You told me I might offer no value to the world, attributed my disagreement to marketplace invalidation, told me to drop my ego and become skilled in something people value, and most recently said I bring little value to conversation.

My original message was responding to that entire pattern. When I clarified that I meant whether I possess meaningful worth as a man—not a generic discussion about male value—you answered, “Even better.”

Now you say I possess value but fall below your baseline for a “high-impact man.” Fine. Then you’ve conceded the premise I meant to challenge and replaced it with a narrower one.

So were those earlier judgments never actually your position, or are you revising your position now that you have to defend it directly?

There is no revision. When a product offers no value to a consumer, nobody is claiming the object ceases to exist at an atomic level—it means it fails to produce a functional benefit, and maintaining it costs more than it delivers. That is what a net drain is.

You’re taking this far more personally than it was ever meant, but it worked as intended: you are supposed to want to produce value, and you are supposed to fiercely defend your ability to do so.

When I challenge people like this, I don’t want them to collapse into victimhood—I want them to push back, build competence, and fight. I’m not here to be your caring mother. I’m here to share what I’ve learned about how the world actually operates and challenge men to step up in ways that genuinely matter to society. I think it's good for them, good for the women in their lives and good for our species as a whole.

You conceded that "low value" isn't a mathematical zero. Good. That leaves only the real question: does what you produce actually create abundance and solve problems for anyone, or does your existence simply consume bandwidth while breaking even?

Bring your case to the stream on Sunday at 8 PM EST. Let’s see what that value looks like off the forum.

Just keep it respectful guys.

From your posts here seems like there’s some hostility going on.

Nobody claimed that lacking value means ceasing to exist physically. That is a straw man.

Your product analogy also makes value relational: a product can provide no benefit to one consumer while being extremely useful to another. So who is the “consumer” in your assessment of me, what costs and benefits are being measured, and what evidence did you use to calculate that I am a net drain?

You know almost nothing about my work, relationships, responsibilities, finances, or the people who depend on me.

Quote

You’re taking this far more personally than it was ever meant,

You repeatedly made personal judgments about my competence, relationships, psychology, social ability, finances, and value as a man. Calling my response “taking it personally” does not make those judgments impersonal or mean that I am taking them personally.

If anything, your repeated inability to express points without making assumptions and attacking people is more evident that something is bothering you, not me.

Quote

but it worked as intended: you are supposed to want to produce value, and you are supposed to fiercely defend your ability to do so.

Then you have admitted these were not evidence-based assessments. They were provocations intended to make me defend myself and perform competence for you.

Whether your tactic successfully provoked me says nothing about whether your original judgment was true.

Quote

When I challenge people like this, I don’t want them to collapse into victimhood—I want them to push back, build competence, and fight.

You appointed yourself someone else’s motivational coach without knowing what they have already built, then treated resistance to your unsupported judgment as proof that your intervention was necessary.

That is self-sealing. If someone accepts your judgment, you “motivated” them. If they reject it, they are “collapsing into victimhood.” Either reaction allows you to preserve the assumption that you were qualified to judge them in the first place.

Also—I challenged you. You accepted and offered the livestream. You have not really challenged me.

Quote

I’m not here to be your caring mother.

Nobody asked you to be. The alternatives are not mothering someone or degrading them into self-improvement. You could simply support your claims with evidence and acknowledge what you do not know.

Quote

That leaves only the real question: does what you produce actually create abundance and solve problems for anyone, or does your existence simply consume bandwidth while breaking even?

That is a false dichotomy. “Breaking even” is not the same as being a net drain, and creating scalable abundance is not the only form of functional benefit.

More importantly, you asserted that I am low-value before knowing what I produce or which problems I solve. You are now asking me to supply the evidence you should have possessed before reaching your conclusion.

Quote

Bring your case to the stream on Sunday at 8 PM EST. Let’s see what that value looks like off the forum.

You made the judgment. You bring the case.

Frankly, you should be able to articulate a coherent claim and provide the evidence for it before I decide whether this conversation deserves any more of my time.

@LordFall Now you have to come up with a new video image. "Proving Yeti has very little worth" lol

What if this is just fascination + identity + seriousness being inflated into universal importance?

@yetineti I framed the title as an inquiry into male value in good faith, specifically to avoid putting you through a personal cross-examination on a public broadcast.

Since you explicitly insist on making the topic about your personal worth and what you contribute to the world, I'm happy to honor your terms. We will examine the exact mechanics, standards, and real-world evidence of that value.

That conversation happens on the stream, not through a written pre-debate on a message board. You asked for the mic, don’t backtrack into forum essays.

@Joshe I honestly thought it would've been rude to make the entire thread an audit of his personal worth, but he explicitly insisted on it. What can I say? The customer is always right 😂

The problem with male value or this line of thinking is it’s subject to change. You’re building your house on shifting sands. Even when I was growing up and a young adult I can see things were different from even now with what is expected of you. So it’s not what you need to align with. If you build yourself on any judgement of value you will always be chasing a carrot on a stick dangling in front of you, caring what others think of you. Now obviously there are choices you can make after having observed the world with a very clear mind where you can clearly reason why you may take action in a certain way or choose to shape your life a certain way. But this framing of it as an expectation or your value is ultimately going to fuck you. Me choosing to earn money and build a business has nothing to do with how valuable I perceive myself. I want to grow something and live nicely and support my family. I worked on my mind and education because I genuinely wanted to access those dimensions. Whatever people perceive of me now because of that is their business.
